Chapter 122: Chapter 108: Orc Express

In a confident stride, Yui led a procession of maids through the elegantly adorned hallways, finally arriving at the grand entrance of Princess Aurianna’s chambers. Standing before them were six valiant female knights, dutifully guarding the door.

With a determined smile, Yui mustered all her charm and chirped, "Hey there, beautiful armored ladies! With utmost respect, I have come to prepare the princess for the day," Yui announced cheerfully, and the knights acknowledged her request by nodding in unison, promptly granting them access as the doors swung open.

As the doors gracefully parted, Yui and her entourage gracefully entered the princess’s quarters, passing by a tastefully furnished living room and a chamber adorned with exercise equipment. Progressing further, they arrived at a pristine white door, which they gingerly opened, revealing Princess Aurianna ensconced in peaceful slumber, her countenance graced by a gentle smile.

Feeling a sense of reverence, the team silently observed the sleeping princess, wondering how to disturb her tranquil rest. They knew that their task was to awaken her gently, ensuring she would arise to a day filled with beauty and grace.

Unfortunately, it seems there was a slight miscommunication, and the formal decorum was momentarily forgotten. Without realizing the delicate nature of the situation, Yui hurriedly approached the princess, exclaiming, "Hey, Princess Aurianna, wake up!" Quickly, Yui even yanked the covers off her, abruptly rousing her from her peaceful slumber.

"Wake up! Wake up!" Yui urgently tugged at Aurianna’s arm and shook her vigorously, causing her to finally awaken, albeit in a rather startled manner. "Who dares disturb my precious sleep? Behead that fool at once!" she bellowed, still rubbing her groggy eyes in annoyance.

Reacting swiftly to their princess’s command, the maids present in the room immediately intervened, gently restraining Yui by gripping her arms.

"Princess, it’s me, Yui!" Yui’s voice cracked with emotion as she called out, desperately trying to get Aurianna’s attention. The princess slowly opened her eyes, greeted by the sight of Yui standing there, her eyes brimming with tears and a worried expression on her face. Aurianna’s brows furrowed in response, clearly displeased with being awakened.

"Let her go," Aurianna commanded, waving her hand dismissively. The maids promptly released their hold on Yui, allowing her to step back with a sigh of relief, grateful to be free from their grasp.

"Phew!" Yui breathed out, her tension melting away as she realized she was no longer restrained. However, her relief was short-lived as Aurianna’s next words echoed through the room.

"Now get lost and leave me to my much-needed slumber!" Aurianna snapped angrily, her frustration evident as she flopped back onto her bed, seemingly determined to reclaim the peace of sleep that had been so abruptly disturbed.

"Princess, you can’t just sleep through this! The Orc Express is arriving at the High Land today!" Yui exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement and a wide grin stretching across her face. She was clearly eager to attend the renowned trade market.

Aurianna stirred, her sleepy eyes blinking as she processed Yui’s words. "Ah, yes, the Orc Express trade market. It’s happening today," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes in an attempt to fully wake up and comprehend the situation.

Yui’s enthusiasm couldn’t be contained as she eagerly reminded Aurianna, "Exactly! And remember, you promised to come along with me!"

Aurianna let out a tired sigh, clearly yearning for more rest. "We’ll go, we’ll go later," she grumbled, giving in to Yui’s reminder. However, her desire for a few more precious moments of slumber seemed to prevail as she slumped back onto her bed, indicating her intentions to delay their departure.

Yui couldn’t contain her excitement as she leaned in towards Aurianna, eagerly sharing a tantalizing piece of information. "You know what, Princess? I’ve heard that the Orc Express brings some truly mouth-watering delicacies that you won’t find anywhere else in Sandeph! And the catch is, they sell out within three hours of the market opening," she revealed, her eyes shining with anticipation, hoping to pique Aurianna’s interest.

Aurianna’s attention was instantly diverted from her bed, her energy levels instantly revitalized by the prospect of delectable treats. Yui couldn’t help but giggle inwardly, satisfied that her bait had worked. The other maids in the room observed the interaction with a mix of silent admiration and nervousness, knowing that their tasks were about to become more urgent.

