Shattering Humanity-Chapter 151: The 333rd Hour: Jormungand’s Eye Ability
{Within the suburban boondocks of the Demon District. 10 a.m.}
Multiple groups of men are wearing hard hats and bright clothing. The sounds of hammers, saws, and men barking orders can be heard. They are all helping fix up lightly destroyed houses on the street. Some houses are finished and furniture is being moved into them.
Women with clipboards are also helping direct workers to where work is reportedly needed most.
Everyone’s attention quickly turns after hearing the growls of a stray smaller Iceman across the street. The alien rushes the small crowd of community workers but before the defenseless civilians can react in fear, an orange blur moves past the hostile and the Iceman falls to the ground, decapitated.
The red cloud of energy floats into the sky and the workers look at their savior, Dom.
He is covered in sun energy shared from Taylor’s eye ability and it fades shortly after. He gives an overconfident smile at the group of people across the street as he sheathes his one SunSword and his sniper attached to his back. In an over exaggerated attempt to play the hero, the current Gunner of Izanami Division strikes a pose.
Dom: "Don’t worry, fragile citizens! I’m here to help! The strong are meant to protect the weak!"
One of the bigger, muscular workers gets actually offended and yells across the street back at the young man.
Muscular Worker: "Who you callin’ ’fragile’ and ’weak’? I’ll fuck you up little man!"
A beautiful tanned skinned hand, also covered in the sun energy ability that mimics a SeiõrShield, taps the man on the shoulder and he turns around to see Itsuka. The physically built woman gives him a smile and a polite bow in apology.
Itsuka: "I apologize for my partner’s language and arrogance, Sir. I hope you can understand, he doesn’t get many wins, so he can get a little overzealous. I promise it won’t happen again."
The muscular worker looks back across the street at Dom who is now trying to force conversation with people who are trying to work.
Itsuka: "We’ll hang around here for a bit and cover the area, that way you all don’t have to worry about those monsters while rebuilding."
The man nods at the Vice-Captain of Izanami Division and goes on with his business.
Muscular Man: "Thanks lil lady." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Itsuka looks around at the scene of human capabilities, when they all cooperate together towards the same goal.
From behind her, a set of black sneakers along with four paws stop beside each other.
Saku: "Amazing, isn’t it?"
The sun energy surrounding Itsuka fades and she quickly turns around with an excited smile to see her love at first sight and his reliable pup.
Saku: "When we need to rebuild or work together to bring benefits for everyone, people are willing to help each other out, but let’s see if this will happen one year from now. Once everyone is back to being comfortable, they’ll be less willing to help others."
Itsuka(sighs): "Can’t you just be happy it’s working for now? We’ll worry about ’one year from now’, in one year. Let’s be happy for this opportunity to rebuild."
Across the street, Jormungand can be heard.
Jormy: "Is there anything I can do to help?!"
Saku and Itsuka look over at the youngest member, who is so willing to help others. A woman points him in a direction and he quickly rushes over towards where she pointed. The Captain and Vice Captain both smile at his enthusiasm.
Itsuka: "It’s been cute. Watching you actually act like a big brother for him this past month. Coaching him."
Saku: "Someone had to, his sister was just holding him back. I’m just excited to see his potential.So far, he would’ve been easily top of the academy in combat. I hope his ability isn’t a dud."
They watch as Jorm and Dom run with an over abundance of planks in their arms and Dom trips.
Itsuka smiles at the scene but then goes to a worried look watching Jormungand place his armful down in front of workers.
Itsuka: "I just hope if it is a dud, you don’t treat him any different."
Saku gets irritated and turns his head to snap back at the remark but EyeEngages with the beautiful gaze staring back at him already. She talks before he does.
Itsuka: "Because I know that’s not the man I fell in love with."
Saku blushes and they disengage.
TayTay walks up to them, eating a foot long sandwich but after a month, he has lost at least 20 pounds of weight and is looking more built.
Sol is sitting on his shoulder. She jumps down and lands in front of Saku. The sun eyed young woman is wearing a black sweatshirt, "Sol 99" on the back, black sweatpants and black high top sneakers.
Sol: "The daily territory sweep is completed a whole hour and a half early. We still have two hours until we are all planned to go to Roronora City."
She looks at her division captain.
Sol: "Can you open a portal for me back to Sanpaku so I can use the bathroom?"
Saku raises an eyebrow.
Sol(sighs): "Please, if you NEED to know, I have to change my tam-."
Saku: "Okay! Okay! I will...just...stop there...(side-eyes her up and down)...gross..."
Saku’s Left Anjell Eye pops off with a Yin aura and he looks at the side of a box truck. A portal quickly grows and on the other side, a woman’s bathroom can be seen.
Sol gives him a suspicious look.
Sol: "And why were you directly outside the girls room in Sanpaku?"
Saku blushes but gets angry.
Saku: "For specifically this! It’s not like I have to sit in one spot to be able to open a portal there.I walked down the right side hall to the woman’s bathroom, looked at the door, and walked back down the hall. Nothing else. You’re welcome by the way."
Sol hops through the portal and can be heard as it closes.
Sol: "Mhmmm, sure. Give me five, ’Cap’. Then you can reopen it. And...Thank you...I guess."
The portal completely closes and Saku continues keeping his Anjell Eye popped off.
Itsuka giggles after witnessing another example of Saku thinking of others in advance. Saku notices and blushes back.
Saku: "What?"
Itsuka: "Whenever people are nasty towards you, and you show them a sign of loyalty, I feel something inside of my heart that wishes everyone could be like you."
Saku gets extremely red and looks down at Friend. The dog sneezes and then scratches his ear with his hind leg.
Saku: "Be careful what you wish for."
There is a group of kids playing pass with a football in the front yard next to the Izanami leaders, while the parents are busy building. Saku and Itsuka watch the children while continuing their conversation.
Itsuka: "Your eye is still popped off by the way. I guess all our training has made it less taxing on your Seiõr tank."
Saku: "How’s your Seiõr control training? You, Shelly, and Sol are the only three who Zoram says are worth teaching advanced training techniques, even though Katsu and I are considered ’Seers’."
Without having to close her eyes and meditate, the SeiõrSnow within a 3ft radius around Itsuka begins to get attracted towards her and she begins absorbing it. A slight pure white SeiõrShield surrounding her.
Itsuka (giggles): "What, are you jealous?"
Saku closes his eyes and thinks about Friend, Itsuka, and Princess Kawaii.
The SeiõrSnow within a 3ft radius of Saku also begins to get absorbed by the human with the Absorption Anjell Eye of Wisdom.
Meanwhile, Jormy is looking at rubber tires...and his eye pops off for the first time.
Saku and Itsuka have matching strength ’SeiõrSnowShields’ and smile at each other but then Saku’s eye makes a distance *CLICK* like a key unlocking a door and a ’rubbery’ arm with a gloved hand flys between them and then retracts back in the direction it came. They follow the gloved hand back to Jorm across the street, his eye popped off and a huge smile on his face as he yells across to them.
Jorm: "Big Bro Saku! Big Sis Itsuka! I did it, I got my power!"
