Chapter 381: Chapter 318: Iris subordinate

Kielbasa’s features tightened. "That’s why we must kill her. Someone who opposes my mother and causes her worry mustn’t be left to live."

"And how do you propose we do that?" Gray’s voice was small but steady. She stared at him as if pleading for a plan.

"When she is no longer protected by Saintess Vanuer, when she leaves the Academy, Ellia will take care of her," Kielbasa said. "I prefer not to make an enemy of her either, however she offended my mother and must be dealt with. Not everyone who has power can do what they want. That’s why we have rules to keep our society at balance. And if Ellia can’t kill her, I will personally kill her myself. No matter how good her revival ability is, it would obviously have a limit."

"But Sacred, how do you know she has revival powers?" Gray asked curiously

"From the summit of course," Kielbasa interrupted. "And from events that leave no other explanation. How else would she survive a ruin? How else could she defeat the Bahamut Ruin in the Dark Seas without some sort of insane healing abilities and possibly reviving after dying?" His voice went colder. "And Jade Havensworth, the Arcane human. If she did that, if she actually did kill him, then we must investigate. I refuse to believe someone like her could kill him."

"Finally, school’s over!" Aurianna cheered as she slumped lazily into the couch, arms spread wide like she was claiming it for herself.

"I doubt you’re actually tired," Zeche snorted, raising a brow at her.

"Physically? Nope. Mentally? Absolutely." Aurianna let out a calm sigh, though a small smile tugged at her lips.

"Today was literally one of the best days of my life!" Christopher shouted as he flopped into the other chair, grinning ear to ear.

Shuwi tilted her head curiously. "Hmm, why’s that?"

Christopher smirked, leaning back with a smug grin. "Heh, you should’ve seen the way the ladies were looking at me. I swear, I’ll probably get a girlfriend soon."

Shuwi frowned, unimpressed. "Did you come to study... or to date?"

"Obviously both, silly! That’s what we call multitasking." Christopher puffed up proudly.

Shuwi rolled her eyes so hard it looked painful. "Whatever you say..."

Christopher ignored her, his attention turning toward Aurianna. "Aurianna..." he sang, scooting closer with a mischievous grin.

"What now?" she asked warily.

"I heard you were a good cook."

"Of course I am," Aurianna replied proudly, puffing out her chest.

"Then..." Christopher clasped his hands together, his eyes sparkling. "Could you make dinner today? Please?"

Aurianna’s stomach gave the tiniest growl, betraying her. She sighed in defeat. "I guess I’m hungry too. Fine. But I’m going to take a bath first. After that, I’ll cook."

"You’re the best!" Christopher cheered.

A few hours later, the table was overflowing with food, steaming bowls, roasted meats, and yummy soups that filled the air with good scents.

"Uh... are we having guests over?" Juvin asked, stepping in and blinking at the large table of food in confusion.

"Nope! This is all Aurianna’s doing," Christopher explained proudly, practically drooling. "Doesn’t it smell amazing?"

"It smells like the end of our ingredient supply," Zorian muttered, his voice heavy with despair. "Our pantry is doomed..."

"Here." Aurianna casually tossed him a glowing magic coin. "That should cover enough ingredients to last us for a while."

Zorian caught it, his eyes going wide as he felt its weight. "A while?! This could last us more than six years worth of food!" he shouted, clutching it like it was a sacred relic. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Christopher, too busy stuffing his cheeks, didn’t care. Elena, seeing the feast, immediately joined in, eating with the same hunger as if she hadn’t seen food in days.

Meanwhile, Aurianna pulled three dull orbs from her space pocket and turned them over in her hand.

"These are compressed monster souls and meat infused with high-density magic from me," Vivian explained as she handed Aurianna three massive bags full of them. "Don’t worry, they’re pure. You can eat them, and it would take care of most of your hunger problems, and you will still be able to enjoy normal food without feeling stuffed." She winked playfully.

Curious, Aurianna popped one into her mouth. The moment it melted on her tongue, a wave of energy washed through her stomach. The endless hunger she was feeling immediately disappeared.

"...Not bad," she murmured, before happily eating the food she prepared.

Peter cleared his throat suddenly. "Aurianna, I have a question."

Her gaze shifted to him. "Go on."

"Your sister, the older one. Does she have the same knights as you?"

"Yes, I believe she has all the knights," Aurianna replied. "Though I haven’t checked much on the others. Why are you asking?"

Peter hesitated before blurting, "To satisfy my curiosity. Especially about your race. It’s strange, your sisters are all black, but... you have white skin."

The room went silent for a moment.

"You do know I’m black too, right?" Aurianna said flatly, frowning at him.

Both Elena and Christopher froze mid-bite, staring at her with wide eyes.

"You’re... black? Like me?" Elena asked, shocked.

"I thought it was obvious," Aurianna replied, her brow furrowing. "You’ve seen my twin sister."

"To be real, Aurianna... it’s not that obvious," Zeche admitted carefully. The others nodded in agreement.

"Aurianna is it a skin condition?" Elena asked with teary eyes as she stuffed her mouth, so it was hard to tell if she was actually concerned or hungry.

"Vitiligo I believe that’s the name, and probably something to do with my race. Our skin is supposed to be the colour of our heart," Aurianna explained.

"Your heart is white?" Batholem asked in confusion.

’Oh yeah I’m not to tell them about the gem,’ Aurianna realized.

"Something like that, by now you all know," Aurianna stated calmly.

She leaned back in her chair, her expression softening as her thoughts drifted elsewhere. "Now I’m starting to get curious about my big sister’s other subordinates..." she mumbled under her breath.

’System,’ she spoke telepathically, her eyes narrowing slightly. ’Who’s Iris’s strongest subordinate?’
