Shattering Humanity-Chapter 421: All Gas, No Brakes: The Work Of Vinland’s "Deus Ex Machina"
"And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father’s brother, and that he was Rebekah’s son: and she ran and told her father.
And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month." -Genesis 29:12-14

Repetitive soft splashes under fast running footsteps on top of the ocean water is followed by a shouting battle cry coming from the giant Iceman fighter, Jesse James, as she swings her molten Seiõr covered staff with full force. The swing connects with the exposed torso to one of the 4 giant Icemen and chips of ice/crystal fall off the alien, into the ocean below.
Landing on top of the water, the SanguineSoulSeiõrShield covered Sheriff has no time before she is forced to backflip jump over a swiping, sharp crystal hand.
The missed open palm attack creates a small wave, and the pushed water splashes one of the other giants.
From a distance, what appears to be a golden pink bug sporadically scaling up the monster’s arm, is Jesse James continuing to use her Seiõr covered weapon to cut and slice up her larger foes.
She manages to swipe at one of the giant’s neck twice before having to jump away and create distance in order to dodge an incoming swat from a humongous hand.
Only a little more than 500 yards south from the 4 vs 1 ocean battle, on the sandy beach of the north shore, the successfully landed Vinland soldiers are beginning to set up a beachhead perimeter on the outskirts of the sand.
Barbwire is laid out on top of the cement wall parallel to the sidewalk and empty Tomodachi Town street.
While doing so, the humans unacknowledged by Seiõr are also taking peeks at the unbelievable maneuverability, strength, and poise exhibited by their version of the world’s ’Deus Ex Machina’.
More and more visible slices in the hard bodies of the giant Icemen are being left by the woman clearly out classing the group of tall aliens, even though she is outnumbered and under sized.
Taking their attention away from their duties, groups of soldiers are transfixed on the work of the pink haired, pink eyed, cowboy hat wearing woman as she is not only taking on four humongous ice monsters by herself, but also distracting them so her allies can get to land safely.
The Sheriff once again runs vertically up one of the giant’s arm, zigging and zagging while leaving an orange trail from her retractable pole as she slices up the beast’s appendage.
Before she can get to the Iceman’s shoulder, due to the Valkyrie blood in her 2nd Generational DæMon veins, Jesse James senses incoming danger and a shift in gravity. She leaps off the creature’s bicep just in time to not get body slammed into the water and brought under the surface by the Iceman submerging itself headfirst.
Now free falling, Jesse James’ eyes widen and she starts twirling the molten burning staff, the she uses her tight core to twist her body.
Upside-down, she is immediately face to face with an incoming ice/crystal hand reaching up to snatch and squash her in its palm.
Prepared for the incoming threat, before the fist can crush her, with the powerful, helicopter-like spinning of Jesse James’ staff, she miraculously drills a hole through the palm and out the back of the Iceman hand.
Keeping her speed and momentum through the beast’s hand, the skilled fighter glides down her enemy’s reaching out arm, then across its chest, and finally her heated staff makes connection with the giant Iceman’s neck.
The Sheriff leaves a sizable slice in the individual alien’s neck before she leaps off to avoid its retaliation swipe.
Not showing signs of fatigue or loss of breath, the brave fighter comes to a complete stop on the ocean’s surface.
Jesse James looks at three giant foes in front of her.
Her eyes move left to right, trying to figure out what her next move should be.
The pink eyes stop and widen suddenly after realizing the giant Icemen that dove underwater has not reappeared yet.
Shouting and defending artillery fire can be heard behind the Sheriff and she twists her head around, taking her vision off the three giants with everything below their waist submerged underwater, and bringing her gaze to the shore.
The furthest warship away from the sandy beach, one of the two small supply ships, is the unfortunate target to the Iceman who has broken off from the rest of its pack.
The soldiers on land with guns try to distract the monster, as well as the defending fire from close by ships still in the water, but to no prevail.
A few of the poor fated, screaming, and panicking Naval soldiers can be seen abandoning ship just before the crystal ice fist, as big as the vessel itself, comes crashing down creating an explosion on the water.
Grimacing at the sight of a valuable supply ship being destroyed, with equally valuable supplies inside, the "poised" Sheriff is no longer calm. Above her lip scar, the angered woman’s nose twitches and she clenches her teeth.
The explosion settles down, and black smoke on the water is the only proof the horrific scene actually happened.
Jesse James(thinking): *Okay...
You bastards want to play like that?*
As the other three giant Icemen are wading their way through the ocean water to get to her, Jesse James puts her head down, making the brim of her ten gallon cowboy hat covers the powerful woman’s beautiful face.
