Shattering Humanity-Chapter 142: Katsu Vs. Saku Round II

Katsu: "Saku, don’t act like your dumbass would even believe me, if I told you why I’m going to enjoy beating your ass, every single day, until I kill you."

There is a sad silence within the press box of the former basketball arena, the only thing audible is the wind within the room being produced off the Seiõr that Katsu is emitting.

Two friends, who once found comfort in the presence of each other as kids, are now enemies.

Despite that fact, Saku gives a smile that signifies his personal victory. The Yin Vessel continues to keep the Yang aura being produced by his Absorption Eye of Wisdom.

Saku tilts his head down with a cocky smirk, still EyeEngaged with the approaching Katsu.

Saku: "No matter how much I look with Laban’s ability, I’m unable to understand why you hate me. Which means, it hasn’t happened yet. That can mean a few things, the most likely possibilities would be that you know how to time travel, you have a secret ability like Rebekah DaeMon, or you stored you-"

Katsu: "SHUT UP ALREADY!"

Saku closes his mouth and looks at the ’happy go lucky’ member of Takamagahara, the leader of Izanagi Division, an arm’s length away. They stand there for a couple seconds, staring at each other in silence.

Saku: "Well? You gunna lean in for a kiss? Or are you-"

A black Seiõr covered fist comes flying quicker than his Anjell Eye can process, but the symbiote makes Saku roll with the punch as it connects with his cheek.

The partial impact sends him flying into the wall he used to create the portal, cracking it.

Saku(thinking): *What the fuck was that?! The Seiõr I used outside was nothing compared to that power. That was more like a punch with the sun energy from Tay’s ability!*

Saku’s eyes are closed in pain, but as soon as he opens them, Katsu no longer using the Seiõr, is already ’hastily floating’ towards his opponent after one, lunging leap, across the room.

The Yin Anjell Eye focuses on the cocked back left fist of the incoming attack.

Saku steps forward and away from the wall, perfectly blocks Katsu’s thrown combos, and lands a couple punches of his own.

Left hook, right hook, then a left uppercut, followed by a side kick to Katsu’s right knee making him lower his torso at perfect spinning back fist level. The back fist lands, making Katsu’s vision blurry.

He attempts to attack back, swinging on one of the many Saku’s in his dazed vision, instead of picking a side to block.

However, after swerving the uncoordinated punch and connecting on a heavy overhead punch square to Katsu’s forehead, Saku stomps down on the planted foot of his opponent recoiling backwards.

The inability to use one of his legs to brace himself makes Katsu fall on his ass but as Saku goes to fall on top of him for the ground and pound, Katsu quickly jumps up to his feet from his back, hitting the unexpecting Saku with a drop kick to the chest in the process.

Saku goes flying across the room, gets the wind knocked out of him and he stumbles back, gasping at air as he staggers upright.

Katsu begins his counter attack, starting with a reverse mirroring of Saku’s previous combo.

Right hook, left hook, right uppercut. Katsu throws a faint left making Saku go to block but the Yang tosses a right elbow instead into Saku’s chest, followed by a left hook, up close gut shot.

While Saku is slightly hunched over, Katsu does an evasive "swim move" getting behind him. The same move Saku used to get by Shelly during their 1 on 1 playing football.

From behind, Katsu delivers two kidney punches to his opponent and Saku, in pain, rolls forward creating distance but Katsu quickly closes it.

Saku blocks the right side of his face but Katsu hits the right with a fist, then smacks the Yin Vessel on his now open right cheek.

Katsu gives the stunned Saku a "Big Boot, Sole Kick", sending him through the glass of the high level press box, falling to the seating below.

Saku pops off his Anjell Eye, a Yin aura, and a portal quickly opens on the open floor between two rows of seating. The hole opens just enough but Saku catches his wrist on the edge of the hole. A *CRACK* is heard and Saku knows his left hand is now broken.

From behind Katsu, on the cracked wall, Saku’s portal is opening and the free falling young man can be seen approaching the same upper deck room he’s falling from.

