Shattering Humanity-Chapter 148: Beans!?! Really?!?

{Tomodachi Town Research Center, 7 AM}

The Tomodachi Town Research Center, a basic science lab with a desk in the middle of the room. A personal computer, papers, open folders, and empty coffee cups are on the desk. Some on the floor next to the full trash.Notes and cliché equations are written on a whiteboard wall.

Aiden, Drakaina, and Zoram are already in the building. The Middle Eastern Völva, for some reason, has real cat ears poking from her black hair, as if from the effects of her Transmogrif-Eye. Even though her IceEye/Eyelien is in its base-kit.

The #1 smartest of Takamagahara is looking at the words ’PROTEIN’ and ’CARBOHYDRATES’ circled and he draws 3 arrows pointing outwards of the bubbled words. At the points of each arrow he writes one word. ’NUTS’, ’BEANS’, and ’FATS’.

Aiden: "So if what you say is true Mrs. Zoram, that means you can store-"

The door is heard opening, in struts the smiling Captain and Vice Captain of Izanagi Division.

Katsu, wearing his "Katsu 40" sweatshirt with an "Izanagi" patch stitched in the left sleeve and Shelly, wearing her "Shelly 40" student captain sweatshirt, a matching Izanagi stitched into the right sleeve. She also has her katana strapped to her back, a SunSword strapped to her left hip, and the golden sheath of Madame Fryer ’sticking’ to her right hip.

Katsu: "What’s up guys?! Heard you got some exciting news for us, Aiden!"

Shelly is holding a black sweatshirt and smiles once she sees Drakaina. Aiden gets an open mouth smile seeing his peers who believed in him and vouched for him after arriving at Sanpaku with Dom. He nods.

Aiden: "Since I don’t have an IceEye and I’m not a male ’Seer of Seiõr’, I’m unable to see the incredible source of energy other than the SeiõrSnow outside. Thankfully, Mrs. Zoram has been here to not only help Drakaina and I visualize the cosmic energy, but also give us miraculous information on the process of ’Storing Seiõr’."

Katsu (chuckles): "To be honest bro, I’m still amazed you ’sniffed out’ the existence of Seiõr before any of us even knew about it. Just before that whole fiasco with the HFF soldiers next to the beach, you basically showed Shelly how to absorb the SeiõrSnow. Not even invisible cosmic energy can hide from you, Aiden. I don’t know if I’ve told you this, but you’re a freakin genius!"

The bright smiling Shelly speed walks right towards the timid elder sister and Katsu glows seeing how excited his adopted sister is to give the newest member her sweatshirt. The Vice-Captain holds out the official Izanagi Division sweatshirt to a blushing Drakaina.

The biological sister to Jormungand, remembers how Jormy reacted to this meaningful sign of acceptance by the rest of Takamagahara. While taking the sweatshirt, tears fill her orange eyes and she smiles, unable to clearly see the "Drakaina 0" on the back, through the waves blurring her vision.

Shelly: "Congratulations Drakey, as of today, you’re part of Katsu’s Izanagi Division."

Drakaina: "T-Thank you for seeing value in me, Big Sis Shelly. I’ll try to not let either of you down. So far, all I’ve done is disappoint Captain Saku with the over protection of my little brother, so I hope I can meet your expectations."

Shelly puts her hands on her hips and gives the beautiful new member of Izanagi a look of disregard towards the feeble acceptance speech.

Shelly: "We’re the same age Drakey, you don’t need to call me ’Big Sis’, but I promise you, like any true ’Big Sis’ would, I’ll do my best to protect you and the rest of Izanagi, while Itsuka protects your brother and the rest of Izanami. Plus, just a tip, don’t listen to the ’Jackass’ of Takamagahara. He doesn’t know how to properly talk to people, and frankly, after a month of watching him, we all think he’s got a ’problem with social queues’. I’m sure you’re the perfect sister and Saku’s just being his grouchy, insensitive self."

Drakaina smiles at the thoughtfulness of her new Vice-Captain and begins putting on her new uniform.

Aiden: "There’s been so many ’discovered" forms of energy like sound, electrical, and wind, I figured the nonstop ’snow’ that wasn’t accumulating properly, had to be something other than just snow. However, those other forms of discovered energy have always been here, it just took human curiosity to acknowledge the existence of each respective ’invisible energy’.

Whereas certain visible forms of energy, like lightning, and SeiõrSnow, have been acknowledged by humans. Lightning and fire were even feared by early civilizations. Until humans contained those forms of energies, so they could be studied and explained. Now it seems, instead of humans simply needing to acknowledge the cosmic energy’s existence, from what Zoram has explained, Seiõr, must acknowledge the individual human’s existence as well to contain it, study it, and explain it."

