Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 153 - 139: War against the infinite Nation
Some changes would be made pls.
I wanted to announce that I would like to change the race name from Diamond to Gemaris.
The name Diamond gives the vibe of Steven’s Universe too much so I would like to change that name. The Pearls get changed to Jewels
I suck at names 😭 I’m sorry. Any better name suggestions would be appreciated greatly.
But I realised this is needed to not confuse my story with Steven’s Universe.
I went to try and watch Steven’s Universe. It’s not the type of story I’m interested in. But I really do like the name Diamond and Pearl. Because land of Lustrous they so freaking pretty!
They just looked so precious. And the Land of lustrous fanarts are epic.
She’s so shiny and I love shiny
As much as I like the name, I think it’s better I changed them to another race.
The gems would be called Crystals. Because I really love the stone names.
So like instead of Aurianna being called White Diamond. She’ll be called White Gemaris.
________
Aurianna, with a playful glint in her eye, raised her voice. "Well, I guess it’s time to drink all the succubus essence," she declared. Her fingers danced upon the ring, and she gave her ring three light taps. In an instant, her room was filled with hundreds of barrels materializing out of thin air.
She couldn’t help but wear a secretive smile. "Seems Eva’s barrier is active so no one can see what I’m actually doing," she pondered. Her light blue eyes danced around the room as she nodded in satisfaction.
She approached a nearby barrel and, with curiosity piqued, cracked it open. Aurianna couldn’t resist the temptation; she leaned in to take a cautious whiff. A wave of pink liquid wafted up to her nose, and she couldn’t help but cough at the intoxicating aroma. "What a weird scent," she mused, her thoughts drifting back to the time she had quizzed Mike about the mysterious extraction process of succubus essence.
"Some questions are best left unanswered," Mike had replied, a nervous tinge in his voice, leaving Aurianna perplexed about the true origin of the succubus essence. She opted to leave it at that, not pressing for further details.
Glancing at the sea of barrels that had transformed her room to resemble a winery store house in the market, she couldn’t help but praise him. "Mike really outdid himself this time," she admitted.
Zagan, couldn’t contain his curiosity. His inquisitive eyes stared at the barrels as he asked, "What are they, Master?"
Aurianna chuckled, as she teased, "Just some strange drinks."
Zagan asked excitedly. "Can I have a taste, then?"
Aurianna’s playful demeanor took a sharp turn. She hissed, "No, Zagan, these are all for me. Every last drop."
Zagan couldn’t hide his concern. "But, Master, can you truly consume them all? There’s an entire sea of barrels in this room. Well over a hundred!"
Aurianna laughed, her light blue eyes sparkling. "Don’t worry, Zagan, for I have a clever solution up my sleeve." All of a sudden, Aurianna’s hands morphed into a slimy substance, wrapping themselves around the barrels. And they were devoured by her liquid-like form, leaving her room as empty as it had been before.
"Now then," she declared with a satisfied pat on her belly as her hands had transformed back to normal, "All that’s left to do is wait for them to digest."
*Gurgle*
A rumbling growl emanated from her stomach, and a concerned expression flitted across Aurianna’s face. "I can’t help but have a bad feeling about this," she admitted, her voice trembling a bit as she felt the strange sensations coursing through her tummy.
________
The day of the war.
"Time to get you read, princess!" The maids, a group of ten, greeted Aurianna in perfect unison, their eyes locked onto her, almost as if under a spell.
One maid, enchanted by Aurianna’s presence, couldn’t help but blurt out, "You look exceptionally beautiful this morning," as she gently dried the princess’s body before slipping on a delicate dress.
"Your entire being is practically sparkling," another maid chimed in.
"Yes, I am," Aurianna grinned as she admired her reflection in the mirror. Her hair seemed to shimmer and reflect light and her eyes gleamed like precious gems. "Ever since I drank that succubus essence, these sparkles won’t leave me. My charm has increased by a large number, and I’ve even acquired a charisma skill. People can’t look away from me. It’s splendid!" she thought to herself, feeling quite pleased.
"Princess, the King’s punishment is far too severe. You don’t deserve this," said one of the maids, her voice filled with empathy.
"Are you sure? I did kill some people," Aurianna chuckled mockingly as she fixed her gaze on the concerned maid.
"Such actions are hardly crimes for a princess," the maid declared with conviction.
"Indeed," the other maids concurred nodding in agreement.
"You were simply hurt by the Duke’s daughter’s disrespectful behavior. I can’t believe that uncouth girl would be so rude to your highness!" proclaimed another maid fiercely.
