Shattering Humanity-Chapter 75: "...Because Of You."

Saku and Friend are waiting outside a "Girl’s Bathroom" door.

Saku, tapping his foot, is back to his usual "resting bitch face" and looks down at his sitting, smiling, and panting dog.

Saku slightly opens the push door without looking in.

Saku: "You good in th-"

Kawaii: "GET OUT!"

Saku: "I’M NOT IN THERE! I’M J-"

Kawaii: "OUT!"

Saku sighs and goes back to waiting with his pup. He goes to look at his watch but before he can even focus on the digital face, there is a flush noise heard and Friend gets up wagging his tail.

Saku walks away from the wall and stares at the door with his arms crossed as the faucet is heard and the little girl yelps.

Kawaii: "AHH!"

Friend tilts his head in confusion as the small girl comes out with water all over the bottom of her shirt, quickly making Saku even more annoyed as he rolls his eyes.

All three are walking in a small parade back to Kawaii’s father. Saku, now wearing just a black long sleeve thermal, Friend, and little Ms. Kawaii is wearing Saku’s large "Saku 40"sweatshirt.

With the hood up, sleeves that hide her short arms, and the bottom of the sweatshirt at her shins. As they are walking through the underground traffic tunnel together, Kawaii is holding Friend’s dirty "Squad 40" bandana, still attached to the dog’s neck. Her tiny hand underneath the sweatshirt sleeve. The little girl instead of crying, is now singing and humming while bobbing her head left to right.

Kawaii(singing): "Oh he’s my Buppy, And I love him so much. Yea he’s my Buppy, and he’s sweet to the touch. Oh he’s my Buppy, I love him so much and that’s YOU! LAA- DI- DOO- LAA- DI- DOO!"

She playfully boops the wet dog nose on "you" and Friend licks her hand quickly.

Saku is slightly smiling behind them. The few people they pass take notice of the adorable little girl with her dog while her honorable "Big Brother" is keeping watch behind them.

They approach the pink tent and Kawaii opens it and enters to a still sleeping PaPa while he is snoring, with no blanket, just a pillow. As Saku gets closer and looks in, he can see fresh blood on the pillow as well as stains from the man’s mouth after coughing in his sleep and wiping it. Saku gets a worried look on his face. Kawaii, not knowing any better, goes and wakes her dad up by shaking him.

Kawaii: "Papa! Papaaa!"

The man snorts awake, wipes his mouth and the matching pink eyes to his daughters, looks around confused. He first sees Saku, next to the three year old "pup" outside the tent, and finally at his adorable smiling and blushing daughter. She does her squeak of excitement and hugs him.

Kawaii: "Papa! Big Brudder saved me so I could go potty and I met a ’buppy’!"

Saku crouches into view from the tent entrance and Friend peaks in, which makes the father flinch in fear.

Buck/PaPa: "I-Im sorry she bothered you. It won’t happen again."

Saku(grins): "It’s no big deal really."

He looks at the little girl still wearing his sweatshirt giving a kiss to his dog’s snout.

Saku: "Your daughter is actually a blessing, just like my dog here, and since it seems we both need a ’sitter’ to look after our blessings, I’m willing to offer a proposition."

The middle aged man looks up worried.

Itsuka, with her beautiful, shiny, platinum hair, no longer up or in loops, but down her back, walks up to the pink tent where Saku, Friend, Kawaii, and her father are standing around. Saku, back to wearing his Squad 40 sweatshirt, finishing his conversation with Kawaii’s PaPa. The light skinned and toned woman catches the impressionable young girl’s attention first and both girls squeak in excitement to see the other. Kawaii, now wearing a dry, pink shirt with the word "Cutie-Pie" on the front, waddle runs up to Itsuka making the two men turn and notice.

Kawaii: "Strong and Pretty Big Sidder!"

Itsuka blushes as she bends over to hug the giggling 5 year old.

Itsuka: "You can just call me ’Big Sis Itsuka’, and how are you, my little cutie-pie? Are you going to be taking my furry friend from me?"

Kawaii: "No. No. No. I’m going to be looking after ’Buppy’ while you and Big Brudder Saku go on dates and kill those scary monsters!"

Itsuka(more red): "D-Dates?!?"

She looks over at an unfazed Saku who shrugs off the little girl’s assumptions. He looks at the father and holds out his hand. The two men give each other a handshake.

Saku: "I’ll be back in a little bit, sir. Like I told ya, it’ll only be on extremely rare occasions and it’ll keep her busy."

The man silently nods and they release their grip. Saku turns to the little girl and his dog, he locks IceEyes with Friend.

Saku: "Remember what I told you about being a good boy, Buddy."

Friend: "RrUffF RufF!"

Saku smiles and gives his dog a pat on the head.

Saku: "I know you’ll be the Goodest of Boys."

Without him noticing, Kawaii ambushes Saku with a piggyback hug. Her warm cheek presses up against Saku’s in the embrace and he feels a tear land on his face.

The little girl is crying in happiness.

Kawaii: "This is the happiest I’ve ever been. Getting to spend time with Buppy, thank you so much Big Brudder Saku."

Saku gets surprised at first but then he smiles it off as she dismounts from the piggyback hug and wipes the happy tears out of her eyes and yawns.

Itsuka: "I think it’s nap time for YOU. If you want a secret, the doggy is a perfect and warm cuddle buddy."

The woman hugs the girl. Kawaii rubs her eyes as she opens the tent. The sleepy child looks at Friend with a soft smile.

Kawaii: "Wanna cuddles Bupp?"

Friend: "WruFF."

The two get into the tent and Friend looks back at Saku, he jumps out the tent, and trots up to Saku.

Saku bends down.

Saku: "Don’t worry Bud, I’ll-"

Friend stands on his hind legs and puts his front paws on his master’s shoulders, almost like a hug. Saku returns the hugs back to his companion and the dog goes back to all fours. It then turns back and jumps into the tent and the sound of zipping from the inside is heard.

Saku and Itsuka wave to "PaPa" Buck as they walk away.

As they walk side by side, Saku slightly behind Itsuka, he admires her new look for a moment in silence. Once she notices it makes her blush.

Itsuka: "W-we showed Sol where the bathhouse was, so Shelly and I decided to take a bath too. I haven’t had time to put it back up."

Saku: "I like it."

Itsuka stops and turns to see Saku, slightly blushing and scratching his temple in nervousness.

Saku: "Y-You should curl it while it’s down like that, I think you’d look even b-better."

Itsuka steps up to him, grabs the bottom of his head in her hands, and quickly kisses him and in a less dramatic fashion than their first.

Itsuka: "Thank you and I’m sorry if showing you my affection makes you uncomfortable or confuses you, it is inappropriate. If you want me to stop, I will, but..."

Saku stops her by putting his hand, softly on her head and petting her like he does to Friend.

Saku: "It’s fine, just...please don’t become a psycho, especially over someone like me. I originally thought you were really cool because of how you weren’t just another dainty female and your love for animals is exactly like mine."

He thinks about what Daisuki’s Clone said to them on their look for Taylor. He smiles as he EyeEngages with her.

Saku: "Without love for something, the only other option as a living, breathing human, is to hate. I’ve already begun to change because of you Itsuka, and I promise to never hate you."

Itsuka looks at her love with tears in her beautiful purple human eye and her acquired alien eye.

Itsuka: "You changed...

...Because of me?"