Shelly, the #2 smartest of Takamagahara, approaches the #1 from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder, and looks at the simple web diagram he already drew up before her arrival.

Shelly: "Are you diagraming your lunch Aiden?"

Katsu: "Haha!"

Aiden blushes, creates distance between them, and scratches the back of his head.

Aiden: "N-No, Sh-Shelly um uhhh....uhmm..."

Drakaina talks for the genius.

Drakaina: "He was making a web diagram for the possible ways to store healing Seiõr. Since Madame Zoram revealed she can store the mystical energy into different ’containers’ with certain percentiles of macronutrients, Aiden was just about to explain his theory."

Katsu looks confused and his head tilts while imagining the Seiõr aura inside of a Tupperware container.

Katsu: "...’Containers’? ...’Macronutrients’?But I thought Big Bro said the Seiõr from the Icemen couldn’t be contained?"

Zoram(nods): "Well he’s half correct. The aura being released by the slain aliens, is not the same energy as Seiõr, therefore, even I cannot control it or absorb it. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the source of energy Leviathan is using to bring his ice monsters to life. However, it seems he is storing ’that other type of energy’ inside of the Icemen, in the same way healing Seiõr can be stored inside solid foods with macronutrients, like beans and nuts. Any small sources of proteins and carbohydrates really. The ability to bind Seiõr with the liquid macronutrient, water, is not possible."

Shelly takes another look at the whiteboard.

Shelly: "That makes sense, since water naturally doesn’t yield energy, but instead it yields within everything that exerts energy, even this planet."

The fan and liquid cooling system within Aiden’s personal computer on the desk turns on, and the noise draws everyone’s attention as the vital parts for the inorganic computer perform their installed function and purpose. Within 5 seconds, the noise stops, meaning the computer is no longer in danger of overheating.

Shelly: "And I’m guessing, it’s possible to store Seiõr in the fat cells within the body to make room for the actual ’tank’, right?"

Zoram (giggles): "Close. When you use your SeiõrShield, that is the sign the stored Seiõr has moved into the adipose cells of your body. That cosmic energy, protects your muscles while also giving them more strength and energy. The protective coating is leaving your body through your pores to protect your largest organ. You my dear Shelly, reincarnate of Skalmönd, were able to naturally absorb Seiõr from within the Initiation Arena. I expected nothing less from a warrior angel like yourself, with the blood of the greatest sword fighting Valkyrie."

Shelly: "You know about the woman Laban kept calling me?"

Zoram shakes her head.

Zoram: "Only from legends.Since I was brought straight to Jomsborg, I never got to meet her, but from the stories I’ve heard, Skalmönd along with her Völva partner, Iôunn, became the most accomplished tag team of Seiõr users. Even though they were never exiled, both were shunned from their respective clans and decided to live on their own. Well, until they met each other."

Katsu steps up, looking worried about the story details.

Katsu: "Wait, why were they both shunned?! If they became the most accomplished, they must’ve been really strong!"

Zoram: "You would be right there, Sir Katsu. The Valkyrie found enjoyment in fighting and proving they could overcome any army of men. But because Skalmönd used the weapons of a man, the sword, she was ridiculed. The Völva of the party, Iôunn, wasn’t shunned out loud by her ’sisters’, but the Northern users of the universe’s most powerful energy, were very jealous of the clearly massive difference in love given to the tanned skinned Völva, compared to their ’true Northern blood’.

Iôunn was known for being an illustrious user of ’PsychoSeiõr’, one of the most advanced and powerful forms of Seiõr when used correctly. It was a technique used to transport Skalmönd to her ’Mindscapes’, in which the Valkyrie would fight the most renowned of the Old Norse beings and Gods. After defeating the strongest ever thought of versions of her opponents, she ’saved’ the legendary blades from Ragnarök and brought them back to the real world."

Shelly looks at the sheathed Madame Fryer ’stuck’ to her right hip.

Zoram: "Luckily, you managed to get Madame Fryer back from Laban DaeMon. The spirit within that sword is actually the manifestation of all the accumulated mental Seiõr produced by those who believed in her existence throughout time."

Drakaina raises her hand.

Drakaina: "Um, see, that’s what I’m confused about. So are you saying that, even though Madame Fryer never actually existed in the universe, the ’thoughts and prayers’ of her believers, basically spoke her into existence?"

Zoram(nods): "Exactly so, my truest of Dragon Queens. The speaking of a God or Gods into existence has been the path of humans since the first man pointed at the all seeing eye in the sky and called it ’Mithra’. With Mithra’s power being so immense, humans couldn’t make eye contact with the powerful God. Mithra gave them light and warmth. The world was scary, cold, and dark when Mithra was gone. Wherever Mithra’s light touched, it helped grow food. With all those observable facts, physically seen by those early humans, who were ignorant of science and the forms of energy around them, personified the star our solar system revolves around. Once personified, it was only a matter of time before the praised source of light our side of the planet turns away from once every 24 hours, was given human morale ethics and used to try and convince strong, selfish savages, to make the lives of strangers easier, like Mithra does everyday.