"Absolutely," Aurianna chimed in agreement. "A princess like me shouldn’t be penalized for killing a disrespectful brat. However, it’s a matter of law. Conflicts between the Royal Family and the Dukes over petty issues are strictly forbidden. It’s Father’s way of maintaining internal peace in the realm, preventing noble disputes. I disrupted that peace, so he had no choice but to punish me. Do you think my father is a fool for doing that?" Aurianna asked, her glare fixed on the maids.
"Yes absolutely," they all replied in unison. Aurianna couldn’t help but notice their dreamy expressions and grinned.
"Your Highness could never do anything wrong," one of the maids said, her cheeks flushed. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"But, Princess, aren’t you afraid?" inquired another maid, genuine concern in her voice.
"Why should I be afraid when I plan on returning alive?" Aurianna responded with a smile as the maids continued to assist with her attire.
"But you’re only nine," pointed out the nervous maid.
Aurianna gasped in realization. "Ah, yes, I often forget I’m just nine," she thought, casting a look at herself in the mirror. ’I look more like a teenager.’
"The princess is shining so brilliantly. Hah!" The maids couldn’t help but gasp in admiration, nearly collapsing to the floor. Even Aurianna’s hair seemed to emit a radiant glow.
"Aren’t you supposed to be helping me change? Now is not the time to faint," Aurianna scolded, and the maids quickly composed themselves.
"Sorry, Princess, you’re just too mesmerizing for us to handle!" exclaimed one of the maids.
Aurianna’s response was straightforward. "Then just get used to my looks."
"So, what dress am I wearing for today? I can’t just fight around in any regular dress; they’d be torn to shreds. And my old battle attire doesn’t quite fit anymore," she added with a furrowed brow, eyeing her options.
A maid gracefully presented the answer, handing Aurianna a stunning black dress. It resembled a black and white jumpsuit, exuding a sense of luxury with it’s beautiful designs.
"Here’s a letter from the church, too," the maid handed Aurianna a pink letter.
With curiosity piqued, Aurianna opened the pink letter, causing it to float in the air while a familiar voice echoed from it.
"Aurianna, you infuriating brat! How many times have I told you about your fiery temper? Look where it’s landed you!" Hotron’s voice seethed with frustration.
"I wanted to attend your trial at the palace, but I wasn’t granted permission, likely thanks to your father." he continued, a touch of regret in his tone. "I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to help. But if only you’d heed my advice and learn to control that temper of yours, to stop acting rashly wherever you go, you wouldn’t be in this situation!"
"Everyone at the church sends their well-wishes and prays for your safe return. We’re also sending over one of the church’s Divine Knight battle dresses for the ladies. I hope it fits you. Kaede suggested we dye it black since it seems pink isn’t your cup of tea. I’d like to think you wouldn’t disdain the color symbolizing our goddess, but hey, it’s your choice. And when you return in one piece, prepare yourself for a lengthy lecture!" Hotron’s final outburst came before the message ended. Aurianna couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Old man, you really need to lighten up sometimes," Aurianna mused as the letter fell into her hands. She set it aside and focused on the dress before her.
"Interesting, an outfit with formidable defense and a no-tear guarantee. Hotron, the man who is so stingy with money, was so willing to give this to me despite knowing their cost. Hotron has become quite generous," Aurianna remarked with a chuckle.
The maids were quick to help her wear the dress, and it fit perfectly on Aurianna.
"Princess, you look adorbale in that dress!" declared maid 1, clearly impressed.
"I know," Aurianna responded with a smile, striding out of her room. To her surprise, she found five knights in gleaming platinum armor awaiting her.
"Princess Aurianna Vanluad, are you prepared?" asked one of the knights in a deep, commanding tone.
Aurianna huffed in response, "I’m not, and I haven’t even had breakfast yet, you know."
"Apologies, but you’re to be escorted to the gates of Sandeph immediately. Regrettably, breakfast will have to wait," the knight explained firmly, his gaze fixed on Aurianna.
She raised an eyebrow. "Hmm, I was under the impression we’d be gathering at the main palace."
"No, Princess. You’ll be immediately dispatched to the front lines," the knight clarified.
"Alright then, but are the 20,000 knights stationed there?" Aurianna inquired.
"Yes, they are, and there are 400,000 more for the second and third rounds," replied the knight.
"I suppose the Infinite Nation must be quite formidable if my father is deploying such a massive force," Aurianna remarked with a sneer.
"Am I allowed to bring my Divine Knights?" Aurianna looked up at the platinum knight.
"Unfortunately not," the knight shook his head.
"It’s a shame I won’t have you four with me," Aurianna said, noticing her Divine Knights kneeling behind her.
"Princess!" They all chorused.
