Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 625: Harboring Intentions Toward Her
Chiding the man holding her, Summer Sutton said firmly again, "Adrian Walyon, I told you I can’t go back just yet!"
Adrian ignored her, his expression remaining blank as he continued walking.
Considering Summer Sutton’s embarrassment, after a few steps, Adrian casually took off his jacket and wrapped it tightly around her.
"Adrian!" Summer Sutton poked her head out from his jacket, trying to reason with him, "I’ve been here for so many days, and it’s this friend who has been taking care of me. Several times, I nearly lost my life, and it’s only because of this friend that I’m still alive. He’s really in danger now, please help me find him, confirm he’s safe, and then I’ll go with you, okay?"
She was really close to begging him.
In all the years Summer Sutton had known Adrian, she had never spoken to him like this.
This infuriated Adrian further.
Was she using pleas for another man against him now?
Adrian’s face was cold enough to freeze over.
Summer Sutton’s words failed to reach him.
If someone could make her worry like this, no matter who it was, Adrian would never extend a helping hand.
Helping her would mean increasing his own strong rival, wouldn’t it?
"I can have someone help you collect the corpse," he casually threw out the words, heading towards the VIP passage with her.
He clearly had no intention of helping; all his tenderness was reserved solely for her, and when it came to anyone else, Adrian’s heart was cold and lacked kindness.
Summer Sutton trembled with rage.
She shoved him forcefully, struggling and trying to disentangle herself from his embrace.
"If you won’t go, don’t stop me from going!"
Adrian had no connection to Manuel Ink, so he could ignore Manuel’s impending death.
However, for Summer Sutton, it was different.
She still owed him her life four times over!
Adrian tightened his grip around her and continued walking toward the VIP passage, his expression unchanged.
Exiting the departure lounge, he carried Summer Sutton onto the private plane.
Once they boarded, the plane’s door slowly closed behind them.
Summer Sutton wriggled out from Adrian’s arms, running to the door to bang on it, attempting to open it.
But, she didn’t know how to open a plane door.
None of the service staff aboard dared to help her either; Summer stood rigidly at the doorway for quite a while before reluctantly returning to sit beside Adrian.
She was annoyed at his unreasonable behavior; after less than a minute of sitting down, she sprang up and moved to sit in a chair on the other side, staring out the window without speaking another word.
Adrian lightly tapped his fingertips on the tabletop, recalling every word she had said to him today.
He glanced sideways at her, staring a bit longer than usual.
"That man, why would he save you?" He calmly helped her analyze the situation.
Summer Sutton continued to gaze outside, ignoring him.
"Aren’t you afraid he has some ulterior motive for being around you?" Adrian reminded her, "Or perhaps, don’t you worry that your so-called accident was deliberately engineered by someone?"
Summer Sutton still avoided responding to him.
Back on the sea, when Manuel Ink rescued her, she was barely alive.
In such a state, what value could she possibly offer him?
Moreover, at that time, she had been stranded on an uninhabited island for days and then adrift at sea for so long. With her hair disheveled and face dirtied beyond recognition, Manuel Ink couldn’t possibly have known who she was.
