Chapter 924: Chapter 477: Wangwu Mountain (2)

Unfortunately, success or failure defines a hero. In the end, Tian Gang was a move behind and fell at the hands of Zheng Shanyin, thus failing to achieve his goal. He went from being the head of the Mystic Sect who single-handedly destroyed the Divine Sect to a shameless cripple in the Sword Pavilion, essentially serving himself up to be humiliated, while ironically contributing to the other’s achievements, squandering his own luck in the process, leaving him with no choice but to hide in a house, isolated, which was quite embarrassing.

But Lingxu was obviously much more insidious. He didn’t have that Sword Sect Leader’s tendency towards romantic heroism, one man taking on an entire family. Even to fight a cripple, he would use Tie Dan to make the first move, gathering a bunch of old Mystic Sect members as strong support. He planned meticulously and designed escape routes before making a move, giving no chance for a comeback.

So now, in dealing with a more powerful Divine Sect, Lingxu naturally put in even more effort, settling internal conflicts before external ones, unifying the nine major sects before planning any group actions.

And to unify the Mystic Sect, the easiest way, of course, was to find a common enemy for everyone, one easier to handle than the Divine Sect, which could be used for practice but also yield certain gains.

Once it was the Immortal Palace, now it might be Qingtang Sect’s turn...

With a flash in his eyes, a divine light shone, and the secret records about the Divine Sect were incorporated into the Sect Leader’s Secret Record using Divine Sense. After a few days of seclusion to recover his Qi Power, Tie Dan stepped out of the Sword Pavilion and summoned the Burning Clouds Baqui Giant Watchtower before him to give orders.

"The Mystic Sect is about to engage in a major battle, and I want to bring the Giant Watchtower out of the mountain..."

The Giant Watchtower expressed its excitement by jumping and spinning like a big fan, with fierce Sword Wind and overwhelming killing intent, scaring the Burning Clouds Baqui into going weak in the knees and collapsing to the ground.

Tie Dan grabbed the Giant Watchtower, binding it to his back with Qi, and addressed the two Divinity Transformation monsters,

"I plan to seal Nine Yin Mountain; will you assist me in reviving the sect from within the mountain or outside?"

Burning Clouds Baqui exchanged a glance and bowed together,

"Thank you, Master, for taking us in. We humbly wish to stay in the mountain and guard the gate."

"Thank you for the Sect Leader’s protection. I wish to seek Enlightenment outside."

These two were not fools and clearly understood Tie Dan’s implication.

If they stayed in the mountain, they would effectively be joining as Sect members under Tie Dan’s tutelage. However, they would only be treated as Divine Beasts of the Sword Sect or Outer Door Tribute. If they remained outside, they could try to cultivate the Nine Luminaries Divine Sword True Scripture, inscribed by Tie Dan on the cliff walls of Nine Yin Mountain. When successful, they could break into the Sword Array, climb the Nine Peaks, enter the Inner Sect, and become True Disciples of the nine major sects and the Beichen Sword Sect.

Ling Baqui was more content with the idea, having faced countless trials and tribulations over the years. As an old pig, he’d long since lost the will to fight, only wanting a peaceful place like a Spiritual Mountain to enjoy his later years.

Burning Clouds still wanted to fight, after all, whether cultivating Immortal Law or Divine Skill, relying on fate or luck, he was one who sought to reverse fate through cultivation. A Divinity Transformation Monster, he had once established his rule overseas, only to be defeated and humiliated upon coming to Central Earth. Burning Clouds did have his pride!

They are all cultivators! Why not match others! I, too, can become a Mystic Sect member!

Tie Dan allowed them to choose and nodded, 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"In that case, Baqui, you shall reside on Kaiyang Peak for now, keeping an eye on the cave seal at the foot of the mountain. If the Sealing Demon Array shows any signs of breaking, send an urgent message immediately.

Burning Clouds, you may head down the mountain to try your luck. Once you enter the Mountain Gate, many things await you. Even if you meet your end, take this Jade Cicada to assist with your reincarnation."

"Obeying the Sect Leader’s decree."*2

Tie Dan initially thought to add some more instructions, but after reconsideration, he realized it wasn’t necessary.

Whether it was Burning Clouds Baqui or Jianjia Shen Family, if they couldn’t attain the Dao, they would eventually just become dust, temporary fellow travelers at best.

Even with his assistance, no matter how arduous the journey to immortality, granting them endless lifespan to shine with the universe,

They might still fall short at the critical moment, their souls devoured by the Heavenly Demon, ending with obliteration and destruction of their path.

He must first find a way to survive.

Only he, Xuantian, could find the path to survival for everyone.

