Rise of the Crusader-Chapter 254 The Shop Opening
"Did you hear, Raphael has invited everyone, both beasts and humans in the city to come to the opening of his shop."
"He is offering fifty humans and beasts one free gadget."
"Then what are we still waiting for, let's go there now!"
There was movement in the city as once the news spread out, both beasts and humans rushed to the shop. Whether it was the academy or New Age city, there was barely anyone who hadn't heard about Raphael's gadget.
In the academy mall, his gadget cost a fortune, but those who had used it had praised him continuously. A gadget that was capable of turning the table during any stage of a fight was priceless. So hearing those gadgets would be given out for free everyone wanted it.
As for the beast in the city, they had experienced the might of the gadget and even though they had yet to be a beast with one of his gadgets, they didn't doubt what Raphael was capable of creating in the slightest.
Everyone hurried to the shop, no one wanted to miss out on the chance of obtaining one of Raphael's gadgets for free.
"Why isn't anyone going in?" A young man asked as he arrived a few meters away from the building.
He stared at the owl that was standing in front of the building and then moved his gaze to the surrounding. He had already been shocked when he saw the number of beasts and humans from afar, but as he got closer, he realized the numbers even exceeded what he saw.
It was rare to see both beasts and humans in this close contact without a fight or conflict breaking out. Everyone seemed to have let go of their deep hatred for one another as they stood in front of the building.
"Has anyone gone inside yet?" The young man couldn't help but ask. It had been a few minutes since he arrived, and yet no one took a step closer to the building.
They seem rather scared to move closer to the building.
"No one has gone in yet." Someone in the crowd responded.
"Why? It can't be that everyone here is scared."
He had only just spoken when the eyes of everyone in the area were fixed on his body. He gulped and then flashed a rough smile at the people glaring at him.
The glares only lasted for a moment, before they moved their gaze back to the building in front of them.
"Speak softly."
A firm nod came from the young man, he had already learned his mistake from those glares, and even if he was paid to, he wouldn't speak at that volume again.
"But why isn't anyone entering the building, it was Raphael who invited us to his opening. So, why is everyone standing here when we should be running there." He said in a soft tone.
"It seems you didn't hear about what happened."
"Raphael fought with one of the strongest beasts in this region, and not only did he defeat the beast, but he also obliterated every part of his body from the world. Not even his ashes were left. And all this was with a single punch."
"Even though he was the one who invited us here, we are still scared that he might choose to do something crazy. If he should unleash his absolute decay, none of us would survive."
The young man's mouth opened slightly, he had been on the sick bed these past few days, so he wasn't aware of some of the things that occurred. The reason why he made his way here was that he saw a group of people running towards this area and loudly praying they weren't too late for the gadget Raphael was giving out for fifty people.
"I'm sure he won't." He said with a look of certainty on his face.
The face of the man beside lit and he said. "Then why don't you go in first, we will follow your lead once you're in."
The young man gulped, he could naturally tell how dire the situation would be if Raphael were to use his absolute decay. He found it absurd that someone would invite both beasts and humans to the shop just to kill them.
While Raphael has been said to be a lunatic in the academy, there was still some limit to it right? The young man pondered whether or not he should walk to the building.
"Look, someone is going!"
Among the beasts and humans in front of the building, the person who walked towards the building was a slender, pale-skinned woman wearing a tattered top and pants. A part of her lady assert was in the reveal and her body was in a disoriented state.
It seemed as though she was going to break down anytime yet at the same time, there was resolve and determination on her face. She had gone through hell these past few days, and whether she lived or not didn't really matter.
While others were scared for their lives, she had nothing to lose in this situation. She could either get a life-changing gadget or die and for someone who had moved back and forth through the gates of hell, she was unfazed by the threat of the absolute decay.
"Where is Raphael, I'm here for the gadget." She spoke in a trembling tone as she arrived in front of Gus. 𝚋𝚎𝚍𝚗o𝚟𝚎𝚕.org
Gus seized the woman from head to toe, and it couldn't help but wonder how she was still standing on her feet. Merely from the blood that bled out of her as she stood, Gus felt she should have died a long time ago.
"You have less than an hour, and you would die, what use will have the gadget be for you?" Gus asked.
"…."
"An hour," She muttered and then chuckled. The expression on her face became cold and she said. "That is more than enough time to kill the one that harmed me."
"You choose to seek revenge during your last breath," Gus said.
"I like that!" Gus exclaimed, nodding his head.
"I'm in a good mood and considering that you're the first person to walk up here among this cowards, not only will I help you kill that person, I will always give you a chance to live," Gus said.
