Chapter 164: Chapter 165: His Command

Su Xingyu shook her head wearily, unwilling to speak.

What would be the point of saying it? Even Ouyang Yi couldn’t shake Lu Shifeng’s power and couldn’t help her.

Ouyang Yi wisely stopped asking and said to Ling Weilong, "Let’s go to my place."

Ling Weilong gave him a sidelong glance through the rearview mirror, "Your place? Do you know why Xingyu called me? It’s because she doesn’t trust a lecher like you!" With this bit of conscience, Ouyang Yi’s notorious reputation couldn’t let Xingyu walk right into the wolf’s den.

In the back seat, the man sitting next to Su Xingyu had a charming smile in his eyes, "If not my place, then yours? I have servants, fresh food, and hot water. What about your place? Have you tidied up?"

This line hit Ling Weilong’s sore spot.

His messy and shabby apartment really wasn’t suitable for a delicate young woman.

He hesitated for a moment and asked Su Xingyu, "Xingyu, why don’t we go to Ouyang Yi’s place? Rest assured, I’ll go with you, and he wouldn’t dare do anything to you."

This time, Ouyang Yi grinned, "I’m not someone who would take advantage of others!"

And why should he take in Ling Weilong anyway? It’s much better to have a beautiful woman around than to add a sloppy big man. However, for the lovely Xingyu... he would endure.

He turned his head and looked at her tenderly, "My house is big, and you can choose any guest room you like. If you’re afraid it’s unsafe, I’ll room with Ling Weilong and keep watch over each other. Xingyu, come to my place, I’ll call a servant to make some food for you." Having mingled with women over the years, Ouyang Yi knew well where their fragile defenses lay. Opening up a woman’s heart was much harder than getting her body, and with Su Xingyu, he wasn’t in a hurry; he would take it slow and build trust first.

His slightly hoarse voice captivated her, like a long-traveling wanderer seeing a flicker of warmth in the flames ahead on a cold night. Even if it was a mirage, she was willing to drown in that illusory dream.

"Okay." She said softly.

The car drove to his home under Ouyang Yi’s guidance. It was a small European-style architectural complex, with a castle-like structure and splendid, dazzling decorative lights, giving everything an extravagant and ostentatious setting. Two rows of servants in black uniforms and bow ties streamed out from the magnificent front door and stood lined up, bowing at 90 degrees, "Welcome home, young master!"

The neat voices were imposing.

Su Xingyu felt slightly dizzy. She hadn’t expected Ouyang Yi’s residence to be so... extravagant.

It’s not that she was inexperienced. In fact, her impression of top luxury homes was almost entirely from Lu Shifeng. That man didn’t like a luxurious life, even though he was the heir to such a big group, he lived humbly in an extremely simple villa. Even when they went back to his ancestral home together, it was no more than a centuries-old building with white walls and black tiles, showing no particular grandeur.

But Ouyang Yi was different. His castle nearly screamed to the world — I’m rich, very rich, very rich.

"Do you like it here?" Ouyang Yi asked proudly as he led them into the main hall, showing off.

"Tsk, showy upstart." Ling Weilong looked around jealously.

Ouyang Yi returned his glance with a tolerant expression as if saying, "As a young master of the Feiying Steinway Family, I won’t stoop to your level, a foolish common man." He eagerly said to Su Xingyu, "There are several types of guest rooms, ones with gardens, ones with hot springs, ones with terraces... which one do you like? Just pick one."

Su Xingyu was exhausted and had no such leisure; she randomly chose a room.

The maid helped her tidy up, opened her bed, and brought snacks and milk, serving her supper and settling her in.

That was a deep sleep until morning; she slept dreamlessly and well.

When she woke up, she was startled, her blood nearly reversing flow — she saw a man sitting quietly by the bed, smoking a cigarette. The wisps of smoke disbursed from his fingers into the air, his eyes fixed on her through the haze.

Su Xingyu’s face turned white, Lu Shifeng!

How could he be here?!

Wasn’t this Ouyang Yi’s home?

Seeing her awake, he casually put out the cigarette, his voice low, "Come back with me."

She propped herself up against the headboard with her elbow, shaking her head in panic, "I won’t." The snippets of last night flooded back into her mind, accompanied by grievances and anger, and... fear. She must have lost her head last night, having given him a hard slap, she guessed he had never been offended like that, what kind of revenge would he take?

Just the thought made her body tremble uncontrollably.

Lu Shifeng looked at her with an inscrutable expression, saying nothing.

Yet she felt the mounting pressure from his silent gaze, enough to crush her.

"I... I won’t go back," she said shakily, "Lu Shifeng, I don’t want to go back to be bullied by you, where you... treat me however you want." As she spoke, her nose tingled, almost bringing her to tears.

Lu Shifeng’s expression didn’t change even slightly, still looking at her with shadowy eyes.

Her body began to tremble, her limbs stiff and immobile. In the eerie standoff, she quickly broke down, "Lu Shifeng... please... let me go, okay? I... I really don’t know how to get along with you, I can’t handle it anymore, I really can’t, what can I do so you won’t torment me?"

As she spoke, there was a tears in her voice, her nose slightly red.

The icy look in his eyes seemed to have minuscule cracks, but he didn’t let her see it.

"Don’t know how to get along with me?" he asked.

She shook her head, her voice tinged with sobs, "Can’t I make you a cake? Even after you, you bullied me like that, I still painstakingly baked a cake for you! I wanted to make up with you, I thought I could just endure it and get through it," her tears finally fell freely, large and round, "But even that was useless, you still, you still..."

He had still forcibly pinned her behind the banquet hall’s curtains, trying to rape her despite her terror! She truly had no idea how to avoid angering him, as if any inadvertent word or action could ignite his explosive temper.

She sobbed, crying like a scared little rabbit.

He broodingly watched her for a while, "When you first married in, I already said you must not defy me. Isn’t getting along with me very simple? Do as I say."

Her body started shaking again, yes, very simple, so simple for him.

But for her? It was hell on earth.

Lu Shifeng asked her, "Didn’t you understand my orders?"

She flinched, shaking her head. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

He asked again, "Is it hard to do?"
