Chapter 145: Chapter 145: No Fear of Extreme Cold

He had indeed noticed all the details Leng Pan had mentioned but he hadn’t expected them to be so important in distinguishing between human children and zombies.

"Don’t take it as if only children have that ability. If adult zombies become stronger, they could also create illusions of having healthy skin like that of humans. If you only base identifying zombies on their rotten flesh, you might have a problem in the future when the zombies become stronger.

But even so, I don’t think that their thirst for blood and eating human flesh can change, so, be careful. I also think that even if they know how to hide their human flesh, there will always be clues. You just have to be careful." Leng Pan continued to explain hoping that the information will be of some significance to her family.

The others didn’t dare to take her words lightly and kept everything she said in mind. Although they didn’t know how they would be able to tell the difference between a zombie that had taken a human form and a real human, they still chose to be careful when meeting new people in the future.

While talking about the fight, everyone felt that they had rested enough and decided to proceed into the factory. During the fight, most of the zombies had been drawn to their location by the noise and the smell of blood.

As such, the final attack of mist and fire needles had taken out almost all the zombies.

"Why don’t we collect the crystal cores first before going to look for the fabric and materials we need? That way, once we get what we need, we can leave straight away instead of coming here to stop again and collect our spoils of war." Leng Pan suggested and everyone felt that it made sense so they all got out of the truck with a thin layer of mist covering them.

They had gloves in their hands to prevent them from touching the brain matter of the zombies directly with their hands when collecting the crystal cores.

They started collecting the crystals while Lu Zhen used fire needles to kill any zombie that appeared.

Within twenty minutes, they had collected everything. Thus, they went back into the cars. This time, Uncle Li drove the truck and inside were his wife, his sister, and youngest nephew. Lu Zhen and Leng Pan followed behind them in the other car.

With his X-ray vision, Lu Tao spared the family from mindless searching as he immediately scanned the area and located the warehouse that had all kinds of materials.

They drove straight to the warehouse and lucky for them, it was loaded with fabrics and other materials.

In fact, the warehouse was divided into two sections where one of the sections held finished products while the other had raw materials for making down jackets, coats, blankets, duvets, and so on.

Instead of going to the area with finished products, the few of them went to the section with raw materials and began to inspect them.

"Do you think feathers are better to provide warmth or are fleece and wool better?" Li Yunjia asked her sister-in-law who was inspecting the quality of feathers used in pillows with her.

"I think for our needs, wool is better. It is just as light as the feathers but we can put more in each piece of cloth since it’s easier to compress. I believe it would be warmer wearing clothes made of wool than the other materials. But if we can take more, it would be good, we never know what will happen in the future. Especially since such materials wouldn’t be produced anymore." Aunt Li said somehow feeling sad for the civilization that had disappeared with the arrival of the apocalypse.

Leng Pan also heard what her aunt said and felt that she should not only focus on readymade clothes. She had decided to remain behind with the excuse of examining the finished products to see if there was anything they could come back to take in the future and instead put them in her space.

But now after hearing from her aunt, she decided to take the raw materials as well. It is true that they don’t know what will happen in the future and these materials might come in handy.

What if another wave of extreme cold came back after using what they made to survive the first one? They had no knowledge of the future as the plot that Leng Pan was aware of had changed completely.

Therefore, the family chose the materials they would use, including wool to stuff in down jackets and duvets. They also took heavy fleece materials to make hats, gloves, and socks.

If they changed the design and attached two pieces of the fleece material together with the center filled with wool or feathers, they could make even warmer socks and gloves.

They carried the materials to the trucks and soon it was full.

After the others had gotten into the car, Leng Pan and Lu Zhen gave some excuse about checking to see if there was something else to take and they could come back in the future then went back into the warehouse.

The elders understood that they wanted to be alone and didn’t follow them. Lu Tao also knew better and didn’t use his superpowers to eavesdrop or look.

Therefore, when Leng Pan and her husband went back into the warehouse, they were completely alone.

"How much do you want to take?" Lu Zhen asked as he looked at the large warehouse filled with all types of products.

"I should take the majority of the products here. I doubt many people will think about this place even when the extreme cold comes. Many would probably just run to the malls to get down jackets and electric blankets there. freewёbnoνel-com

I also want to take to raw materials so that we can make our own things in the future depending on our needs. What do you think of that?" Leng Pan replied to her husband and also asked for his opinion.

Aft all, the two of them would walk this journey together to the end
