Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth-Chapter 868: Let Everyone See How Well They Get Along!
Fu Shihan didn’t expect that the news he intentionally spread back then would be interpreted in such a way by others, and he couldn’t help feeling a bit annoyed.
Who said he was joking? He was serious, alright!
This group of idiots, why is there no one left beside him?
He’s been so obvious, clinging to Su Wanxin and making things difficult for her, yet they’re too blind to see?
The more Fu Shihan thought about it, the angrier he got. He felt he needed to find an opportunity to do something with Su Wanxin to let others see with their own eyes how good they were together!
Fu Shihan placed the ring box on the table, got himself something to eat, and sat on the sofa staring at the diamond ring in a daze after finishing his meal.
There was an indescribable feeling in his heart, somewhat itchy, and a bit nervous.
Even though he didn’t quite understand what he was nervous about, clearly she would agree, and they had known each other for so many years.
Still, inexplicably, he felt this way.
Fu Shihan reached for the phone and called Su Wanxin.
Su Wanxin was at home when she heard him ask, "Are you free?"
"Free for what?" Su Wanxin, wearing headphones, was typing on the keyboard doing data analysis, and asked back.
"Free to have a late-night snack with me?"
Su Wanxin paused her actions, "You’re back?!"
"Mm."
"When did you get back?"
"Today, just arrived. Should I come to you?"
"I’m at home, come over."
Fu Shihan hung up the phone, picked up the ring, and headed out.
The thought of meeting him and what she had to say made Su Wanxin inevitably feel a bit heavy.
Over half an hour later, Fu Shihan appeared outside her house. He rang the doorbell, and it was Chen Fei who opened the door.
Fu Shihan entered the house, and Su Yao, who was watching TV in the living room, looked at him with a slight surprise, "You’re back?"
"What else?" He was there, wasn’t he back, or was she hallucinating?
"Oh... in the study,"
Su Yao nodded, directly telling the location of Su Wanxin, then continued watching TV.
Fu Shihan slowly walked upstairs, knocked on the study door.
Su Wanxin’s voice came from inside, and he pushed the door open, leaning against the door frame, watching her.
Su Wanxin looked up at him. He seemed to have lost some weight in the few days they hadn’t seen each other.
But she understood, being so busy and tired, how could he not lose weight.
"Come in, are you standing there to be a Door God?" Su Wanxin said softly. After he entered and closed the door, she asked, "Is the company business all done?"
"Almost, what’s left can be handled when I’m back."
Fu Shihan walked behind her and looked at the content on the computer.
"Have you eaten?"
Su Wanxin looked up at him, and Fu Shihan shifted his gaze to her face, lifting her chin slightly. "If you haven’t eaten, are you planning to cook for me yourself?"
"Better not... I can treat you to eat out."
Su Wanxin was now very aware of her abilities when it came to cooking; she was suited to eating, not cooking.
"I ate a little at home, not hungry now. Came to talk to you about something."
"I also have something to talk to you about." Su Wanxin looked serious.
Fu Shihan thought she wanted to talk about the proposal and said, "Then I’ll go first."
"Sure." Su Wanxin nodded, assuming he wanted to discuss work-related matters. "Go ahead."
She stood up and went to sit on the sofa nearby, but as soon as she sat down, Fu Shihan pulled her up and sat her on his lap.
Fu Shihan held her there, the words on the tip of his tongue, yet not knowing how to start.
On the drive over, he had been thinking about this, but still hadn’t figured it out.
Su Wanxin saw his hesitant look and felt a bit worried. "What’s wrong? Is it serious?"
