Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 408: A totem pole
Luo Muchen was about to pick up Qie Xieling into his arms and carry him out when Valria groaned as she struggled to get back up on her feet. The sound of gunfire and chaos in the background turned into white noise the tension in the room spiralling.
Her body ached as she slowly pushed herself up from the cold, hard floor. The impact had been brutal, the force of being flung against the wall sending shards of pain through her every nerve. But she was determined, fueled by her twisted desires and the satisfaction of her malicious smile.
As she rose, she wiped the corner of her lips, smearing away the trickle of blood that had escaped from the impact. The taste of iron lingered, a bitter reminder of the violence that had unfolded. Her eyes, filled with a mix of triumph and rage, locked onto Luo Muchen, who stood a few feet away, glowering back at her with an intensity that matched her own.
Valria’s heart ached, a deep-seated longing coursing through her veins. All she wanted was for Luo Muchen to love her, to see her as the one who completed him. But instead, he loved a man, someone she couldn’t accept. Her mind spun with a maelstrom of conflicting emotions—jealousy, anger, and an insatiable thirst for revenge.
She took a step closer to Luo Muchen, her every movement exuding a sinister determination. Her voice, laced with venom, sliced through the tense air. "How can you still want a person that’s been touched by others?" Her words hung heavy in the room, filled with desperation and a twisted sense of entitlement.
Luo Muchen’s gaze hardened, his jaw clenched, but he remained silent, refusing to give her the satisfaction of a response. Valria’s heart twisted with a mix of hurt and rage. She had expected a fight, a confrontation fueled by their mutual desires. But his silence only fueled her anger further.
With a sudden surge of energy, Valria lunged toward Luo Muchen, her fingers curling into fists. Hatred burned in her eyes as she aimed a punch at his face, but he swiftly dodged, sidestepping her with a grace that only further infuriated her.
Their dance of aggression continued each move a testament to their conflicted emotions. Valria fought with all her might, her desire to possess Luo Muchen overpowering the pain coursing through her body. But every strike she made felt futile as if she was battling an insurmountable force.
As the room spun with their struggle, Valria’s mind raced, searching for a way to break through Luo Muchen’s impenetrable armour. She knew she couldn’t force him to love her, but she couldn’t accept defeat either. Her determination burned like a fire within her, fueling her every move.
After being shoved against the wall again her head buzzed as she straightened her back. She massaged her forehead as she continued poking the bear.
She laughed sinisterly and said, "Look at him. He is even hard. How could he like men and still get hard under my provocation?"
Bo Ailun, "Oh shit!"
This woman indeed had a death wish. As expected Luo Muchen didn’t spare her. He threw her through the window and with a resounding crash. Screams followed after and then an eerie silence.
Luo Muchen walked towards Qie Xieling seeming very angry. He lifted him into a princess carry. When they entered the spacecraft Luo Muchen took him to the medical bay and had him looked at.
Qie Xieling mumbled, "Be gentle. I don’t want to break something." Luo Muchen glanced at his hardness that was clearly not going away and he felt so sour.
He set him down gently before turning to leave. Qie Xieling was shocked to see him leave. He knew that Luo Muchen was upset but who between them really deserved to be angry? He was almost assaulted yet Luo Muchen was sulking like he was the one that had been assaulted. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"Mu Mu," he called out really wanting him to stay. "Where are you going?" Luo Muchen looked at him for a while before telling the doctor,
"Take great care of him." After that, he just left without saying a word.
Qie Xieling, "..."
He pouted his lips feeling very wronged. He didn’t want to react to her. In fact, he felt nothing towards her. It had to be the drugs otherwise why would it still be standing like a damn totem pole. He lay on that sterile medical bed, his body weak and his spirit battered but his junior brother was so active like it had been injected with chicken blood.
As though confirming his words the doctor said, "This will help with your paralysis but I can’t help you with that. You are going to need to take care of it yourself."
Qie Xieling bit his lip brimming with annoyance. When the cool medicine entered his blood stream a tingling sensation began to spread throughout his body, starting from the point of injection. It was as if a dormant energy was awakening within him.
His eyes widened as he watched his fingers and toes twitch. A smile formed on his parched lips as he realised he could move them.
Relief washed over him like a soothing wave, easing the burden of his suffering. With every flicker of movement, he felt a renewed sense of strength. The medicine was working and bringing him back to life.
Ten minutes passed, and he summoned the strength to get up. His legs wobbled slightly, unaccustomed to bearing his weight after being paralysed. The room spun around him, and he gripped the edge of the bed to steady himself. The dizziness was a small price to pay.
"I... I can’t thank you enough, Doctor," Qie Xieling said, his voice still weak but filled with gratitude. That woman was truly vicious. He looked at the physician, whose eyes held a mix of compassion and satisfaction.
"No need," the doctor replied, a hint of a smile on his face. "Rest assured, you will be better soon."
Qie Xieling nodded and took a few tentative steps towards the bathroom in the spacecraft. He had to take care of his member who was standing at attention.
