Roadmap to the Boundless Sky-Chapter 76Book 3, : Attached
Chen Chuan arrived in front of the hut, took out the key, opened the door, and went straight inside.
There wasn’t any furniture within, but there was a person bound head to toe lying on the floor. His mouth was covered in tape.
The man appeared to be in his fifties and had thinning hair. His glasses had fallen to the side. When he saw Chen Chuan getting closer, he immediately began squirming and struggling while whimpering.
Chen Chuan walked over, picked up the glasses, put them on for him, and said calmly, “Calm down, Mr. Feng. You’ll be free soon.”
Fear shone in Feng Gai’s eyes, and he started struggling desperately, as if he was begging Chen Chuan for mercy.
But Chen Chuan wasn’t going to spare him. Feng Gai was an implant surgeon with unique kinks. He believed that a person’s organs and bones had a special aesthetic that could be refined, so he had built a human farm in his clinic.
He abducted people from the lower city district to keep them in his farm and breed them.
Once in a while, he would remove their tissue and organs with immense pleasure.
In order to make sure the tissue remained alive and to satisfy his own desires, he kept his victims alive through medicine and hypnosis, so they remained wide awake and saw everything Then, he would even use a unique bio-membrane to wrap up the organs up so they would gain a crystalline effect and put them in his display room.
People had complained about him to the City Patrol, and Feng Gai had been arrested multiple times, but due to his connections with the middle- and upper-class, he was always able to escape judgment with his lawyers’ help. At most, he just needed to pay a small fine.
Not too long ago, he had even organized a “crystal organ exhibition” and invited a group of people over to admire his “collection.”
Chen Chuan had learned about Feng Gai from niche channels. Even though they were usually trustworthy, he still went to check the truth of the situation himself. Once he was sure that all the stories were true, he decided to sacrifice Feng Gai to the raccoon.
This time, he had asked Wu Bei to make Feng Gai and his security guards’ Realm Passes go down and even interfere with the domain exchange between the security guards, so he could extract Feng Gai without much issue.
Feng Gai was trying his hardest to say something, but Chen Chuan had no interest in listening to him pleading for mercy while offering money. It was either this, or something along the lines. But since his mouth was taped, all that came out was garbled, incomprehensible sounds.
Chen Chuan didn’t say anything to him and just picked him up with one hand before heading out of the hut.
Then, he opened the trunk, put Feng Gai inside, and tossed the raccoon stone plate on him after retrieving it from his pocket. Once he was done, he slowly shut the trunk closed.
With that done, Chen Chuan returned to the driver seat. While he was fastening his seat belt, he called Gao Ming and Wu Bei one last time before leaving the city. Then, he started the car and drove outside.
***
Feng Gai was surrounded by darkness. At this point, he knew that Chen Chuan was about to kill him, but he didn’t know where he was taking him to do it. Panic and fear of the unknown bloomed in his heart.
But soon, he could no longer think of it, because his eyes flew wide open, and he started screaming shrilly. Even though his mouth had been taped shut, the pain made him scream loudly.
He could feel something crawling into his stomach and gnawing at him with abandon. Since Feng Gai was an implant surgeon, he could tell with pinpoint accuracy just which parts were being eaten. This added to his torment and made him fight back against his bonds with crazed fervor.
As he rolled around, squirming and struggling so desperately that he almost knocked the trunk open, soon, a large puddle of liquid appeared under him.
Chen Chuan could hear the movement in the trunk, but he ignored it. Soon, he drove out of Central City and chose the westbound public road. After around ten minutes, he no longer heard anything from the trunk.
He parked his car by the road and got out to go to the trunk. Once he opened it, Feng Gai was already dead. His face was twisted, and his eyes were wide open.
But no injuries could be seen on his body, because all of them were within. His brain, organs, and muscles were all eaten. His limbs and torso had shriveled up. Only his skin and bones remained perfectly intact.
In the end, Feng Gai became a piece of art he always admired.
Chen Chuan retrieved the stone tablet and checked his watch. United Might’s motorcade had set out almost forty minutes ago. If they moved at a standard speed, they would need another twenty minutes to leave the raccoon’s attack range. It was time for Chen Chuan to attack.
He placed the stone tablet in front of him and rapped it with his knuckles.
When Phantom Form sent the raccoon to attack, he needed to kowtow to it, because when he activated the ritual, he became part of the offering. In other words, he held a lower position in the ritual. Chen Chuan was different. All he needed to do was request the raccoon to carry out its part.
Once he rapped his knuckles against the stone tablet, it trembled a bit, and Chen Chuan saw clear signs of blurring out on his second self.
He turned his gaze to the public road. The ritual was in effect.

