Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 410: Singlehood
Luo Muchen was still giddy about his transition from singlehood but because they had an important matter to deal with he had no choice but to contain himself. As they walked towards the utility room where Luo Muchen was keeping the dwarf, Qie Xieling was walking in front while Luo Muchen walking behind. There was enough space for them to walk alongside each other but Luo Muchen was fine walking behind him. That’s because he was watching his new man’s rear end sway left to right enticing him. Qie Xieling had no idea that his ass had been scrutinised to the T until every inch of it was etched inside Luo Muchen’s brain.
He turned around unexpectedly and he suddenly met Luo Muchen’s gaze. Caught staring, Luo Muchen was given a start. Qie Xieling asked, "What?" and Luo Muchen replied hastily,
"No-nothing. It’s this way." Luo Muchen scanned his communicator and the door slid open. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
They stepped into the dimly lit cell within the spacecraft, their eyes adjusting to the gloom. The air was heavy with tension, as they stood face to face with the last dwarf from Svartalfheim. The dwarf, visibly terrified, cowered in the corner, his body curled up as if trying to disappear.
Luo Muchen still held a grudge for chasing this bastard through the sewer pipes. His stern expression hardened, his grip tightening around his plasma gun. With a swift motion, he aimed it at the dwarf, his voice filled with authority. "Tell us how to open the box!" he commanded, his tone laced with impatience. He couldn’t wait to end his father and finally be free. Luo Muchen was more than willing to use other means of torture to get information out of him.
The dwarf trembled uncontrollably, fear etched deeply into his wide eyes. The sound of his rapid breaths filled the silence, his body betraying him as he involuntarily released a small whimper. Overwhelmed by terror, he lost control and peed himself, the odour permeating the confined space.
Luo Muchen’s face twisted in disgust, repulsed by this man’s helplessness. He turned abruptly, ready to leave and find someone to clean up the mess. However, before he could take a step, Qie Xieling half-kneeled before the dwarf his gaze gentle.
"Please," he spoke softly, his voice carrying an undercurrent of vulnerability. "My parents left me the box, and I need your help. I don’t understand its purpose or how to open it. If you have any knowledge, share it with us." His eyes searched the dwarf’s face, hoping to find a glimmer of understanding amidst the fear.
The dwarf’s trembling began to subside, his wide eyes shifting from Luo Muchen’s terrifying face to Qie Xieling’s earnest expression. The short and stocky man sat up a little before asking, "Your parents?... Marianne and Charles?"
Qie Xieling glanced at Luo Muchen before looking at the dwarf. Those were the character’s parent’s names but he didn’t expect him to know that.
"Yes... did you know them?" asked Qie Xieling and the dwarf shook his head no.
"Not personally but whatever our great leader gave them got my people and them killed... if you open it, you will follow them soon," he said only for Luo Muchen to grasp the back of his collar almost choking him.
He struggled to pull down the fabric of his clothes so it wouldn’t strangle him to death. He could already see black spots and was about to pass out when Qie Xieling placed his hand over Luo Muchen’s to stop him.
Luo Muchen let him go but he was still pissed off after he said something negative about Qie Xieling. He took a step back while the dwarf coughed fervently. After a while, he said, "I-I will tell you everything... just... just let me change my clothes and eat something."
Qie Xieling glanced at Luo Muchen as though looking for his approval and Luo Muchen had no choice but to agree.
"You can sort yourself out when we get on the warship," he said before turning to leave.
When they left the room Luo Muchen was wiping his hands that had touched the dwarf with sanitary wipes. Qie Xieling could tell he was extremely uncomfortable so he took the wipes from him and wiped each finger meticulously. Luo Muchen looked at Qie Xieling’s lowered head. He raised his other hand and his fingers ran through Qie Xieling’s hair.
Qie Xieling looked up and Luo Muchen caressed his cheek. Luo Muchen leaned down to kiss his lips but just as their lips were about to touch Qie Xieling took a step back and said, "Let’s go."
Luo Muchen swallowed his Adam’s apple bobbing with a look of disappointment. He followed after Qie Xieling already exhibiting signs that he was turning into a hen-pecked husband.

As the warship Blood Hound soared away from the devastated star of Rion, leaving behind a trail of destruction, chaos ensued in the outer reaches of space. The once lawless territory surrounding Rion was bustling with other vessels belonging to pirates and criminals, unaware of the looming threat that awaited them.
Amidst the debris and wreckage, a fleet of sleek Zeden Coalition warships appeared, their imposing presence casting an ominous shadow over the outlaws. Led by General Bi, the Coalition forces closed in on the unsuspecting criminals.
General Bi’s face was etched with pain and frustration. Her normally composed demeanour was now marred by a visible limp after Qie Xieling shot her. He wanted to get her hands on Qie Xieling and tear him up to pieces. She wanted him dead.
As her warships encircled the pirate vessels, her voice resonated through the comm systems, dripping with anger and resolve, "Arrest all of them!" Her teeth clenched tightly, her words punctuated with a simmering fury.
The Zeden Coalition soldiers, armed and ready, swiftly boarded the captured ships, their presence instilling fear in the hearts of the criminals. The outlaws, outnumbered and outmatched, found themselves trapped, their escape routes sealed by the Coalition forces.
As the General watched her soldiers apprehend the criminals, her gaze flickered towards the distance, where the Blood Hound had vanished into the vastness of space. A mixture of disappointment and determination swirled in her eyes, knowing that her mission was far from over.