As Katsu looks down at the remaining audience members looking up at the commotion, the *CRACK*, followed by a *THUD* is heard behind him.

Katsu turns to see Saku, behind a brown leather luxury lounge chair, holding his broken wrist and hand. The portal closing. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

A couple of Saku’s fingers are painfully broken and bent.

Katsu goes after his rival who is ’on the ropes’ but Saku fights through the pain and smiles while forcing his broken hand into a fist.

He can be heard forcibly breaking his bones so his hand stays closed.

Saku’s Anjell Eye still popped off, appears by jumping over the top of the furniture and smiling at Katsu.

There is a *POP* behind Katsu, and the Yang Vessel already knows what Saku has done by the growls.

Katsu: "You actually thought that would work?"

Another *POP* is heard.

Katsu lets out a pulse from his superior eye, to knock out the Iceman that Saku had placed behind him as a distraction.

The ice alien falls to the floor with a *THUD* that blends with another *POP*.

Saku is now behind a matching leather couch to the leather love seat earlier. He slowly stands up, adjusting his sweatpants and shirt, then uses a jersey that was encased in a fallen glass frame, to wrap up his hand while staring at Katsu.

Katsu: "It’s looking like you’re about to go 0-2 against me, Saku.

Damn, you really fell off, didn’t you? Have you won a single fight since we became Squad 40? You ran away from people you’re supposed to protect, leaving them to the wolves, and now after I’ve already son’d you, I’m about to daughter you, right here and right now. Talk about a fall from grace."

After he’s done wrapping his hand in the mesh jersey, like a boxing glove, Saku holds up his fist and EyeEngages with his contemporary force.

Katsu smiles and holds his fists back up as well.

Katsu: "That’s right Saku, I’ve wanted to just box this whole time, so fuck these eyes!"

They disengage.

Katsu closes his left Anjell Eye and Saku does the same. Now the alien eyes can’t control either of their bodies to evade in coming attacks.

The two young fighters, entrusted with stopping Leviathan when the beast returns, begin approaching each other, squared up, with their blessed symbiotic eyes closed.

They both throw a right fist towards the left side of the other’s face, connecting but in sync, they aren’t phased and throw their lefts.

Saku’s broken hand, covered by a vintage basketball jersey, cross connects with Katsu’s left, perfectly, and they hold the shaking fist bump for 3 seconds, their HFF watches jiggle.

Then they break the connection and start throwing their fists without any attempts to block. They start trading hits, back and forth.

A small spill of blood falls to the floor.

Katsu’s nose is leaking blood and Saku’s lip is busted.

They are both breathing heavily and their punches no longer have half their original power to them.

Katsu delivers a left jab but Saku dodges it and his head slides up Katsu’s tricep, to his bicep, and headbutts the Yang Vessel in the mouth making him fall back.

Katsu gets angry and from the floor he looks up with his popped off Anjell Eye, a Yin aura and a black SeiõrShield begins to form around him.

Saku quickly lifts his shirt and with his right hand, pulls out Zoram’s gun from his waistband and points it at Katsu on the ground.

Katsu: "You ain’t got the fuckin balls, Saku."

As his SeiõrShield fades, he gets up and approaches Saku, slowly putting his popped off Anjell Eye up to the barrel of the handgun while looking in Saku’s identical green eye.

Katsu: "Do it Saku, you’d be doing me a fuckin favor! I’ll just have to do this shit all over again. With you being the unpredictable wild card that always changes everything!"

Katsu, stops emitting a SeiõrShield, still has his popped off Anjell Eye with a Yin aura. He is standing in front of the gun that Saku is holding.

Saku smiles with his popped off Anjell Eye and a Yang aura, finger on the trigger.

Katsu: "Do it, Saku. But just remember, Shelly won’t be too happy and we both can say you have a whore’s chance in Heaven to beat Shelly if she knows you killed me."

