Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer-Chapter 1742: Dance
Sky looked at the tower and then at Habi.
He tried to poke at the formation. But he couldn't destroy it instantly.
Habi touched it and was able to walk through it though. He looked at Sky and said.
"It seems like a cultivation restriction. I will be fine. You can go ahead, please. Thank you so much for bringing me here." He bowed to sky.
Even though Sky is a beast, he is a senior of the Dusk organization. All of Sam's beasts are actually part of the hierarchy and are noted to have the same status as Sam's friends. It is already great enough that he managed to get a ride on Sky even if it is just for a few minutes. It felt like an honor.
Sky looked at the tower one last time and nodded at Habi before leaving.
Habi entered the tower without any restrictions. As soon as he entered the first floor a lot of low-level members of the clan, the people who are considered low-level even among the youngsters are actually standing there.
It is their protocol. The weakest clan members act as fodder as they will be the ones to first tackle incoming troops. Habi looked at them as he held the executioner blade in his hands.
"Where is Rani?"
The youngsters didn't answer him.
"How is this guy still alive? Isnt he supposed to be dead? Why didn't the poison work?"
"Clan leader even said that it is directly from the gods. There shouldn't be any problem with it. But why is this guy still alive? And how did he come into the clan grounds?"
Habi looked at them speaking and asked one more time.
"Where is Rani?"
"Like we are going to tell you, you should have just died silently you bastard."
The guy made a move and Habi didn't bother asking anymore questions. He directly made his move as well. The executioner sword glowed with a weird purple and green hue as he sliced through the opponent's blade and the flesh. He took the arm off of that guy and the next moment, the rest of the body is being corrupted with poison from that cut.
Habi felt like a whole new person as he looked at the body rotting at a rapid pace. The poison seemed to be affecting, the body, blood, mind, and even the spiritual energy.
He felt like this newfound power has increased his strength by a lot and when he looked at his victim collapsing in a matter of seconds, he didn't feel any joy or pity for him.
Rather he felt more turmoil. His thirst for the blood of these people, the blood of these clan members just kept on increasing as he looked at how powerless they are.
Because he felt more humiliated. To think that he was toyed by someone who is that powerless and useless against his blade. To think he is humiliated beyond belief in the hands of someone so weak under his blade is something that he couldn't digest easily.
It made him angrier with every breath he took and he wanted to stop these people from breathing.
At that moment, the fodder of the clan saw Habi dance through them with his sword. Even when the whole room of people is sliced down, it seemed like it happened in one single motion. It is like the most graceful dance they have ever witnessed and they died after witnessing it.
The floor was cleaned off within a few minutes. Only a couple of people managed to escape and went up to inform others.
On the higher floors, many people are still in their quarters, some gathered together to wait out whatever emergency came on to them.
Habi knocked on each of these doors and kept on killing them. He only asked them one question before killing them off. Only have one question.
"Where is Rani?"
And almost every time there is no answer. They just died.
As he went through one floor after another, he slowly reached the top floor.
Outside of the room, there are two people acting as guards. Those two are actually the fodder from the ground floor.
When Habi arrived with the sword in his hand, blood slightly dripping from its edge, he looked like the manifestation of death itself.
His whole body is reeking of blood with some of it splashed all over his face and body.
"I feel that my buddy is inside, I take it that Rani is also inside. You could have answered this since the start and saved over a hundred lives. Why bother inflicting so much pain on your own kin."
With one smooth motion, a sword ray cut off the heads of the two guards while slicing the door horizontally at the same time.
The wooden door started rotting, and within a couple of seconds, it collapsed completely.
Inside the room, there are ten people standing. One of them is the woman who Habi couldn't forget in the last few days while enduring that torture.
In the middle of all of it, there is the porcupine. Tied up, injured, bleeding.
He felt heartbroken. The small beast that is not even as big as an adult human is tied up hanging in the air with all four limbs tied up.
Everyone looked at Habi and felt the killing intent he is carrying along.
He ignored them completely and walked towards the beast.
"I am sorry buddy. I was blinded. I shouldn't have let you go with her. Because of me, you are suffering so much."
He swung his blade to cut the chains off.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing here?"
One of the young masters yelled.
They didn't understand how Habi managed to come back, but there is no way they could let him just take this beast away. This is what they are striving for, for so long.
Rani looked at Habi, who is just ignoring them. The beast was freed finally and he is about to store it away in his beast pouch.
"Kill him. We can't let the beast getaway. That will change the fate of our clan. We need that beast no matter the cost."
But right before she could even finish her words, Habi already made his move.
*KEEN*
The sword keenly filled the air as it went straight through the heart of his first target.
He twisted the blade and pulled it back. The young master collapsed to the ground as his body started rotting away. He didn't lose momentum and started killing other members as well.
One strike, one life. He once again danced with the blade and killed nine of the ten in an instant.
Only Rani is standing there in the room.
She looked at Habi with an aggrieved expression.
"Why?"
She asked in a sobbing tone.
"What do you mean why?"
"If you had really loved me, you should have just let me be. You could have just given up the beast. Why can't you do that for me? Why is a beast so important to you than the person you loved?
Is that all just talk?"
Habi raised his eyebrow a bit as he walked towards her.
"Are you really asking me this question, Rani? You tried to kill me with a deadly poison. All for the sake of my beast? A beast that grew up with me like my brother. The beast I entrusted your life to. But you tried to use him as a stepping stone to fulfill your fantasies.
Why did you do that? I truly loved you, you know. I loved you very much. I loved you with all of my heart."
*STAB*
Habi felt a knife going through his abdomen. But this time, he is a bit prepared and didn't let it impregnate him completely.
He stopped as soon as it hit the outer layers of his skin.
"You never change do you."
Rani looked at him while crying tears.
"I deserve this. Just because I am a woman, shouldn't I have any ambitions? Why did these bastards, my brothers have everything handed to them? Why should I have to work harder than anyone else? Why?
Even you, the person who said will give up their life to me, just backstabbed me for the sake of a stupid beast.
Can't you understand? That beast could have changed my life. I could have been something. My life could have meant something. Why do you claim that you love me, but are determined to take this away from me? Why?
Why can't you give it up? Why can't you just stay dead and leave the beast for me? Why do you have to come back from death's door to stomp on my dreams."
She tried to stab him again as she went off the rails with her words.
But Habi didn't let that happen again. He twisted their arm a bit and let the knife out of her hand.
He stabbed the sword on the floor while he gripped her hair forcefully and pulled it closer to his face.
He looked at her crying eyes and felt a small tinge of pain in his heart.
