Chapter 677: Chapter 677: You scared me to death

"Why didn’t you answer my calls? It’s been a whole day, why didn’t you call me? Do you have any idea how worried I was rushing over here? Adrian Walyon, you scared me to death, sob sob..."

Her hand clasped his arm as she hit him several times.

No one could understand her feelings when she learned that the Morningview Tower exploded.

Summer Sutton rushed here, her mind completely blank.

Several times along the way, she couldn’t walk steadily.

The whole world felt like it was collapsing, roughly how it seemed to her.

Adrian Walyon stiffly let her, his arms holding her tightly.

"When your first call came in, my phone was dead. I later called you a few times, but you must have already boarded the plane, and your phone was off." Adrian Walyon explained seriously with his chin resting on her head.

"You should have called me the night of the incident. Such news would surely reach back home, you should at least assure me of your safety first!"

Summer Sutton’s tears flowed fiercely, continuously falling, her face was stained with tears, her nose reddened from crying, as disheveled as could be.

Yet, seeing her like this, Adrian Walyon found an indescribable beauty in her.

His wife, worried about him, rushed all the way from home!

The rare moment she cried so intensely, was because of him...

Adrian Walyon wiped away her tears over and over, continuously comforting her, "I just thought if this news didn’t reach back home, there was no need to worry you. Alright, don’t cry anymore! It’s all okay now! It’s okay now!"

Summer Sutton angrily hit him once more.

With such a major event unreported by the news, he was planning to just keep it from the family?

From not far away in the car, a gaze quietly watched the scene, lost in staring at the crying, unseemly Summer Sutton for a while. Inside, the man instructed the driver to start the car slowly, "Let’s go!"

Summer Sutton hugged Adrian Walyon, rubbing her tears and snot all over him.

She couldn’t understand his actions today. Frustrated, she lifted his neat shirt to wipe her face, deliberately smearing her tears on his chest, dirtying his shirt, only when seeing him similarly disheveled did her heart feel slightly better.

This made Adrian Walyon want to laugh, but under tonight’s circumstances, he couldn’t bring himself to smile.

Holding her, he used his big hand to smooth her back, took out tissues to wipe her dirty face clean, leading her towards the nearby police officers.

"Mr. Walyon, just in time, if convenient, please come with us to the police station to give a statement!" The officer said, spotting him.

"Alright." Adrian Walyon replied, and together with Summer Sutton got into the police car.

After arriving at the police station, they spent several hours giving statements, leaving the rest to the police. By the time Adrian Walyon walked out, it was already late at night.

He currently resided in a villa in the suburbs, taking Summer Sutton back there, where they rested for a few hours overnight.

Summer Sutton had arrived during work hours, now considered absent from work but wasn’t rushing to return.

Accompanying Adrian Walyon, they completed the cleanup and restoration of the Morningview Tower and discussed it together; Summer Sutton proposed relocating the office to a more discreet location.

She had no idea about the cause of the explosion, merely suspecting someone might be targeting Adrian Walyon.
