Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 923: Little Sutton, Baby
What is Watt discontented about? Probably only he knows deep inside.
Watt’s expression was unpleasant; even with a mask, it was glaringly obvious.
Alexander didn’t even glance in his direction; as soon as the dishes were served, he was busy helping Summer Sutton with her food.
He got along quite well with Summer, though they hadn’t known each other for long yet it felt like they were old friends with nothing left unsaid. Sitting together, they looked as harmonious as could be.
Less than half an hour into their conversation, Alexander’s way of addressing Summer Sutton shifted from the formal "Miss Sutton" to the more familiar "Little Sutton."
Little Sutton?
Watt slowly filtered his words in his mind, feeling increasingly annoyed.
He had never called her that; where did Alexander get the courage to do so?
Sitting next to Watt, Alexander could even feel the piercing gaze aimed at him, despite having his back turned.
Alexander paid no heed, continuing his chat with Summer, consistently using "Little Sutton" as a nickname.
Calling Summer Little Sutton made Watt’s face look even more displeased.
What surprised him even more was when Alexander and Summer chatted for a while longer. The familiarity grew so quickly that after about forty minutes, he began calling Summer "darling."
Once that term came out, the entire restaurant’s temperature seemed to drop suddenly.
Summer felt a chill down her back, as if facing an air conditioner.
The atmospheric pressure at her table felt low, stifling her to the point of breathlessness.
Watt’s sharp gaze swept over the pair, the chilliness in his eyes sending shivers down Summer’s spine.
Since sitting down, Alexander hadn’t looked at him even once, absorbed only in chatting with Summer.
"Darling, you work in program production? Why didn’t you mention it earlier? And to think it’s for Royal Delight, you’re truly outstanding for someone so young," Alexander seemed to admire Summer greatly, praising her countless times during the meal.
He picked up a slice of beef intending to place it in his own bowl, but noticing Summer’s bowl empty, he swiftly turned and placed it in hers.
Just as his hand stretched out, before the meat was set down, he was suddenly kicked hard under the table.
The force was immense, seemingly meant to cripple him.
Without looking, Alexander knew who it was. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
No one but Watt would harbor such intense anger toward him.
Feeling pained, Alexander’s facial expression turned a bit aggrieved as he rubbed his sore leg, unable to comprehend Watt’s behavior.
Was it not enough for him to maintain a cold demeanor around her; did he really stop others from being kind?
What baffled him even more was the fact that Watt’s leg was injured!
For someone who struggled to walk, where did he muster such strength to kick him?
"Are you okay? What’s wrong?" Summer asked with concern when she noticed his off expression.
"It’s nothing, nothing." Alexander raised his face, waving dismissively at her.
Summer cast him a peculiar glance, slightly dubious.
However, she couldn’t discern anything unusual from his face.
"Eat, eat!" Alexander chuckled, urging her to continue eating.
Their lunchtime was resolved rather swiftly, the pair being the first to leave the table.
After departing from the table, while waiting for others, they got together to play mobile games.
They seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, their laughter unceasing.
Watt’s gaze flicked toward Summer’s direction, noticing the bright smile on her face, and found himself momentarily distracted.
As he fixated on Summer, Lily was fixated on him.
