79 Yvonne’s Skill

When Raphael heard Serena, his eyebrows furrowed, and he couldn’t help but walk towards the window.

The instant Raphael got to the window, and he saw what was occurring outside the building, his mouth opened slightly, and a dumbfounded look appeared on his face immediately.

Seeing the expression on Raphael’s face, Serena’s lips soon curved into a smile, “Impressive isn’t it.” Serena muttered with the smile on her face widening.

“You’re already this stunned by this, wait until you get to year 2. I’m certain your mind would be blown away,” Serena said.

“What is it?” f𝘳𝚎𝐞we𝐛𝑛𝐨𝘃e𝘭.co𝘮

The moment that voice rang out from behind Serena and Raphael, the expression on both of their faces turned grim right away. The smile which was on Serena’s face earlier turned into a frown quickly, and as for Raphael, he drew the curtain and turned around.

Yvonne was about to head towards the window when Raphael drew the curtain and turned towards her. And seeing the look that was on Raphael and Serena’s faces, Yvonne’s eyes squinted.

“What are the both of you trying to hide from me?” Yvonne asked with a bewildered look on her face.

Serena shook her head, “it’s nothing.” Serena responded.

.....

Clearly, Yvonne wasn’t buying that as she folded her hands across her chest and glared at Raphael and Serena. “I’m certain the both of you are hiding something. So, what is it?” Yvonne inquired.

Raphael was about to speak when the door was open, and four figures walked into the room. Seeing the four that had just appeared, Raphael drew a deep breath.

“Wheew... That was so close! Raphael, you have to come to see what’s going on outside.” The four that had just entered the room were none other than Devon, Aiden, Bane, and Camille.

After Aiden spoke, the room was complete silence, and as the four of them saw Yvonne, they bowed their head gently.

It soon became awkward as no one in the room spoke, they were simply staring at one another. And it was only after Serena bumped Raphael on the shoulder, that he heaved a deep breath and moved forward.

“Mom, these are my friends, Devon, Aiden, Bane, and Camille,” Raphael pointed toward each of them as he spoke. “The four of you, this is my mother, Yvonne Queen.”

Raphael took a step back after he had introduced them.

“It’s a pleasure meeting you, Yvonne.” As Raphael took a step backward, Bane took a step forward. He then gently held Yvonne’s hand, pecking it, “Is it a miss or a Mrs?” Bane asked with a smile on his face.

Bane’s action certainly left everyone in the room stupefied, most especially Raphael, as his eyes twitched. Raphael shook his head, before then resting his back gently on the wall.

“Really? You’re not going to do anything about this?” Serena asked when she saw how relaxed Raphael appeared.

And in response, Raphael shrugged his shoulder. He didn’t seem to be a bit concerned about what was occurring in front of him.

Yvonne flashed a smile as she stared at Bane, “You’re a cute boy, but it’s Mrs.” Yvonne responded.

Bane nodded his head, he let go of Yvonne’s hand and said, “Now I see where Raphael’s got his elegance from. Yvonne has anyone told you that your beauty simply puts all women out there to shame.”

“When compared to you, the rest of them seem like garbage, to be honest.” There was a seductive smile on Bane’s face as he spoke to Yvonne.

While Bane’s action was indeed alarming, everyone in the room had to admit that he wasn’t wrong. Yvonne was a very attractive woman, and if Raphael hadn’t introduced her as his mother earlier, they would have assumed she was his sister due to the striking resemblance.

“Your beauty...” Bane wanted to speak when he was interrupted by Yvonne.

With her hands folded across her chest, Yvonne said, “Why do you feel the need to court any woman you come across? I’m certain this isn’t the first time, this sort of thing is happening, isn’t it.”

“What do you...” It was just like earlier, Bane wanted to speak, but he was soon interrupted by Yvonne who waved a hand at him.

“Let me guess, you were never loved as a child, or even as an adult,” Yvonne said as she began to circle Bane. “And judging from your reaction, I’m not wrong.”

“The next clue should be that you once had your heart crushed, rocked, destroyed, cheated on, or something perhaps by one girl, and you promise to never give it up again. So, instead, you go all about courting different women, wanting to make them feel the same pain, you once experienced, am I right?”

