Chapter 164: Chapter 150: Not healing

"Abed has been destroyed," Aurianna’s voice quivered with panic, the sudden severance of her connection amplifying the impending threat as King Girsal closed in on them.

Before King Girsal, Queen defiantly positioned herself, brandishing her sword. The command came coldly from King Girsal, "Out of my way, summon," as his hand pointed menacingly at Queen.

Undeterred, Queen swung her sword, attempting to crush the ground beneath, but King Girsal effortlessly stood atop her blade, snapping his fingers. [Raven Ashes.] Green mechanical feathers materialized, thousands of them floating around Queen, confusing her. But before she could react, the feathers transformed into relentless spikes, piercing her body mercilessly.

[Desimate.] King Girsal pointed his finger that glowed at Queen, cleaving her in half, and turning her into light. Aurianna yelled inwardly, "Queen has been destroyed. Ruigo!"

"I’m done!" Ruigo beamed triumphantly, only to be interrupted by a familiar voice, causing her to turn her head. King Girsal, now confronting Ruigo and Abed, declared, "I have no idea what your plan is, golem. You’re hurting my daughter so you must go."

"Raarrghhh!!!" Ruigo and Luta screeched in as their bodies were being twisted by an unknown force. But Ruigo looked down to see King Girsal crushing his fingers. After a few minutes their bodies were shattered and they turned into light and shot into Aurianna’s body.

"Aurianna!!" Freed immediately rushed to Aurianna’s side as she lost consciousness, her face etched in pain. Anxious, he cradled her, gently asking, "Hey, are you okay?" Aurianna managed a feeble response, "It hurts so bad." Panicking, Freed noticed black lines resembling tattoos on her skin, crawling around her. "Black lines are coming on her skin!"

"Father, Aurianna," Freed uttered, looking at King Girsal.

"Seriously, this child, what the hell were you thinking?!" King Girsal remarked, touching Aurianna’s head. ’Her entire system is a mess!’ He shook his head in disbelief. "I’m even surprised she’s still alive after all that!" he added. "Cancel the stream immediately!" he ordered, met with swift compliance from Lauren.

"Yes," Lauren nodded as she muttered some words and the Streaming Meimu flew towards her and fell asleep, shutting down.

In a moment of curiosity, King Girsal watched Aurianna bleeding stomach. His finger caught a drop of leaking blood and he placed it in his mouth. Tasting a drop of her blood, his eyes widened in shock and surprise.

Freed could only tremble as he witnessed his father’s actions. "This is amazing!" King Girsal gasped, feeling rejuvenated. "Just like a Saintess, but of better quality."

"King Girsal, you seem so happy," Chu remarked uneasily, appearing beside him.

"Why wouldn’t I be, since we have won this war?" King Girsal asked with a smile, unsettling Chu. "And Freed, what are you standing here for? Take her to the church!" he commanded, and Freed hastily complied before dashing off.

"Advisor Chu, it seems that she has the power of a Saintess, but she doesn’t have any god or goddess branding. Which is strange," King Girsal observed.

"Is it possible for someone to gain the power of a Saintess after they eat a Saintess?" King Girsal questioned Chu.

"It’s impossible; no record show of this," Chu shook his head.

"It seems that child is much more special than I thought," King Girsal muttered with a grin. "Try and extract some of her blood and bring it to me," he ordered Chu.

"Your Majesty! She’s your child!" Chu retorted in panic.

"Did you hear what I said?!" King Girsal asked with a cold expression.

"I shall do as you say, Your Majesty," Chu said with a nervous bow.

"That’s what I like to hear!" King Girsal beamed, patting Chu on the back before walking off.

"Aurianna, you fool!" Hotron burst into a luxurious room, where Aurianna lay on a bed in a nightgown.

"Head Priest Hotron, you came to see me?" Aurianna chuckled weakly.

Hotron approached Aurianna, his expression changing as he noticed her injuries. "Your arms, legs, and eye!"

"Have you tried to heal her?" Hotron inquired of the healers in the room.

"We’ve tried everything, but her body won’t heal, no matter what we do," a healer admitted, prompting a displeased frown from Hotron.

"Dammit, how is it possible for you not to heal? Every single race can be healed by us!" Hotron exclaimed.

"Aurianna, you have self-healing, so why isn’t it working?" Kaede appeared behind Hotron, looking at Aurianna with concern.

