Chapter 61: Almost Turned into a Sieve

Su Yijia had received instructions and warnings from Qin Kaize and Gao Huabin for quite some time before she finally shouldered her small bag and left the house. She walked for about three to four minutes, and Gao Huabin glanced at Qin Kaize. After receiving clear orders, he quietly pushed open the door and followed her.

On the second floor, Qin’s mother saw their actions and immediately went back to their room to boast to Qin’s father.

"See, they pretend to be so good to that Su Yijia, but in reality, they don’t trust her at all. Only she would foolishly think that having someone back her up means she can do whatever she wants."

Qin’s father exhaled smoke, a hint of malice on his face. "She’s just naive! Who doesn’t know that no woman wants to be with a paralyzed man who can’t perform, can’t even have children? Is she still a complete woman for the rest of her life?"

"What about us?" Qin’s mother tentatively asked.

Qin’s father narrowed his eyes and nodded heavily. "Yes, go find my two nephews. How can one man alone represent her promiscuity?"

"How about I also call my nephews?" Qin’s mother immediately suggested.

But she was met with a fierce glare from Qin’s father. "Whose child will she be bearing then? Qin Kaize’s money and treasures belong to the Qin family, even in death. Do you want to share them with your family?"

What’s wrong with sharing a little bit?!

Qin’s mother muttered to herself in her heart but didn’t dare to say it out loud. She could only obediently admit her mistake. "Alright, it’s my fault! Don’t be angry anymore. I’ll go to your brother’s house now and find your two nephews."

In order to let those people catch up, Su Yijia didn’t even ride her bicycle, instead, she hurried to the bus stop under the scorching sun of around 35-36 degrees Celsius. After she got on the bus and moved towards the back, she noticed a man rushing to catch up with her. Although they were strangers, she recognized him as the man who had put something in her shoulder bag.

Su Yijia stood near the exit door at the rear of the bus and, from the corner of her eye, saw the man weave his way through the crowded passengers to approach her. Following him were two men and one woman, and they seemed to be colleagues from a factory. They chatted and laughed as they moved closer to Su Yijia.

As the man got uncomfortably close to her, Su Yijia turned around and glared at him with a stern expression. She didn’t hold back her words:

"What are you doing, sticking so close to me? Are you trying to harass me?"

She scolded loudly, capturing the attention of all the passengers on the bus. The man quickly put the item he had taken back into his pocket and raised his hands innocently.

"Lady, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s just that this bus is so crowded, and I accidentally bumped into you."

"Hmph! Shameless!" Su Yijia sneered and moved away from him. She made sure the man couldn’t reach her even if he extended his arm, and then she breathed a sigh of relief. She had lowered her gaze a moment ago, only to notice a glint of cold steel, which had almost scared her. While she intended to apprehend someone, she had no desire to end up as a sieve.

The bus continued to sway and rattle along its route, and the man tried several times to get closer to Su Yijia. However, his efforts were futile as other passengers on the bus kept a watchful eye on him as if they were waiting for him to confirm the accusation of being a pervert.

The man was infuriated but decided not to make any more trouble. It was only when the bus stopped across from the traditional Chinese medicine shop, and a dozen or so people got off together, that he finally left as well.