With the Mountain Gate matters settled, Tie Dan activated the array to seal the mountain, Sword Rainbow soaring, without looking back, heading swiftly toward Qianzhou.

Having finally joined Tie Dan’s adventure, the Giant Watchtower was extremely excited, it was excessively enthusiastic, so much so that whenever Divine Sense detected a dog by the roadside, it would signal to Tie Dan, ’Sect Leader, Sect Leader! Go chop it!’ which Tie Dan found rather annoying.

However, one couldn’t really blame the Giant Watchtower, as it was, after all, a sword. A sword that does not kill, why is it forged? Moreover, it hadn’t been properly forged yet. Initially, Tie Dan had only used killing energy to temper it, giving it a Sword Spirit, but he didn’t possess the necessary artifact refining skills or sword casting materials to sharpen it. It was presently nothing more than an iron slab, albeit a menacing, murderous one.

As Tie Dan’s Sword Rainbow flew over the various Mystic Sect mountain peaks throughout Qianzhou, the overwhelming killing energy was hard to conceal, disturbing a large group of old Mystic Sect members, who were resting in their caves. This elicited numerous Divine Sense probes, likely suspecting an enemy invasion...

But Tie Dan was thick-skinned, knowing that unless the Mystic Sect confirmed clarity, they wouldn’t take action, so he swept through like it was uninhabited, carrying an overwhelming killing intent, his Sword Rainbow flying through the sky, crossing Qianzhou straight to Wangwu, where he submitted his request to pay a visit.

Speaking of which, Wangwu Mountain has just recently emerged as a powerful force, with a rapid growth trajectory. Not only does it house the powerful Qingtang Sect with its rich resources and connections, but numerous prominent Dao Sects offshoots and secluded Immortals from ancient Daoist heritages provided support.

Additionally, ever since the Stone Dragon wreaked havoc across Hebei, many Gate Valve families from Hebei who secluded themselves to escape combat could no longer hide, forced to relocate and gather to protect themselves. This bolstered Wangwu Mountain’s swift development.

Truly an assembly of True Immortals, countless Loose Cultivators, a mix of Immortals and Mortals, with Cultivation families from Genzhou congregating at the mountain’s base, forming a metropolis-like cultivator group, bringing in vast wealth and resources, engaging in trade and alliances with the Mountain Men, securing marriages and forming discipleships, in turn attracting more cultivators and Gate Valves to Hebei for development.

A glance showed grandeur and grandeur, bustling prosperously, surpassing even Qianyang, unexpectedly exhibiting the air of the Three Constellations.

Tie Dan, witnessing such a scene, had a slight quickening in his heart, suddenly comprehending.

Lingxu was gathering the Mystic Sect’s power to create his Cloud Platform Peak; how could he tolerate northern cultivators setting up their mountain stronghold? Moreover, forces that once so closely aligned with Tian Gang?

This deliberate setup probably was to pressure Qingtang openly while covertly targeting Wangwu Mountain’s crowd.

Oh well, it all boils down to squabbling over power and positions. Enlightenment is key, after delivering this... huh?

Suddenly, Tie Dan felt a stirring, drawn by fate, scanning with Divine Sense to find some mortals fighting below. Descending with his cloud, looking downward, he saw in the city-affiliated commercial courtyard, some gang-like thugs were looting and smashing.

Amongst them were many with bodies forged by Divine Gang Pills. Probably not plain bandits but private soldiers, clearly Gate Valve’s dogs given their luxurious attire and fine swords. The shop’s attendants couldn’t fend them off, already beaten outside, leaving only the owner clinging to a pillar, refusing to let go, surrounded and beaten.

With a hand squeeze, calculation in mind, Tie Dan assessed which Gate Valve targeted this shop for seizure and bullying, likely with backing from the mountain.

Initially, Tie Dan wasn’t inclined to meddle in the mortal world, but with an inherently cautious nature, his eyes flashed and glanced towards the owner...

This glance sent a shiver through Tie Dan as his Sword Rainbow looped into a meteor swooping towards the city courtyard! Tossing the Giant Watchtower down!

"Swoosh!"

Instantly, Sword Wind and Blood Burst! Raging across! Unstoppable killing energy, raging Sword Gang, violent and fierce!

The Giant Watchtower Sword appeared for just a moment, its fierce Sword Wind blowing apart the courtyard’s hundred private soldiers, shredding them into pieces, spray of blood blooming, slaughtered instantly!

While Tie Dan tunneled, protecting the core, ignoring the blood and flesh splattered all over, he grabbed the young man beaten into a pig’s head on the ground, exclaiming with laughter while holding his hand!

"Tang Tong! You rascal! You’re still alive!"

Tang Tong spat blood, "...Died, died, pull again and I’m really gonna die..."
