Chapter 933: Chapter 933: Li Mo: How Much Do You Remember About the Car Accident?

"You’re quite the tough old lady, aren’t you?" Fu Shihan laughed. "Can’t you play dumb like my dad sometimes?"

Always insisting on getting to the bottom of things, even a casual remark catches her attention and she pursues it relentlessly.

Li Mo heard him call her an old lady, and her expression was a mix of amusement and annoyance.

Fu Shihan saw she was about to get angry, so he shut his mouth.

At the door, Su Wanxin stood like a child among a group of parents, awaiting a scolding.

She stood there stiffly, listening to every word they said.

When the question turned to her, her face grew even tenser.

Fu Shihan glanced at her, feeling sorry. But there was nothing he could do; some things he couldn’t hand-hold her through.

Back in Canada, she had said she wanted to talk to Li Mo once she returned.

Though he wanted to stay and hear what they talked about, it was clearly not realistic.

"You guys chat; I’m heading out."

Fu Shili sensibly spoke up, turning to face Su Wanxin who was leaning against the door, gesturing for her to move aside.

Su Wanxin shuffled over, Fu Shili left, followed closely by Fu Hongru, who looked at her expressionlessly before he walked out.

Being looked at like that made Su Wanxin’s heart leap into her throat.

When Fu Shihan also reached her and was about to leave, she frowned even more, feeling at a loss.

Fu Shihan raised a hand and flicked her forehead, speaking softly, "I’m going downstairs to find Lu Ci."

After he spoke, he pushed open the door and left, leaving only Su Wanxin and Li Mo in the room.

The room fell silent to a point that was almost eerie.

Su Wanxin gazed at the person in front of her, listening to her ask, "What do you want to tell me?"

Her mind hadn’t caught up, but the tears already spilled uncontrollably.

What did she want to say?

Whatever she said couldn’t bring back those legs.

Su Wanxin lowered her head and cried, Li Mo watched her for a while, then suddenly said softly, "Come here."

Su Wanxin stepped over to her, looking at the legs, thin and sickly from years of lack of movement, and her heart ached with tremors.

It was as if someone was stabbing her forcefully, one cut after another.

These legs couldn’t be healed by the Fu Family, so it was truly hopeless.

All efforts had been made, but it still ended up this way.

Su Wanxin opened her mouth, finally calling out, voice trembling, "Aunt Mo."

She spoke, choking back her tears, unable to remain composed. "I’m sorry."

She knelt down, leaning over Li Mo’s legs, overcome with regret: "I caused this."

"Who says so?" Li Mo touched her hair, speaking gently.

"Without me, you wouldn’t have gotten in the car."

"If that’s the case, you should blame Shihan. If he hadn’t upset you that day, we wouldn’t have gone out."

"It’s not his fault; I was immature, believing whatever people said." Su Wanxin shook her head vigorously, making Li Mo sigh heavily.

Fu Shihan wouldn’t be so shameless today if he hadn’t been spoiled by her like this.

Li Mo felt helpless, looking down at Su Wanxin and asking, "How much do you remember about that day?"

"I remember we went out... I was driving."

In the car, they talked; Li Mo comforted her, scolded Fu Shihan, talked about taking her shopping, taking her abroad to clear her mind.

Thinking back, it seemed all trivial. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Yet precisely these small matters supported her through several years abroad.

Sometimes she wondered, if Li Mo hadn’t been so kind to her, maybe things wouldn’t have reached this point.

She should’ve walked away alone; it wouldn’t have led to everyone’s suffering.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as she wished.
