Revenge Deal With The Devil-Chapter 138: YOU ABANDONED ME
Max sat quietly on the table eating without any remarks as a huge bump was on his head.
Amelia had hit him but Damon pretended to be oblivious to it, graciously cutting his steak open.
After many years of trial and error it was then that Max realized that even if Amelia was trying to kill him, his dear brother Damon, would gladly tie him up and deliver him to his wife’s footstep for slaughter.
(THE NEXT DAY)
__________
"Asis I found a way for you to meet your sister." Sean announced barging into the room as Asis who was reading a book closed it shut with a mischievous grin on his face, it was time for him to take action and bring glory to Silva faction, everything from now henceforth rested on his shoulders.
"How do I meet her?" Asis asked springing up from the bed.
"Well there is this pond that is suited in the forest I found out that she frequents that place a lot, infact most evenings she is there." Sean reported dutifully.
"Okay then, I better get going." Asis went towards the door, Sean opened his mouth wanting to say something but in the end decided to keep quiet, it was none of his business either ways.
Asis followed the directions in which Sean gave him as he headed to the pond whistling with his hands tucked in his pockets, he seemed to be in a good mood at the same time he was nervous, the previous day he had met his parents and they turned out not to be what he expected.
He wondered if his sister would also be different from them or maybe worst she has been maltreated by them, "The heck are you thinking Asis." He said to himself, it was none of his business neither was it his concern if his sister was being maltreated, they should have dumped her too for all he care.
Reaching the pond, Asis saw a figure with red hair that resembled his mother’s making him gulp with nervousness as his heart beat abnormally fast.
"Didn’t Sean day that she would not be here till dusk." Asis muttered underneath his breath looking a bit shaken that someone else was there but in the end he took a deep breath and stepped forward.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?" Adara asked without turning back as she had sensed someone presence behind her impressing Asis in the process.
The day before yesterday when she saw that man at the pond she came back here more frequent than often as she wanted to see if she would bump into him again, she did not know why but it seemed as if her heart beat was extraordinarily fast that day when she gazed into his black eyes as he stared at her.
Naturally she thought it was him approaching her again and wanted to act cold towards him, slowly turning back she noticed that it was a different person and frowned looking a bit displeased, it seemed her secret hideout was not much of a secret any more.
"Wait a minute, Adara?" Asis asked immediately recognizing her red hair and brown eyes, an odd pair that worked well.
Asis felt like it was too much to take in as he stumbled backwards shocked at the fact that Adara whom he considered his friend was none other than his biological sister, that explains the mark and the urge to protect her from Sean, Asis thought.
He threw a glance at Adara once more not sure if he could go ahead with the plan again, her being his sister ruined everything but then again, Silva’s face flashed into his mind making his resolve harden, he was doing it for nobody but his father who raised him, He thought to himself.
Adara looked at the fellow who had just called her by her name up and down trying to see if she knew him from anywhere then her eyes landed on his greenish hair that had mixtures of black in them, it was a distinct feature that not many people had so seeing it made her remember the friend she was once upon a time chanced to meet in the woods and as fate would have it their reunion too was in the woods.
"Asis?" Adara called out with uncertainty, she was sure but needed confirmation from him too.
"Yes it’s me, Asis." He affirmed her making her face change to that of shock then anger then it went expressionless as she said nothing else but turned around to seat back on the ground poking the pond with the stick beside her, it was an habit she picked up whenever she was upset.
"Are you not excited to see me again?" Asis chuckled wondering how the joyful little girl grew into this and how much she had grown over the past 8 years.
"What’s the use, you are going to leave like before, if you want to use me to get to my parents you are just wasting your time." Adara said coldly as she continued poking the pond.
Hearing the accusation, Asis smile stiffened as he looked at her wondering how she knew, he later adjusted himself so that she would not catch up on him.
"Why would you say that?" Asis asked trying to play it cool.
"Is it not obvious? I went to the place repeatedly over the years but we never for once met, you did not want to have anything to do with me but now maybe after finding out my dad you want to come and pretend like it all never happened." Adara explained sounding childish, Asis sudden disappearance 8 years ago hit her harder than anyone would expect.
She knew she did not love him or something of that kind but he was the first friend she would ever make aside from her annoying cousin and him cutting her off like that made her think that she was not at all good enough to be friends with anyone.
Her little 10 year old self then who would keep on stretching her neck trying to see if there was anyone coming, she had risked going into the woods at that time just to see if Asis would remember her and come back.
Remembering those days made Adara’s eyes water, "You abandoned me then and now you expect me to accept you with open arms." She sniffled trying hard not to cry in front of Asis.
