Chapter 39 -: 39 Convincing Shinobu

King and Shinobu stood in silence as the winds of Wano brushed past them. King had laid his plan bare, and the kunoichi, though conflicted, had agreed to assist him. But as the conversation settled, King realized there was more to his relationship with Shinobu than just a shared goal.

During the couple weeks that his plan against Kaidou had taken root, King had become more involved in the day-to-day lives of the Kozuki loyalists. He had trained Tama, helped coordinate resource stockpiling and recruiting kozuki loyalists into the beast pirates as his subordinates. Eventually he had come to understand the people of Wano on a deeper level.

Shinobu had been by his side through much of it, and he had come to respect her as a warrior—her resolve, her strength, and her cunning. But there was something else that drew him to her, something that he couldn't quite place (lets stop kidding he remembers what she slooks like after she looses wight).

As King stood on the cliffside, he glanced at Shinobu, who remained deep in thought, her brow furrowed. Despite her often playful and light-hearted demeanor, there was a solemnity about her now. King saw in her the weight of the years, the loss of allies, and the burden of fighting an unwinnable war. Yet she carried herself with such fortitude, even in the face of impossible odds.

"Thank you for trusting me," King said, breaking the silence. His voice, usually gruff, softened. "I know this isn't an easy decision."

Shinobu sighed and turned to face him, her eyes meeting his. "It's not just about trust, King. This plan of yours—it's a lot to take in. I've spent my life fighting for Wano, trying to protect what little we have left. And now, you're asking me to help bring an extinct race back to life. It's... overwhelming."

King stepped closer, his towering frame casting a shadow over her. He lowered his voice, careful not to come across as intimidating. "I know it's a heavy burden. But I believe in you, Shinobu. I wouldn't have come to you if I didn't think you could handle it."

Shinobu looked away, her lips forming a slight frown. "You always know the right thing to say, don't you?" She shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "But you don't need to flatter me. I'm a mature and seductive woman, not some naive girl who'll fall for pretty words."

King's golden eyes sparkled with amusement. "Flattery isn't really my style. I'm just being honest."

She crossed her arms, clearly trying to remain composed, but there was a flicker of something in her expression—perhaps a hint of curiosity or intrigue.

"I've been watching you, Shinobu," King continued, his voice dropping to a lower tone. "You're a remarkable woman. Strong, intelligent, capable. You've dedicated your life to this fight, and you've never once wavered. That's something I respect more than you know."

Shinobu's cheeks flushed slightly at the compliment, though she quickly masked her reaction with a smirk. "You're not the first man to compliment my skills, you know. But I appreciate it, coming from someone like you."

King's gaze lingered on her for a moment longer, his eyes softening. He reached out, gently brushing a stray strand of hair from her face, his fingers lingering just a moment too long. "It's more than just your skills. There's a fire in you that I haven't seen in many people. You're someone who fights not just because it's your duty, but because you care deeply about those around you."

Shinobu's breath hitched at his touch, and she found herself momentarily at a loss for words. She hadn't expected this side of King—this gentle, almost tender approach. She had known him as a fierce warrior, a ruthless commander of the Beast Pirates, but here, he was something different. Vulnerable, perhaps even sincere.

"King..." Shinobu began, her voice wavering slightly. She quickly composed herself, clearing her throat. "This isn't the time for distractions. We have a mission, and we need to stay focused."

King withdrew his hand, but his gaze never left hers. "Of course. But don't think I've forgotten about our mission. I know what's at stake. But that doesn't mean we can't have... other goals along the way."

Shinobu raised an eyebrow, her smirk returning. "Other goals, huh? And what exactly do you mean by that?"

King chuckled softly, his wings shifting behind him. "Let's just say, I'm a man who knows how to appreciate strength when I see it. And I'd like to get to know you better, Shinobu. Beyond just the battlefield."

She laughed, a light, melodic sound that echoed across the Cliffside. "You're something else, King. I'll give you that." But as her laughter faded, her expression became more thoughtful. "But I can't afford to be distracted. Not now. Not with everything we're fighting for."

King nodded, understanding her hesitation. "I get it. We've both got a lot on our shoulders. But we're not just soldiers. We're people. And sometimes, people need more than just a mission to keep going."

Shinobu bit her lip, considering his words. There was truth in what he said. The years of fighting had worn her down, and she had sacrificed so much of herself for the cause. But in King's eyes, she saw a possibility—something more than just the endless struggle for survival.

"I'll think about it," she said finally, her tone softer than before.

King smiled, a rare sight. "That's all I ask."

Virus Stage 1 Complete

Weeks passed, and Queen threw himself into the project with maniacal fervor. His lab became a fortress of secrecy, with only King and a select few having access to the inner sanctum where the virus was being developed. The Beast Pirates whispered rumors about what was happening inside, but none dared to pry too deeply.

Queen's twisted genius began to take shape in the form of a series of experiments. He started with basic viral structures, using the bloodline factor that King had provided—a sample of Lunarian blood, ancient and powerful. Queen's machines hummed and buzzed as he manipulated the genetic material, crafting a virus that could alter DNA with terrifying precision.

He tested the virus on various animals first, watching as the infected creatures began to exhibit Lunarian traits—black wings sprouting from their backs, flames igniting from their bodies. The transformations were unstable at first, leading to grotesque mutations or the death of the virus' host. But Queen, ever the perfectionist, adjusted the virus, refining it until the transformations were smooth and complete.