"Stop worrying, Hotron. This is the price of summoning my knights, and it won’t regenerate for a year or two," Aurianna reassured with a smile, eyeing her crystal body parts. "In the meantime, I’ll be using these. Don’t I look cool with these, Kaede?"

"They do look cool!" Kaede beamed.

Hotron, however, was less impressed. "Seriously, what were you thinking? You almost died!"

Aurianna gasped, noticing tears streaming from Kaede’s eyes. "Why are you crying, Kaede?"

"Because you’re a stupid idiot, and I want you to feel guilty!" Kaede blurted out.

"Oh, Kaede," Aurianna chuckled before turning to Hotron. "The goddess promised me money if I win. And if I fought with Queen Shiba, King Girsal wouldn’t chase after me for my summon, killing 100,000 knights."

"So, you were ready to throw your life away just for money?" Hotron questioned with a glare.

"It was very good money, you know?" Aurianna defended.

"How much was it that you were willing to throw away your life?" Hotron asked, still angry.

"One hundred thousand magic coins," Aurianna calmly replied.

"You said?" Hotron’s eyes widened in shock.

"One hundred thousand magic coins," Aurianna repeated.

"So much!" Kaede gasped.

"The goddess of war is generous. Maybe I should join her church," Aurianna pondered.

"Aurianna."

"Yes, Kaede?"

"When you get better, sponsor me!" Kaede requested with a grin and a thumbs up.

"Chi, chi, chi," Aurianna laughed as she stared at Kaede. "I can’t sponsor you for free, though," she added.

"Eh, why? You’re so rich now; that money is enough for a person to live a luxurious life for 200 years. Don’t be greedy!" Kaede said, his eyes reflecting gold coins.

"It’s my money, though," Aurianna whined as she eyed Kaede.

"Aurianna, please," Kaede pleaded, employing puppy eyes.

"When I get better, then!" Aurianna declared, patting Kaede on the head.

"Ya, ya!" Kaede cheered, jumping around the room after getting off her bed.

"Don’t spoil this brat!" Hotron frowned, catching Kaede and pulling his cheeks.

"Head Priest Hotron, you meanie!" Kaede complained, rubbing his cheeks and glaring at Hotron.

"Chi, chi, chi," Aurianna laughed calmly as she watched them. A lovely smile played on her lips.

"Aurianna, are you going to be alright?" a healer beside her inquired.

"Yes, don’t worry. I just need some sleep to recover my energy, so can I be left alone?" Aurianna requested.

"Let’s leave," Hotron ordered, and everyone quickly exited, closing the door behind them.

"Ostusi, are you there?" Aurianna called.

"Yes, princess. Are you ready to leave?" Ostusi asked, observing Aurianna’s crystal-replaced body parts and sickly appearance.

"Yes, I am," Aurianna replied.

"But your body!" Ostusi gasped.

"No need to worry. I can support myself with these crystal hands. Just take me there," Aurianna said, extending her crystal arms for Ostusi to grasp.

"Okay, then. But let me place a doppelganger first," Ostusi suggested cautiously. Aurianna immediately shook her head. "Eva would handle that," she said confidently, getting up from her bed.

Suddenly, Eva appeared and waved her hand, creating an exact copy of Aurianna’s body.

’That being again,’ Ostusi thought, noticing the dark misty form of Eva.

"I’m guessing you can see me?" Eva asked, surprising Ostusi.

"I just have a very good eye," Ostusi nervously replied.

"Eh, he can see you, Eva?" Aurianna asked, surprised.

"I noticed he can. This child is special," Eva blurted out, pulling Ostusi’s cheeks.

*Cough* *cough* Aurianna coughed frantically as white blood came out from her mouth.

"Aurianna!" Ostusi panicked, holding her in his arms.

"Let’s go quickly," Aurianna ordered, her brows creased and her face looking sicker.

"Are you dying?" Ostusi asked.

"I’m not dying," Aurianna insisted.

"Yes, you aren’t. You’re just going through some body changes," Eva stated, her voice sounding grave. "I can’t tell if it’s an evolution, though, because it’s doesn’t seem like the evolution on your Gemaris evolution list."

"Changes at this time? Then we have to hurry!" Aurianna urged Ostusi, and with the help of the Sucker, they immediately teleported.
