S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill-Chapter 32: Debt - I’m Just a Support Capable of Fighting
Ryan expected the dungeon to be empty.
He had barely begun to enjoy its mysteries after receiving the strange reward from that scroll’s power—which dissipated following the mysterious demon’s attack.
"You probably didn’t expect to find demons here. You have terrible luck."
The demon lunged at him in the blink of an eye. In his hand, a short sword wreathed in scorching fire sliced through the air violently—one, three, seven thrusts.
Ryan could barely track the blade, dodging thrust after thrust thanks to the reflexes from his boosted Agility stats.
"S-shit, you guys really love surprise attacks, don’t you?"
"What, are you going to beg for your life?"
Without giving him a second to catch his breath, the demon spun on his axis and delivered a powerful kick, sending Ryan flying through the air until his back slammed violently against the dungeon’s stone wall.
"Ugh! That actually hurt. But you made a mistake. You’re just a Principality, and you’re here alone?"
"Are you trying to mock me even as you’re about to die?" He wore a smile full of confidence.
Ryan stood up, brushing off the dust. As he rose, his eyes locked onto the demon, analyzing every millimeter of his posture.
’If it hadn’t been for that scroll’s skill just now, I’d be dead already. I didn’t feel his presence until his blade was at my throat. That stealth skill is a real pain.’
The demon used stealth again to close in, but Ryan used his skill to detect him.
He dodged several attacks.
But the last one caught his thigh.
Ryan let out a short groan and sank to one knee on the floor. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The demon lunged again, convinced the human was on his last legs. However.
Ryan smiled.
"Recovery"
His body lit up, and his wounds vanished.
The demon, rushing toward him at high speed, looked shocked to see the injuries heal.
"How is that possible!" he muttered, but he was already too close, so he attacked with a powerful kick.
Ryan took advantage of the demon’s uncertainty while he was still filled with doubt.
Likely confused by Ryan’s class.
As the kick approached, Ryan didn’t back down.
"You got careless."
With a precise, technical movement, Ryan blocked the kick with his arm and hooked behind the demon’s neck. Taking the impact, he leaned as if to fall and used that momentum to sweep the demon’s legs, slamming him hard onto the ground.
"Agh..." the demon groaned.
Before he could rise, Ryan pinned him down and landed a heavy punch to his face.
The demon looked at him, stunned.
Ryan hit him five more times.
"I don’t understand... how were you able to heal yourself?! How do you have this strength?!"
The demon watched in shock.
Ryan grabbed him by the throat and threw him against the wall.
Ryan gave a cynical smile.
"Are you going to beg for your life now?"
"Who are you? There were only supposed to be four S-Rank heroes here..."
’Four? So they’ve been scouting us.’
"Ah, sorry. You think I’m S-Rank? I’m actually just Rank B."
"...So they sent a fifth S-Rank hero. We should have vetted this better."
’Even though I just told him I’m Rank B.’
Ryan crouched in front of the demon.
"But even with all that info, you sent such weak demons to seal this dungeon? I mean, those four S-Rank heroes must have turned your friends into paste by now."
"Ha..." The demon let out a short, dry laugh.
He spat blood and began to speak.
"You think you’ve won just because you beat me? You miserable human... Lord Lighter and Lord Solaris are inside the dungeon. Those S-Rank fools don’t stand a chance."
’So Solaris is here. If I remember right, he was an Archdemon... I guess Lighter is his brother.’
"And you think a simple Archdemon is enough to beat those powerful heroines?"
Cough, cough, cough
The demon began to cough.
"No... there’s no doubt the two of them will be enough. Lord Lighter’s level is close to the power of an Infernal, and Solaris isn’t far behind. But you must have noticed, right? That’s why we separated you."
"So they’re still in the dungeon? Or are they somewhere else?"
Ryan asked curiously. He remembered how teleport stones had sent him to the demon continent.
It would be a problem if his entire party had been sent that far away.
"Of course... they remain here, but on different floors."
"And what floor are Solaris and Lighter on?"
’Wherever they are, that’s where Helen and Mirian will be. But Karol was afraid to face Solaris. I hope she’s okay...’
"I don’t know. And even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you."
"I see. In any case, there’s no need to continue this conversation..."
Ryan stood up.
His gloves once again caught fire with intense heat.
The demon watched Ryan with curiosity.
"How interesting you are... At first, when you matched my speed, I thought your gloves meant you were a melee fighter. But besides that strength... you were able to heal. How is it possible for a fighter to have healing skills?"
Ryan smiled.
"So your final words... are just a question?"
"Don’t answer if you don’t want to. I accepted my fate to fight and die in battle under Lord Lighter’s orders."
’I’ll admit, those are pretty cool words coming from a demon.’
"Fine. I’ll do you the favor of answering before I kill you."
Ryan pulled his arm back, gathering momentum.
He clenched his fist as the flames condensed.
The demon kept watching; despite being on the verge of death, he maintained the smile of someone who had fulfilled their mission and no longer cared about anything else.
The atmosphere became charged with the piercing aura of energy Ryan radiated as he stood on the verge of slamming his flame-shrouded fist into the dying demon.
"What you said is wrong. I’m not a fighter capable of healing myself. I’m just a Rank B support who’s capable of fighting."