Finally, the day came when Queen was ready to test the virus on a human subject. He presented King with a vial containing a glowing, crimson liquid—the perfected virus. It was ready to be used.

"Here it is," Queen said with a twisted smile, handing the vial to King. "This is the culmination of all my hard work! This little beauty will make sure your Lunarian bloodline never dies out. But remember, once you use it, there's no going back. Every child born from you will carry your full bloodline, no matter who the mother is."

King took the vial, his expression as cold and determined as ever. "Good," he said simply. He turned to leave the lab, his wings spreading slightly as the flames behind him flared.

"King," Queen called after him, his tone uncharacteristically serious. "Just be careful. This virus—it's more dangerous than you realize. If it gets out of control..."

King didn't respond. He already knew the risks. But he was willing to take them. It was for the Lunarians, for his people and for the future.

As King left the lab, the vial of Pure white liquid clutched in his hand, he couldn't help but feel a strange sense of anticipation. The world was about to change. The Lunarians would rise again, and he could finally complete his mission!

Days had passed since Queen handed over the perfected virus to King. Alber King was ready for his next move. His primary goal remained clear: Facilitate the birth of more Lunarians so that he could gain the scientific knowledge that would make him more than a muscle head or the next villain of the week

Over the next few days, King and Shinobu continued to work together closely, training Tama and coordinating plans for the rebellion. But there was always an underlying tension between them—a tension that grew with each passing day.

One evening, after a particularly grueling training session with Tama, King approached Shinobu once more, this time with something different in mind.

"I've been working on something," King said, his voice low as they stood by the campfire. "Something that could help you."

Shinobu frowned, unsure of what he meant. "Help me? How?"

King reached into his cloak and pulled out a small vial filled with a glowing, green liquid. "It's a virus. One that I've developed with some of the resources I've gathered over the years. It's designed to enhance physical strength, speed up metabolism, and... well, it can do something else, too."

Shinobu eyed the vial warily. "And what's the catch?"

King's expression remained calm. "The virus removes excess body fat while strengthening your body. It's not just cosmetic—it's about making you stronger, more resilient. It's a gift, Shinobu. Something to help you in the battles to come."

She stared at the vial, conflicted. The idea of altering her body in such a way was... unsettling. But at the same time, she couldn't deny the allure of becoming even stronger—of being able to fight alongside her comrades without the limitations she had always felt.

"And you're just... giving this to me?" she asked, her tone skeptical.

King shrugged. "Think of it as an advanced payment for what I promised to give in the future. I want to see you at your full potential, Shinobu. Plus you are one of the only persons that it will truly benefit..."

"Nani are you calling me fat! Am I the only fat person in Wano!?" she retorted. "I could always give it to Orochi instead" said king mildly.

"I'm joking, joking obviously you were thinking of me when you created this potion king sama" she replied changing her tune instantly.

"Hahaha, I know I know take it".

Shinobu hesitated, but after a moment, she reached out and took the vial from his hand. "I'll think about it."

King smiled, satisfied. "That's all I ask."

Shinobu decided to take the potion and dramatically lost all her fat overnight with no excess skin. Over the following weeks she found herself growing closer to King, despite her initial reservations. The virus he had given her had additional effects, she could feel her body growing stronger, and more powerful. She now had her her 29 year old looks. Shinobu had been reborn as a young slim beautiful woman.

Having her youth and beauty restored again was almost like a miracle to shinobu. She was the ninja but King had done ninjutsu that was simply unbelievable, and she admired him all the more for it. But it wasn't just the physical transformation that drew her closer to King. It was the way he made her feel.

King had a way of making her feel seen, appreciated. He didn't just view her as a tool in his plans—he saw her as a person, as a woman. And that was something Shinobu hadn't felt in a long time, despite the fact that she pretended to be the same seductive kunoichi that she was in her youth.

One evening, as they sat by the fire after another long day of training, King leaned in close, his voice low and intimate. "You're incredible, Shinobu. I've never met anyone like you."

She blushed, her heart racing. "You're not so bad yourself king, amazing doesn't even begin to describe you."

He smiled, his golden eyes locking onto hers. "I mean it. You've been through so much, and yet you're still standing. Still fighting. That kind of strength—it's rare." (Albert knew that if he was in a similar situation he would have likely given up hope, rather than wait twenty years for a savior)

Shinobu looked away, flustered by his words. "You're laying it on pretty thick, you know."

King chuckled softly, his hand reaching out to gently caress her cheek. "I'm just telling the truth."

Shinobu's breath hitched at his touch, her mind racing. She had always been cautious, always kept her guard up. But with King, she felt something different—something she hadn't expected.

Before she could stop herself, she leaned in closer, her lips brushing against his. The kiss was soft at first, tentative, but it quickly deepened, fueled by the tension that had been building between them for weeks.

When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathless, their eyes locked on each other.

"Looks like you've got me all figured out," Shinobu said with a smirk.

King grinned, his hand still resting on her cheek. "Not yet. But I'm getting there."

And in that moment, as they sat by the fire, the weight of the world seemed to fade away, if only for a little while.

Finally King felt as if he'd broken through a boundary and had finally gotten shinobu in his web. Now that he had gotten her comfortable with the idea of him being a man with multiple women in order to repopulate his race, it was basically set in stone. As he got closer and closer to her and she fell for him, she would be his first harem member and the arbiter of his will.
