Shattering Humanity-Chapter 374: The Unbeatable Tag Team Vs. The Outlaw Sheriff

Standing in between Shelly and the completely confused 2nd Generation DæMon, Katsu deactivates his SoulSeiõrShield and smiles.
Katsu: "Hey, I’m Katsu, and this is Shelly!" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Jesse James(thinking): *That girl, she is stronger than he is, but that boy...he stands in the face of danger despite that obvious fact...*
The adopted sister puts a hand on his shoulder, trying to pull him back. The slight, not serious, physical contact between the two is focused on by the Sheriff, and she puts her head down in disappointment.
Shelly: "Katsu, don’t get to close to her!
She is one of those 2nd Generation DæMons Laban was talking about earlier! We don’t know whether or not she was the one who bombed us!"
The endearing young man turns his head around and gives a stern look towards his purpose.
His scowl making Shelly release her grip on him.
Katsu: "We don’t know for certain it was her or not, Shelly.
On my way here, I saw you activate your SeiõrShield first. We can’t go around making unjustified decisions, just because we’re in a panic mode right now. It will only make things worse!"
Shelly’s SanguineSoulSeiõrShield fades away, and she puts her head down in disappointment.
No sooner after, the SanguineSoulSeiõrShield of the Sheriff makes the area less bright as it too dims out.
Jesse James: "No... she’s right..."
Katsu and Shelly both turn in surprise to the confession.
Jesse James: "I’m sorry to burst your bubble young man,but my official title is ’Sheriff Jesse James’.
I am the leader to ’Vinland’s Final Front’, and like I was telling your friend there, as of today, everyone on this body of land is seen as the enemy to the millions I protect."
With her head still down, brim of the cowboy hat over her face. The Sheriff’s SanguineSoulSeiõrShield reactivates and the bright, golden pink, flame-like magic covers her entire body.
Dumbfounded Katsu stares across the rooftop at the woman preparing to fight.
Katsu: "What have we done to you?!?
My friends and I already have inappropriate targets on our backs due to some guy hating my Big Bro for his past mistakes!
And now you’re telling me you want to put another target on them, but with missiles and bombs aimed at them!?"
Shelly reactivates her own matching SanguineSoulSeiõrShield to the enemy.
Shelly: "Katsu, it’s no use..."
She unsheathes her gifted Seax from the sheath horizontally strapped to her waist.
Shelly: "... She’s already made up her war twisted mind. It’s just what Sensei said before, ’instead of footprints, she’s decided to draw lines’."
Unseen to the pair, the threatening 2nd Generation DæMon clenches her teeth to the claims she can hear.
Shelly: "Just please, since she doesn’t have an IceEye, stay out of-"
Cutting her off, Katsu’s all white SoulSeiõrShield pops off, and both women’s eyes dart over, looking towards the angered adopted brother.
The usually smiling and happy-go-lucky attitude from the Izanagi Captain is no longer present.
Katsu: "No Shelly, it’s you and me until the end.
We’ve got her..."
While Shelly blushes during the sentimental moment between the two, the jealous Sheriff is slightly bleeding from her fists as her nails digging into her palms.
Katsu looks up and a cocky attitude is now on his face.
Katsu: "...togethe-!"
But before he can finish the inspirational shout, a fist hits him square in the face sending him into the ice cream parlor across the street.
Shelly: "Katsu!"
Shelly tosses her Seax up and clenches her teeth down on the handle to her long dagger while turning to face the culprit.
Madame Fryer pops up next to her blonde ally, her flames blazing off her blade.
Taking a step that cracks the shingles to the roof they’re on, in one swooping motion, Shelly attacks their aggressor with a leaping side kick.
Proving a formidable opponent, Jesse James dodges the swinging leg strike with a backflip and handspringing an attempting swipe from the sentient blade.
Jesse James(thinking): *Oh yea, she has that floating blade of her’s. I better remember that...*
Stopping herself and landing on the very edge of the rooftop, the invading Sheriff’s pink eyes dart left to right, leaving a trail of pink aura wherever her irises move.
She fixates on Shelly’s incoming fist and with a coordinated block, redirects the punch.
However, with a new, shorter blade clenched between her teeth, Shelly thrusts her neck forward, barely missing her target’s face.
Shelly(thinking): *What am I doing?
I don’t attack with my tooth gripped-*
However, before she can get out the rest of the thought, a quick knee hits Shelly in the gut, lifting her off her feet.
A few boxer-like jabs, fists cutting the wind, a series of punches from her opponent land before the incredibly skilled fighter can find a pattern to dodge properly.
Shelly backflips out of the defensive guard, Madame Fryer positions herself in the air, and the coordinated team perfectly sets up a fast ball special.
As the Sheriff prepares herself to dodge, she gets surprised looking down, no longer having his SoulSeiõrShield active, Katsu has snuck up and grabbed the ankle of Shelly’s target just in time.
All Jesse James can do is attempt to block the SanguineSoulSeiõrShield powered strike.
She crosses her arms in front of her face at the last second, and Shelly’s punch sends her flying across the street to the roof a convenience store.
Shingles are broken off and fall from the roof as the Sheriff slowly gets back up.
Her pink eyes widen apone seeing Shelly flying in on Madame Fryer to continue the fight. The incoming blonde bomb leaps from her sentient sword
Doing a back handspring, pulling something out of her trench coat, the 2nd Generation tightens her core and spins upside-down.
From her hand, a spring loaded bo staff pops from the baton sized object.
The butt-end to the metal weapon covered in a golden pink SanguineSoulSeiõrShield, launches out and hits Shelly right under the chin, stopping her mid-air.
The skilled bo fighter then twists and prepares to bash Shelly on the side of the skull with the opposite end of her staff, but Madame Fryer perfectly blocks it and Katsu comes in, tackling their enemy.
The two roll off the roof to the abandoned store and down to the concrete.
Without a protective shield of magic, Katsu lands hard and writhes on the ground.
Jesse James gets to her feet and looks down on injured Katsu, but remembers...
Shelly has regained composure and is jumping from "the top rope", making her target lunge back, but swinging blindly behind her to block a swipe from Madame Fryer. She then blindly throws a roundhouse kick towards incoming Shelly who dodges it.
The majestic display of almost choreographed swinging and dodging between the three sentient fighters is truly captivating.
At certain points Shelly and Jesse James throw identical punches that connect, but it doesn’t cause a hiccup to the brawl.
The end of the bo staff pins Madame Fryer to the cement while the pink Sheriff leaves her feet, twirls around and kicks a blocking Shelly.
Jesse James then puts a foot on the pinned sword’s handle, bringing the metal staff up and colliding with Shelly’s tooth gripped, all black Seax. Shelly’s hands then grab the staff and the two are at a stalemate. With pinned down Madame Fryer unable to move, and Katsu still trying to catch his lost wind, the blue eyes of Shelly and pink eyes of Jesse James lock.
Jesse James: "This has been fun, but I guess it’s my time to disappear."
The two disengage with a leap backwards and from out of nowhere, Itsuka covered in her crystal purple SoulSeiõrShield comes in with a flying leg drop.