Zhao Qian sat in his car while communicating with the security guards through his Realm Pass. For almost half a year, he hadn’t been able to participate in any of the company’s operations, and he needed to remind everyone of his existence.
During the seasonal review, the security guards had to fill out an opinion form about their superiors, though most of the time, their opinions weren’t important. What was important was the top management’s attitude.
But Zhao Qian still wanted to win the guards over to his side so that he wouldn’t end up as the least popular person in the company, and it would give his competitors one less reason to attack him.
After finishing his conversation with the main security guards, he checked his watch. It had been less than an hour since they left. Judging by the situation, everything was going smoothly.
He then asked his assistant to open the compartment box and pour him a glass of Alcoholic Blood. He wanted a boost of energy, but the moment the drink entered his mouth, a sharp, searing pain came from within his body.
He grunted, and the hand around the glass trembled, causing the liquid to spill on his clothes.
He covered his mouth, but the red liquid also spilled out from between his fingers. For a time, he couldn’t tell whether it was blood or the drink.
As the pain grew, his eyes flew open, and his eyelids started twitching. His body began to tremble. He could tell that an invisible thing was eating away at his mutated tissue and organs with gluttonous fervor.
His assistant could sense that something was wrong with him. He had never seen Zhao Qian in such pain before, so he asked in a panic, “Mr. Zhao, are you... feeling sick?”
Zhao Qian didn’t know what was going on. In an instant, he thought of plenty of possibilities. As a Third Limit martial artist, he was able to retain clarity of mind even after being attacked in such a manner. “Calm down. Give me the emergency medicine,” he whispered.
“Oh. Got it.”
The assistant quickly retrieved a medicine box from another compartment box. Zhao Qian took a few green pills from it and took them along with the remaining half a glass of Alcoholic Blood.
This was emergency treatment medicine from Green Satchel Pharmacy for martial artists, and it was the best in the market. Zhao Qian would even go out to say that their medicine was better than that of Tiancong Baicao in this regard. It could stimulate his life force and make his mutated tissue regrow while also healing his wounds.
With his abilities as a Third Limit martial artist, he just needed to tough it out and get a sufficient supply of nutrients to recover and regrow all of his missing parts.
But to his surprise, the medicine only seemed to make that invisible force even more excited. It stopped eating his other organs and started tackling the rapidly growing mutated tissue and organs to torment him.
Zhao Qian’s face turned pale, and his body started shivering uncontrollably. At this point, he realized that something was horribly wrong, and if this situation continued, he might die.
“Bring Mr. Chi here, but don’t cause a scene,” he whispered to his assistant.
“Got it.” The assistant quickly contacted Chi Duan through his Realm Pass.
Soon, a car came over and drove next to Zhao Qian’s car. The person inside wound down the window, and Zhao Qian, too, wound down to show his face.
Chi Duan was shocked.
Zhao Qian’s breathing was really weak, even though Third Limit martial artists were supposed to be really tenacious. This meant that the situation was truly bad.
And that was the truth. The raccoon had dealt a severe blow to Zhao Qian. In an instant, it had eaten half of his organs and mutated tissue. If it were not for the fact that Third Limit martial artists had two sets of organs, Zhao Qian would have already died. Even so, if he hadn’t taken the green pills, he wouldn’t even have the strength to speak. Right now, he was just pushing himself to stay conscious.
“What happened, Mr. Zhao?” Chi Duan asked.
“I think someone is attacking me, but I don’t know how they’re doing it. Still, I won’t be able to continue the mission. I have to go back to Central City for treatment,” Zhao Qian said.
“Do you need the motorcade to go back with you?” Chi Duan asked.
“That’s not possible. I can only go back by myself, but I believe that this isn’t the only step in my attacker’s plan. I might run into further trouble on the way back, so I need you to send me back,” Zhao Qian said calmly.
“Of course,” Chi Duan answered without hesitation. He was only responsible for Zhao Qian’s safety. The motorcade’s mission had nothing to do with him.
Zhao Qian then ordered his assistant, “Go and tell Peregrine Falcon about it.”
The assistant quickly contacted the security guard captain. Once the call went through, he said, “Mr. Zhao suddenly fell ill. We believe someone poisoned him. He needs to go back to Central City for treatment.”
Peregrine Falcon’s stern voice came through. “If Mr. Zhao is sick, he can leave the motorcade and drive back.”
The company had meticulously planned the route and time of the escort mission, so they wouldn’t go back because of one person. Besides, Zhao Qian was the one with the problem. He couldn’t make the entire team responsible for his safety.
“We need Mr. Zhao’s security team to leave with us,” the assistant said anxiously.
“Sorry, but you can’t take them with you,” Peregrine Falcon said in his usual emotionless voice.