When the early civilization was good in the all seeing eye of their God, the weather was warm and the crops were plentiful. However, when someone strayed from the ’Threefold Path’ the Sun punished them all for their ’bad’ deeds as a collective whole.Because of the Sun and the Moon, humans have spoken good and evil into existence. Gods and Devils...or DæMons."

Shelly: "So, you’re telling us, the most beloved fictional characters and religious deities, can be brought into existence from the power of human belief? And it’s possible with advanced Seiõr control, to go into one of those Mindscapes and fight the strongest version of those characters manifested by their most dedicated believers?"

She looks at Katsu.

Shelly: "Even the characters, heroes, and Gods of the most recently told stories?"

Zoram once again nods.

Zoram: "The extreme commitment and unmatched strength of Old Norse believers, towards their personified versions of nature, made that sword on your hip real. Anything humans have heavily believed in with their ’PsychoSeiõr’, eventually becomes ’reality’. It just takes a highly skilled Völva to put the Valkyrie in a Mindscape where the belief has actually manifested and located. After waking up from her said dream state, your Valkyrie Grandma would wake up with those ’fictional’ swords. It has been fabled that Skalmönd acquired the most legendary Norse swords and it’s said she was able to bring back Lævateinn from Hel. The most confusing weapon ever created, by the most confusing, yet cunning God ever believed in."

Aiden: "H-Hey! I’m sorry you two, but before we get too far off track, can we continue the Seiõr Storage discussion? Mrs. Zoram, is it possible for you to demonstrate Seiõr Storage within appropriate ’containers’?"

Zoram nods.

Zoram: "I presumed you would want proof Doctor, and since the Seiõr must ferment within its ’container’ for at least 15 days, I took the initiative and made our first batch ahead of time."

She walks over to the desk and reveals a heavy duty red and white lunch pail. She presses down the top button and folds down the top half. Inside, is a one gallon plastic bag full of kidney beans that are lightly pulsing light and another one gallon plastic bag full of cashews nuts, also barely pulsing light.

Aiden’s glasses fall off but Shelly catches the bifocals before they hit the floor. She puts them back on the intellectual and looks at Katsu who is star-eyed looking at the stash of beans and nuts.

Shelly giggles. Her photographic memory kicking in, making her remember one of the most famous of the heroes that Katsu would watch when they were kids.

Katsu: "Really!? Beans?!? Beans that specifically replenish our energy?!? That’s- That’s exactly like...!!!!"

Shelly(smiles and thinks): *Good thing Saku isn’t here to ruin his excitement.*

Shelly then takes a good look at the entirety of the two large bags full of kidney beans and cashews.

Shelly: "Zoram...H-How long does it take to insert Seiõr into one bean and one nut to sit and ferment?"

Zoram: "One hour each. There are 117 SeiõrBeans and 117 SeiõrNuts for a total of 334 energy replenishments. While all of you were all physically training and getting stronger, I wanted to make myself useful to the group that gave me another chance at happiness, and I prepared these. As an eye user, I know the feeling of using one’s eye ability for too long and the fatigue that it comes with. As well as how tiring it can be maintaining a SeiõrShield, nevermind maintaining it during combat. The Seiõr within just one single bean or nut should be enough to fully restore the tanks of everyone as of right now. Maybe two for you, Valkyrie Reincarnate. Heehee."

Shelly blushes and Katsu lets out an encouraging laugh.

Katsu: "Haha!"

Shelly looks at the top of Zoram’s head and finally notices the out of place cat ears. Then notices the Völva’s IceEye in its base-kit pattern. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Shelly: "Hey, Mrs. Zoram, why do you still have the effects of your eye ability still functioning, but your eye isn’t popped off? I mean you look really cute, don’t get me wrong, but I thought eye abilities didn’t work unless they were in 2nd Stage."

Zoram touches the soft furry ears attached to her own head and a sense of euphoria rushes over the Völva.

Zoram: "Well, for some reason, these eye symbiotes are acknowledged by Seiõr and they even use the cosmic energy to perform their abilities. Meaning, as someone who previously could see and control the same energy, I can slightly imitate the ability of my own symbiote. While Lady Scylia and I were alone, I showed her the new discovery. She then got incredibly red, got really close to my face and said I was the most adorable woman she ever laid eyes on. Then for a whole hour, we-..."

She blushes bright red and holds her head in her hands, smiling.

The rest of the room, caught off guard by the explanation of how she can accomplish the trick. As well as the somewhat ’TMI’ and a peek into her new life as one of Daisuki’s 5 wives.