Saku keeps his smile on, not letting his ’happy aura’, the Yang aura, fade and he pulls back the hammer of the pistol.

Saku: "Damn Katsu, where did this side of you come from? If this version was around when we were kids, we would’ve never been picked on while together."

Katsu: "Hehe, who says I would’ve approached you as the lonely loser I was if I knew what I do now. Don’t try this ’talk it out’ bullshit, Saku. It never works out. So you either pull that trigger, or we’re going to continue scrapping, so hurry up and choose, Pussy!"

The new tenacity of his first ever friend makes Saku get a slight shiver down his back.

Saku: "Tsk, fine, I can defeat that bitch after she’s weak against Laban, and I can beat that stupid dragon myself with the appropriate eye abilities.

It’s a shame Katsu, we probably could’ve made our own young gang together and ran Hanabi City. We would’ve gotten a head start, like Laban, on this apocalypse

...

...

...Oh well."

Saku pulls the trigger and in slow motion, the hammer flies forward with a *CLICK* and Katsu doesn’t even flinch.

No bullet flies out the barrel, no loud bang, and no dead Katsu.

Saku pulls out the removed clip from his pocket and puts it back into the gun. Just in time for a misunderstanding with a freshly victorious Shelly entering from the broken door frame. The signs of a struggle around the room, and the click of a clip makes her grip her katana.

Shelly: "The fuck do you think you’re doing, you son of a bitch?!"

She is unable to see Katsu’s evil smirk, as he knows Saku is screwed.

Saku tosses the gun to the side on the couch.

Saku: "Hehe, welp, I guess this is when you guys 2v1 me and end up beating my ass. To tell you the truth, I do deserve it for what happened to Itsuka. I’ll take my ’licks’. I already planned on appropriately apologizing once I got back. But, if both of you want the smoke, then I’ll be happy to supply it."

Shelly closes the broken door but it doesn’t click closed, a crack is left open and the sounds of a one sided fight can be heard. With ’someone’ being thrown into furniture and on the floor to get stomped, but because of the results of three oppressed people being saved, the beating is worth it.

After a 5 minute beating, Saku is bloodied and bruised on the floor. His hair is out of the hairtie and he’s breathing heavy.

Katsu relaxes his Anjell Eye and walks towards the door. Shelly spits on Saku’s face while he’s on the floor.

Shelly: "Get up, we have people from the audience we’re taking back too, down on the court. Don’t make me wait."

She follows her Izanagi Captain out of the room. Saku smiles and gets up breathing heavily out of pain while he speaks.

Saku: "That’s it?...I thought... you were mad for Itsuka? You can’t rough me up... anymore than this?...And say ’Please’ first, ya bitch."

Katsu from the doorway keeps his back turned but Shelly turns around.

Katsu: "Itsuka is why we’re not beating your ass here all night, you selfish prick. She is patiently waiting at Sanpaku, with damages only you can cure..."

Shelly: "For whatever reason, I will never know."

Katsu: "...but you still decide to stall, wasting time. I want to get back home and eat after having my Anjell Eye popped off... for...so...lo-"

Shelly quickly turns back around and sees Katsu falling backwards from the doorway.

She attempts to lunge forward to catch him, but due to her using natural Seiõr in battle against Laban DaeMon, while the remaining energy was used beating Saku, her body finally gives out and she falls in sync with a passed out Katsu.

*POP*

Shelly falls on all fours and looks up, Katsu has disappeared and the completely drained, pitiful Shelly, begins having a panic attack with a vignetting vision.

Shelly: "Ka-!

...Katsu!?

Where...are-?"

$POP*

Shelly passes out, her head landing on the chest of an also passed out Katsu who was ’pasted’ on the floor underneath her with Silpheed’s ability.

While asleep, Katsu’s hand lands gently on a sleeping Shelly’s head, making her smile.

To anyone who knows her true feelings and also watched her incredible victory against a DaeMon, this is more than an appropriate trophy for the battle proven Valkyrie.
