Chapter 68: OPHELIA

Seeing that Damon was frowning a bit Amelia decided to let it go, "Okay I won’t talk about anyone again." She murmured into his chest, "Good girl." Damon said lifting her chin up and planting a kiss on his lips.

"Ehem." Someone cleared her throat, Damon looked up with a sharp glare wondering who it was and how they were found, he had make sure to put a veil over the island to prevent disturbance and external entry, the veil only recognizes him and his aura and it’s not supposed to let anyone in.

"Sorry to interrupt." A girl said nonchalantly, she had long blonde hair that reached her waist and she was a crop top paired together with crazy jeans, Amelia looked at the girl and at Damon wondering if they knew each other because she was sure she didn’t.

"How did you get in here?" Damon asked with a cold voice stunning Amelia, she could feel the deadly aura seeping out from his body, he was ready to attack and go for the kill.

"Sheesh, just because I changed my body does not mean you would forget me so easily it’s body racism, besides it isn’t that hard to imitate you and get that darn veil open." The girl said picking up an apple from the plate on the center table and plopping into one of the single seater couches opposite Amelia and Damon.

Damon stared at the woman before him scrunitizing her carefully then it clicked, "Oh it’s you." Damon said with relief as his tense body finally relaxed, he was scared at the fact maybe they had been discovered.

"Took you long enough." The lady rolled her eyes biting onto her apple.

Amelia stared at the two of them confused at what was going on could she be another mate of his, thinking about it Amelia proceeded to stand up from Damon’s lap but she was held tightly on the waist by him.

She glared at him wondering what he was trying to do, "I believe you know Amelia." Damon said curtly looking at Amelia with what looked like a hurt face it seemed he was angry at her for trying to get up from his lap.

"I trained her why won’t I?" The lady responded rolling her eyes in annoyance while Amelia furrowed her brows wondering what she meant by that.

Damon sent a sharp glare that contained threats to the lady after what she said made a sorry sign.

"Hey Amelia, forget what I said it’s just me blabbering, by the way my name is Giselle." She introduced with a light smile on her face.

Amelia blinked repeatedly for a minute before turning to Giselle and smiled lightly, "Nice to meet you Giselle." Amelia greeted with a polite smile.

Damon saw Amelia’s blinking reaction and frowned even more with his glare on Giselle not ceasing, "If you don’t mind I would like to see Damon." Giselle said with a light smile on her face.

"Oh sure." Amelia said feeling a bit dazed and stood up from Damon’s lap sitting beside him.

Damon stood up and turned to Amelia patting her head, "I will back shortly." He cooed at her heading out with Giselle tailing behind him.

"Is this your true form or just a shelf?" Damon asked immediately they got out of the cottage, "How is that your business?" Giselle retorted while Damon used his hands to massage his forehead trying not to get angry.

"Why have you come here?" He asked frustrated, this was the old lady that was there when Amelia woke up in Amalia’s body, the same old lady that help with the barrier spell.

"Well I wanted to tell you that keeping her here would not help her recover either her powers or memories, she has to recollect it by herself remember what had happened in the past." Giselle’s scolded, she was Ophelia’s trainer, she had trained her since Ophelia could learn how to walk, she wanted her perfect student back too but this her so called mate was preventing it.

"There are people out there after her life, I can’t just let her be like that, what if she dies again I have to patiently wait for another 20 or 25 years all over again like before, there is no way I’m going through that again Giselle." Damon cold voice said, he could not bear the thought of being alone again.

"Fine, just don’t do anything stupid." Giselle argued, "Oh, like you did back there?" Damon hissed, "That was a slip." Giselle responded not backing down.

"Don’t just use your spells on her again." Damon warned, when Giselle introduced herself earlier she had cast a spell on Amelia that would make her forget what she had said.

"Why are you here Giselle?" Damon and Giselle heard a voice that made them stiffen, they slowly turned to see Amelia standing there staring at them with her gleaming green eyes.

When Damon and Giselle went out Amelia just sat down in a daze wondering what they were talking about.

Shaking her head she picked up the book that Damon had thrown away earlier and started reading trying to distract herself but it was not working as she kept zoning off with different thoughts in her head, well mostly murder thoughts with Giselle’s head on a platter dead and gone.

She tried to get her head together and took a deep breath in closing her eyes to calm herself, but by the time Amelia opened her eyes they had turned green.

Amelia stood up from the couch and headed out of the cottage without much expression on her face, she leaned on the bungalow staring at Giselle and Damon arguing back and forth for a while before a frown settled on her face so she went forward to them.

Amelia folded her arms staring at Giselle and Damon with her eyebrows raised, confused at why they were staring at her like that.

"Ophelia?" Giselle called out unsure, "Yes?" Amelia responded wondering the strange reaction.

"Ophelia!!" Giselle shrieked in excitement causing both Damon and Amelia to whince, "It’s really you!" Giselle said with excitement, "Yes it’s me, now stay away from my man." Amelia said with a serious look on her face as she walked towards Damon standing by his side.

"Still feisty as always I see." Giselle snorted flipping her hair backwards, "You an old lady, behave like one." Amelia fired back irritation written on her face.

"Why did you bring her here, I thought you said this was our safe haven where no one could come, especially not brats like her." Amelia queried turning to look at Damon with a frown on her face.

Damon stared at Amelia’s green eyes with nostalgia in his heart, those possessive gaze of hers, how much he missed it, although he was asked a question he could not even process it, not minding the presence of Giselle, Damon lowered his head and gave Amelia a deep kiss on the lips not wanting to let go, Amelia pushed Damon away cleaning her lips.

"W.... w...why are you so clingy all of a sudden." Amelia stuttered with an obvious blush all over her face, "Geez, you guys should spare my single ass, and also Ophelia, you don’t get to talk to me like that, I am your teacher." Giselle scolded Amelia with an unhappy look on her face.

"Go to hell." Amelia responded pulling Damon for another kiss, "That’s much better." Amelia smacked her lips in satisfaction giving Giselle a what are you going to do about it look.

"Fine I’m leaving." Giselle surrendered, "Damon I would talk to you later." She continued, "Don’t even bother." Amelia said with a sharp glare directed at Giselle.

"Whatever." Giselle said chanting some spells before disappearing from their sight, Amelia scoffed lightly "Coward." She said referring to Giselle.

Although Giselle trained her and was older than her, Ophelia had always seen her as a deranged mother figure because there was definitely a screw loose in that woman’s head she did not for once even behave her age at all, like who does that at all.

"You should not treat her like that though." Damon chuckled deeply finding their banter funny, he knew that was the way they interacted, through arguments, he wondered how it would have been when Giselle was teaching Ophelia.

"Who are you to leture me? You barely have good relationship with your brothers, hell you treat Leviton like he is someone you can order around." Amelia scoffed, Damon laughed even louder before resting his chin in her shoulder and using his hands to trace her arms stopping at her palms and squeezing them, "Fine, you win princess." Damon said breathing into her ear, "cut that out." Amelia pushed Damon’s mouth away from her ear and he laughed it out, they both stood like staring at the endless trees before them, they were enjoying the comfort of each other’s silence, it was a way to communicate with themselves a way for them only.