"Jenna, Klark, Ronald, Remi," Aurianna called out to them, turning around.
"Please, let us accompany you!!!" Remi pleaded.
"The king’s orders!" The platinum knight said solemnly.
"Tch," Remi clicked her tongue discreetly.
"Don’t get too attached to me; it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I won’t die, so just watch over my mansion and my finances for me," Aurianna ordered with a smile.
"Understood, princess. We’ll await your return!" Her Divine Knights replied respectfully.
"Shall we go, Princess?" asked the platinum knight.
"Lead the way," Aurianna replied, following the knights outside her mansion. Three opulent carriages were waiting, each occupied by platinum knights.
"Does my dear Father think I’d run away?" Aurianna quipped, giving them a mocking glance.
"Just precautionary measures," the platinum knight explained as he entered a carriage with Aurianna before they set off.
"I am hungry, though," Aurianna complained, rubbing her belly and pouting.
Aurianna suddenly noticed three pairs of outstretched arms, offering food. "Hmm?" Aurianna pretended to be oblivious.
"You mentioned you were hungry, so here’s some food," the platinum knight with the deep voice bashfully offered, and the other knights nodded in agreement.
Aurianna smirked and accepted the wrapped food from their hands. "Thank you," she said with a cute smile that made these stern knights’ hearts flutter.
As they drove through the noble’s city, Aurianna’s carriage passed through the bustling common city. Spectators gathered to witness the princess’s carriage pass.
"That’s the princess’s carriage!" someone exclaimed.
"She’s going to war alone? And at just nine years old!" a woman gasped.
"I was shocked when I heard it. I couldn’t believe it," a man shook his head.
"She’s not going alone; she’ll have 20,000 knights and will be on the front lines for the first round," another man explained.
"Leading an army of 20,000 at such a young age? Are they trying to get those knights killed?" a woman remarked, crossing her arms.
"I heard Concubine Momo will be supervising," another woman added.
"Well, if she’s overseeing, I can rest easy," the former woman said with a relieved sigh.
"Well, that brat had it coming for being so cruel and looking down on us commoners and adventurers!" a man yelled with anger.
"Hey, the princess just lowered her carriage window!" someone announced.
"Time to prepare to launch some veggies at her," a mischievous lad said as he grabbed some red fruits from his bag.
"Uh, isn’t that kind of treasonous?" another boy nervously asked.
"Nah, not really. Her old man’s basically sentenced her to a death indirectly," the fruit-wielding boy shrugged. However, when Aurianna stuck her head out, the crowd fell silent. She promptly leaped onto the roof of her carriage, gazing down at them with a cocky grin. The crowd remained hushed as they stared in confusion.
"Commoners would always be foul mouthed fools. If you think I’ll die, reshape those thoughts because I would come back alive! For I am princess Aurianna Vanluad, I would not die in a mere war!" Aurianna proclaimed loudly, her voice booming through the crowd. Her confident expression and gleaming eyes left no room for doubt.
"Is that really Princess Aurianna?" someone asked, mesmerized by her appearance.
"She looks like an angel, shining so brightly," a man commented as he shielded his eyes.
"More like she’s an over confident lad!"
’That’s right, all eyes should be on me. Just keep them glued to me throughout this whole war. Ostusi, I’m counting on you for the rest!’ Aurianna thought with a smile.
[ Congratulations, you’ve charmed three thousand people! ]
"Well, guess I need to aim for charming the whole darn country," Aurianna thought with a grin as she sat on top of her moving carriage.
After a while, Aurianna finally reached the front gates of Sandeph, where she spotted an immense army. Knights clad in silver, gold, or platinum armor stood in formation, alongside the Dukes and Grand Dukes.
Aurianna’s carriage, however, continued past them, heading toward the front of the army, where 20,000 knights were stationed. With the assistance of her platinum knights, she disembarked and walked before the first round army. Video memius circled her, projecting her image before the assembled troops on large screen around them.
"Her Highness Princess Aurianna Vanluad is here to lead you in this war! The Grand Duke Momo Vanluad will supervise, and if things go south, she’ll step in. The second army batch won’t be backing up the 20,000 knights in the first round!" the platinum knights announced.
"I still find your world’s customs a bit strange, Aurianna," Eva said, her voice resonating in Aurianna’s head.
"What’s so weird about it?" Aurianna asked Eva telepathically.
"It’s just peculiar that everyone has to schedule a day with the Goddess of War to fight another country, and she has to be there to watch," Eva voiced her thoughts.
"Well, think about it. Given how you act, it seems the gods and goddesses don’t have much entertainment. So, war is probably their version of a thrilling show," Aurianna explained with a shrug.