Suddenly, Yvonne shook her head. “No, that isn’t it. The truth is none of that happened. You’ve never had your heart broken by any woman before, and this womanizing act of yours is something you got from your father.”

As Bane heard Yvonne, his mouth opened slightly. He wanted to speak, but he wasn’t able to get any words out of his mouth, regardless of how he tried.

“You come from a polygamous family. Your father married many wives and your mother...” Yvonne paused, she stood still, staring at Bane for a few seconds before saying, “She considered you to be a mistake.”

“She often called you names, and never hid her discontent from you. Your father’s act of debauchery made you see women as tools, and your mother’s behavior makes you loathe them.”

Bane staggered several steps backward when he heard Yvonne, and beads of sweat could be seen all over his forehead. As he stared at Yvonne, his body shook, and his mouth opened so wide that an egg could fit inside.

“How...” Bane pointed his index finger at Yvonne, seemingly shocked by all that he had just heard from her.

Camille suddenly moved closer to Aiden, “Is everything she said true?” Camille asked.

It wasn’t then up to five seconds after she spoke and Aiden nodded his head consecutively. “Yes, it’s all true,” Aiden muttered with a flabbergasted look on his face.

For some reason, a smile appeared on Camille’s face when she heard Aiden. She then stared at Yvonne and her eyes flickered with interest present in them.

“It’s no wonder why you were relaxed. You already knew it was going to end this way.” Serena shook her head, as he recalled how unbothered Raphael was earlier.

“How many times has she been courted by someone in front of you?” Serena couldn’t help but ask.

“I have lost count,” Raphael responded as he stared at his mother.

Yvonne appeared in front of Bane, who was still dumbstruck, “If you ever come to Dale city, feel free to visit. I’m certain we can figure out a way to deal with this behavior of yours.” Yvonne said.

Bane’s eyes twitched, he then slowly turned towards Raphael, before heading to the chair in the room. As he sat on the chair, Bane lowered his head and heaved a deep breath.

“Devon isn’t it.” Yvonne pointed her hand towards Devon as she spoke.

Yvonne was about to speak when Devon began walking towards the door. Devon didn’t waste any time, and once he got to the door, he opened it and stepped out immediately.

“Hahaha hahaha!” Aiden burst into laughter when he saw Devon leave the room. However, it wasn’t up to five seconds, and he quickly sealed his lips as Yvonne shifted her gaze to him.

CREAK!

As the door was pushed open, a man wearing a surgical robe walked into the room. “Lady Serena, the director is asking of you.” It was the same man that Serena had spoken with earlier that appeared.

Serena nodded her head when she heard the man. She had only then taken a step forward when the man’s voice rang out.

“He also asked you to come with the woman you brought in.” The man said.

The expression on Serena’s face changed quickly. She glanced at Raphael, “The director must want to see her, since we do not bring outsiders into the academy, especially inside the research and support block.”

Seeing Raphael was about to move, Serena shook her head, “It’s fine. You should trust me with this.” Serena muttered.

Raphael stared at Yvonne, before moving his gaze back to Serena and nodding his head.

“Yvonne, there’s someone who wants to see the both of us. Let’s go.” With that said, and Yvonne and Serena left the room.

A second after Yvonne and Serena left the room, Raphael, Aiden, and Camille had eyes fixed on Bane. It was only after a few minutes that they shifted their gaze away from him and Raphael opened the curtains.

“Which division is this?” Raphael asked as he stared at the outside of the research and support building, which was now dyed in blood.

Aiden and Camille moved towards the window, “The bandit and the norms division.” Aiden responded. “I didn’t expect them to be the first to go into war. I always assumed it was going to be the assassins and murderer divisions.”

“Me too,” Camille muttered.

“Who is that?” Raphael inquired.

When Camille and Aiden heard Raphael, they stared in the direction his hand was pointing at and as they saw the person, a smile appeared on Camille’s face. As for Aiden, he shook his head, and a light frown appeared on him.

“The number one student in the bandit division, Victor Silverman aka killshot.”