Jesse James: "Phæstis...
Can I borrow some of your power?"
Popping up to the water surface between the Sheriff’s feet is the incredibly airheaded author of the Voynich Manuscript. With her wet forest green hair and always closed eyes, the mysterious woman takes a serious moment of consideration.
Phæstis: "Hmmm....."
Each moment spent stalling to answer is another moment the group of three gets closer.
Phæstis: "Hmmmmmmmm....."
Jesse James: "Phæstis!"
Phæstis: "Oooookaaaaayyyy...."
The irritated Sheriff gets a shot of adrenaline and her SanguineSoulSeiõrShield grows thicker than even Shelly’s. Now back to her senses and apparently with the help of her colleague, Jesse James picks her head back up just in time to see a giant hand chopping down on her.
The sound of the splash is enough to ring the ears of everyone on the beach over 500 yards away.
The single giant Iceman is still causing trouble near the shore line though.
The chaotic ice monster has whatever little of the supply ship crushed in its grasp and brings it up to its eyeless face.
The ice/crystal head with empty eye sockets lifts slightly as if to "look" at the army of humans on the sand, ineffectively shooting at it.
Winding up the crushed metal like it was about to toss a baseball, the huge monster steps forward.
However, to its chagrin, before the Iceman can place any weight on its front leg, the torso of the Iceman falls backwards, completely separated from its legs.
An outrageously large SeiõrShot, has cut or melted the giant ice monster off the lower half. Evidence by the red/orange Seiõr marks cooling down just as the threatening Iceman’s back hits the ocean water, and the splashes create waves that reach the established beachhead.
Aware Soldier: "Tidal wave incoming!"
All the men and women run from their quickly fortified military base. Some inexperienced soldiers get caught their uniform caught on the barbwire in the panic.
The wave of forced ocean water overtakes the entire beach up to the cement wall which stops the rushing water.
While some of the slower soldiers that got caught in the wave are being helped to safety, there are a few men that get dragged back by the retracting current.
After being pulled a few yards out to the ocean, the few soldiers sucked in by the tide start to swim back.
While one of the Privates tries frantically to get back ashore, the young man stops in confusion.
Before he can process the situation, the poor, unfortunate soldier is pulled underwater and within 5 seconds the surrounding water becomes red with blood.
This happens to each of the two dozen swimming military men and women who were pulled out by the returning wave.

{A Few Minutes Earlier}
On the same two story gym building that Abby shot her cannon from, Katsu has his Communication Anjell Eye of Wisdom active with its respective Yang aura being released.
From a far but still within a visible distance, the Izanagi Captain is busy commanding the alien Icemen. He is actively creating problems for the Vinland leader and her military.
Coming to stand beside him, Shelly also looks out at the shoreline.
She scopes the blue water, trying to spot the cowboy hat wearing Sheriff and the matching SanguineSoulSeiõrShield to her own.
At this point, the sole giant Iceman brings down its hand to destroy the supply ship, causing the loud explosion.
Shelly’s azure eyes widen at the experience of witnessing the loud and bright visual of war. Her Valkyrie blood tingles through her veins and down her spine.
With the situation fully under his control, Katsu smiles while noticing Shelly’s infatuation with the sights of destruction he has created.
Katsu(thinking): *I can’t be too over zealous with my destruction and willingness to kill these scumbags...
But I do know the perfect amount to not blow my cover, and also make Shelly’s face light up.
Even though she’s pure and has a heart of gold, Shelly’s ancestors lived for the sights and sounds of war.
She can’t help but be unable to look away.*
He looks forward again and both watch as the Iceman closest to the shore begins its throwing motion.
Surprising Shelly, but not Katsu, in the blink of an eye, a red/orange SeiõrShot glides across the wind. The condensed energy is wide enough to evaporate the entire exposed waist of the attacking giant.
It does, and the giant falls backwards creating the dangerous tidal wave.
Katsu(thinking): *The giant Icemen are obvious just eye candy to the situation, especially since their top halves are the only parts visible...*
The two Takamagahara members watch as a few enemies get caught by the rushing wave, then are pulled out, and away from safety.
In no time, the heads of the swimmers begin disappearing one by one.
Katsu(thinking): *Since Icemen don’t need oxygen to breath, I made the majority of the smaller variants from the two islands north, latch on to the legs of 5 giant variants as they walked here.
Not to mention the swarm I had locked away in dead Roronora’s arena.
...I wonder how this cycle’s version that woman handles losing her entire fleet of military forces..."