"Alright, what are we all waiting for?" Aurianna exclaimed with newfound enthusiasm. "Let’s help me get ready, and quickly!" Her command left no room for hesitation as she swiftly rose from her bed, ready to embrace the day’s adventures. Yui couldn’t help but grin, knowing that her strategy had successfully motivated the princess.

With a collective response of "Yes, Princess!" and a respectful bow, all the maids, including Yui, sprang into action, dispersing throughout Aurianna’s chamber to prepare her for the day ahead. Each maid knew their assigned duties, meticulously attending to every detail to ensure the princess looked nothing short of magnificent. Clothing was carefully selected, hairstyles were crafted with precision, and makeup was applied with the utmost skill.

After an arduous three-hour preparation process, Aurianna emerged from her chambers, adorned in a stunning aquamarine gown that gracefully enveloped her figure, leaving no trace of her shoes. Completing her ensemble, a charming red bonnet perched atop her head, adding a touch of cuteness to her overall aesthetic. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Stepping outside her magnificent mansion, Aurianna made her way toward the waiting carriage stationed conveniently at the entrance. As she walked, the sound of footsteps echoed behind her, prompting her to turn around and investigate. Her eyes flickered with a touch of indifference as she noticed a group of twenty individuals trailing behind her. Among them were her loyal golden knights, followed by Yui and several other servants.

"Remi, Jenna, Klark, Ronald," Aurianna called out, her voice tinged with curiosity. "Why are you all following me?" she inquired, genuinely interested in understanding their motives for joining her on this particular occasion.

Remi, the leader of the golden knights, stepped forward, respectfully addressing Aurianna. "Princess, we are here to ensure your safety and accompany you,"she explained, her tone reflecting a sense of duty and dedication.

Aurianna gazed up at Remi, a hint of defiance in her eyes, as she challenged the need for their protection. "Do I really look like I’m in need of your protection now?" she questioned, her tone laced with a touch of skepticism.

Remi met her gaze with unwavering determination. "Princess, even if you don’t require our protection in this very moment, it never hurts to exercise caution from time to time," he stated firmly, his commitment to her safety resolute. Aurianna couldn’t help but release a weary sigh, realizing the truth in Remi’s words.

Frustration tinged Aurianna’s voice as she addressed the assembled group. "But must all of you really come along?" she asked, her displeasure evident as she surveyed the number of individuals gathered before her.

Without missing a beat, they responded in unison, their voices filled with conviction. "Yes!" they chimed together, their unity reaffirming their commitment to accompany her.

Aurianna stood before Yui, her arms crossed and a hint of confusion evident in her expression. "And Yui, why are the rest of the maids and butlers following behind you?" she questioned, trying to understand the motive behind their presence.

Yui took a deep breath, ready to offer an explanation. "Well, Princess, since you’re going out to shop, it wouldn’t hurt to have some extra helping hands to carry your belongings," she replied, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. The other maids and butlers nodded in agreement, their gazes reflecting the same eager anticipation.

Aurianna shook her head, slightly exasperated. "But I have a space ring, so I don’t really need all of you to come along," she stated, emphasizing her self-sufficiency. The maids and butlers behind Yui visibly deflated, disappointment washing over their faces upon hearing her words.

Realizing the impact of her statement, Aurianna softened her tone. "However," she continued, "I appreciate your willingness to assist. So, I’ll allow only one of you to join me on this outing," she declared, her gaze shifting to the four golden knights standing nearby.

The knights exchanged intense glances, their eyes locked in a silent conversation. Each one silently vying for the opportunity to accompany the princess.

"But princess..." As Jenna began to protest, Aurianna swiftly raised her hand, silencing her. "No more arguments," she asserted firmly, her tone leaving no room for negotiation. "I have already made my decision. Only one of you may join me," she reiterated, her voice resolute.

Before anyone else could utter a word, Klark, unable to contain his excitement, blurted out, "Pick me! Pick me! I want to go!" His enthusiastic proclamation echoed through the air, leaving no doubt about his eagerness to accompany the princess. Aurianna nodded in response, acknowledging Klark’s enthusiasm.

"Very well Klark, you shall be the one to accompany me," Aurianna declared, her decision final. However, she couldn’t help but notice the dejected expressions on the faces of the other golden knights. Their sudden change in demeanor puzzled her, and she coudln’t fathom the reason behind it.
