Chapter 686: Chapter 686: Liking You for So Many Years

The middle-aged woman whom Summer Sutton had met twice before!

She came by car, but it seemed the car had some trouble. The driver got out, bent over, and was inspecting the car continuously.

The middle-aged woman also got out of the car, circling around it with a glance, "Old Chapman, what’s going on? Can it still run?"

"I don’t know yet, ma’am, we might have to spend some time here," the driver said, looking up.

The middle-aged woman seemed to be in a hurry to do something, anxiously watching the passing cars.

Summer Sutton’s car happened to pass by, and she couldn’t help but turn her head to glance in the direction of the middle-aged woman.

Staring at her blankly, Summer Sutton felt a slight shock.

Running into her in River City was completely unexpected for Summer Sutton.

Does she also have old acquaintances in River City?

The middle-aged woman’s gaze happened to drift over at this time.

Their eyes met in the air, and she seemed to pause for a moment too.

"What are you looking at?" Adrian Walyon’s voice came from beside her.

Summer Sutton came back to her senses, shaking her head, "Nothing, just looking around."

She smiled at him, and Summer Sutton started talking about food, "What do you want to eat later?"

"Anything is fine," Adrian Walyon said indifferently.

Summer Sutton wanted to visit the Sutton Family mansion, carefully considering, she suggested, "Let’s go home, I’ll cook for you!"

Adrian Walyon had been to the Sutton Family once with her, but they’d never stayed overnight there.

Summer Sutton’s suggestion piqued Adrian Walyon’s interest.

He wanted to understand every place she had lived.

The driver brought the two to the entrance of the Sutton Family mansion. After getting out, Summer Sutton pulled Adrian Walyon inside.

Now, with Gina Sutton’s family gone, not even the caretaking servants were left in the Sutton Family.

The vast mansion was empty, only vaguely hinting at its past grandeur.

After Summer Sutton returned, she and Adrian Walyon tidied up the place and she showed him to her room.

"Let me show you around!"

Summer Sutton’s room still maintained the look of a princess room from her childhood; it was large, with many furnishings, and several display shelves stacked with dolls.

"There used to be more things in this room; every time Dad went abroad, he’d bring me gifts, slowly filling the room up. After Dad left, many of the dolls I liked were taken by Gina Sutton. She’s that kind of person."

Summer Sutton smiled lightly, her mention of past events not causing any pain now.

Adrian Walyon quietly listened to her, gently raising his hand to softly ruffle her hair, "You’ll have someone to spoil you from now on too!"

Summer Sutton paused, then lifted her face to smile at him.

Adrian Walyon casually walked around the room, picked up a photo frame on her bedside cabinet, and looked at it.

The photo inside was of Summer Sutton as a child.

At four or five years old, she was small, her long hair casually tied with a ribbon, holding a cat and smiling sweetly.

Adrian Walyon stared at the photo for a while, saying nothing, opened the frame, took out the photo, and put it in his pocket, "This is mine from now on."

Summer Sutton was speechless, her lips twitching, thinking of the first words he said when they met over two years ago, she leaned her head in front of him, nudged him with her body, "Honestly, did we meet when we were kids?"

Adrian Walyon didn’t reply, casually scanning her room. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Not giving up, Summer Sutton edged closer to him, tentatively asking, "Could it be you liked me even back then?"
