Shattering Humanity-Chapter 358: Lunar Lit Love

Shelly(telepathy): "Katsu, do- do you love me?*
On his side of the wall, Katsu seemingly already knew she was as going to ask this random question, is not surprised nor fazed by her question.
Katsu(to himself): "I think this is it..."
There’s another short pause in the feed between them, so long of a moment in fact, this time Shelly is about to ask him if he’s still there but...
Katsu(telepathy): *Of course I do Shelly...
You’re the only one I truly have left in this world who I can completely trust to make me happy.
There’s nobody or anything I would trade for you.
You’re irreplaceable to me in every way, and I don’t want to live a second on this world without you.

Again, there is a pause.
On her side of the wall, Shelly’s Mach 1 SanguineSoulSeiõrShield has unintentionally risen to Mach 2, brightening up the room around her to reveal knocked out Laban and Princess Rebekah sharing a bed, asleep.
Itsuka is also asleep, alone in the only remaining bed in the converted hotel room and Shelly looks over at her, remembering the Big Sister’s words the night before the moment Katsu is referring to.
Itsuka’s Voice: "...all that should matter, is if both living organisms are happy together under the same roof at the end of the day.
If PipPip was my only friend until the day I died, I’d be content because it may be just a pet, but at least I wouldn’t be alone. And there’s a life that depends on me to make it’s life better."
Shelly(telepathy): *Thank you Katsu.
For everything since you took me into your home...*
Katsu(telepathy): *What do you mean? It was my parents decision to take you in that day.
All I did was try my hardest as a kid to fix you. It’s what anybody would do for the one’s they love.
Right?*
Shelly is blushing smiling while clenching her diary close to her chest.
She nods while speaking, even though her communication partner can’t see her doing so.
Shelly(telepathy): *Right....
Thank you for staying up with me to talk Katsu, I really thought I was going to lose you today.
I guess, when it comes down to it, you’re the reason I’m where I am today, Katsu.
Without you, I probably would have had to go to a mental institution or I would have died of malnutrition.
But because of you...
Because of your love, I’m still here to save Sanpaku and Takamagahara.

Shelly lands on her two feet, Madame Fryer by her side and her blue eyes staring at the defeated challenger once more.
She removes her weapon from her teeth and footsteps can be heard running towards her.
She turns around but not prepared for a surprise Katsu hug.
Katsu: "You did it again Shell!!! You won!!"
Shelly is blushing, and then buries her face in Katsu’s shoulder, but not for long until...
*SLASH*
The sounds of close by glass shattering and the growing rumbles of destruction can be sensed.
The same tall city building Shelly had almost got launched into, gets cut diagonally in half down the middle and the sliced half begins to fall.
Katsu and Shelly both look up at the affects from another destructive force.
However, Shelly grows a huuuge smile on her face.
Shelly: "Katsu... 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
It’s not over yet."

[Current Day]
{Over Outer Sanpaku]
The occultic SeiõrSnow continues to fall around the entire world.
Grazing the available lands, are a few deer who have adapted to the new, silent, less human hunter world, and eating the half dead grass growing between the sidewalk cracks.
A few yards away is the shattered and scattered remains to the top of the slashed building only a few blocks from the entrance to Inner Sanpaku.
An owl perches on an unlit lamppost and softly releases a *WHOOO* into the calm, echoless city.
A "fireball" zips through the sky, but at a closer look, it’s Shelly riding Madame Fryer, while hanging on to Katsu’s grip below.
The two humans and sentient Old Norse sword ascend higher and higher until Katsu points towards the slashed in half building.
Katsu: "Shelly, let’s go over there!"
She nods and they all fly closer to the pre-apocalyptic business skyscaper.
A few perched crows caw, then fly away from the perfectly cut glass once the flaming sword and humans get close enough.
Shelly and Katsu release their grip of each other and the Izanagi captain’s sneakers crunch over broken glass, on a carpeted office floor.
He looks around and the dark, empty office only has one soft chair available.
Shelly hops off her flying weapon and her sneakers too, land with a crunch.
Madame Fryer stays out of her sheath, as a way to give a light source to the "children" she is watching over.
She looks down at the ground with concerned eyes, lifting up her foot.
Shelly: "Katsu, be careful, this place is dangerous.
Not only is there glass, but the structural integrity to this entire building could be compromised because of that giant slash made from Laban’s other sister."
Katsu walks over to an office chair and turns it over, banging it against the floor to get all of the glass off the cushions.
He rolls it over to the worried woman and offers her the seat.
Shelly takes a careful second look before softly placing her butt and back on the soft cushions.
Shelly: "Thank you Katsu, but where will you-..."
Answering her question before he can finish asking, Katsu rests his arms on the back of the large boss chair, and places his chin on top of Shelly’s head, making her blush bright red.
The two of them have a perfect view of the sparkling ocean underneath the beautifully lit moon.
Katsu: "You did awesome today Shelly.
From not only fighting that douchebag, then Laban’s sisters in that scrimmage,and you still had enough energy to be the Ace pitcher when I’ve been referring to you as the Ace of Takamagahara ever since it started.
I know I sound like a broken record, but you really are awesome Shelly."
Blushing Shelly is speechless until two tears drop in front of her face.
Confused, she looks up to see Katsu happy, smiling, but with tears in his eyes.
The unconditional tears of happiness from her purpose, brings tears to her own, that never fall out.
Katsu’s right hand grabs Shelly’s shoulder lightly.
Shelly: "Katsu?"
Katsu: "Please Shelly, I never want these nights to end for us. Please, always be a winner.
Don’t break our promise...
Don’t die...
I know I broke it but I-..."
Now cutting him off is the grasp of his arm and the cuddling of it from Shelly.
The dangerous but adorable young woman grabs his arm right and rubs her face in his bicep with closed eyes.
Shelly: "I promise, I will never lose to any of those damn DæMons.
Tomorrow, I will train as much as possible,so together we can defeat every last one of them that steps up to us, Katsu."
Believing this is the lunar lit love scene of her dreams, unknown to the woman most deserving of true love, Katsu has a devious smile while overlooking the gorgeous ocean view scenery.
Clearly thinking in his own mind, about the evil he will be able to reign with Shelly’s unwavering commitment to him.
Katsu: "Good.
That’s all I need to hear from you, Shell...
