Returning to the Mysterious Era-Chapter 669 - King Of Fights
A bloody whip made from a head and a spine whipped through the air, dyeing everything around red.
Thud!
The headless corpse of Wild Coiling Bull crashed to the ground like a titanic fortress of exaggerated muscle. At the instant Cassius struck, Thorn Sonic Death Armament's power had invaded, wantonly destroying the Ultimate Dark Form's immortal nature.
On top of that, Wild Coiling Bull had already been grievously injured by Blood Vulture Dominator Fist. Thus, Cassius could make the kill in one go using the Golem's terrifying brute force.
Fwish, thump!
A thick, towering section of white spine plunged from the sky and speared into the earth. Atop it sat Wild Coiling Bull's head with its unclosing dead eyes, filled with deep unwillingness and despair. A massive steel hand held the white horn disk on its skull like a white-bone scepter.
"Tsk, tsk, look at its dying face! How ugly!"
The Golem's huge body loomed before Wild Coiling Bull's carcass. Half of its silvery armor had been dyed red, as blood continued to trickle down. In the wind, the black flaming cloak behind it billowed and lashed.
Krak, krak...
The steel head turned slightly, sweeping over every Ultimate Dark Form on the field. Beneath the mask, red light pulsed with each breath.
"You think you can treat me like a low hanging fruit? Too bad, you picked the wrong opponent. To me, you're the pile of juicy fruits. One hard squeeze and you become a jug of juice..."
Crack!
Cassius suddenly crushed the bull's head between his fingers. Blood spurted from between his four fingers like high-pressure water jets.
"You've made a fatal mistake... And now I'll correct it for the price of your lives!"
Boom!
The earth roared as a pitch-black crater opened where the Golem had stood. An instant later, he was in front of the porcelain giant.
Chieu!
A fully white Waterbird clad in steel pinions appeared over Cassius's sweeping right arm, drawing a white line through the air. In fact, it was made from highly condensed Thorn Feather Force with terrifying destructive power. One feather slid by and grazed a towering mountain. The mountain was erased in an instant, leaving a clean, flat plain in its wake!
Boom!
The steel arm imbued with the Southern Dipper Waterbird Fist slammed hard into the porcelain giant.
Crash, crash, crash...
A thunderous cacophony echoed as the porcelain giant's fist splintered into plumes of white ash, while Cassius's fist carved through its arm.
Swoosh!
The steel talon swept down again, slashing a terrifying black arc through the air as if to cleave the porcelain giant apart!
"Roar!"
Shing!
Black and red beams flared on Cassius's flanks, exuding a perilous calamity aura. Demonic Blood Tyrant was wreathed in a rich crimson aura like the setting sun. Its six once-damaged limbs had regrown.
"Six Blade Slaughter!"
The shark-toothed blades drew back, bending to an outrageous degree. Then the six blades struck together, tracing burning red lines in the air that converged to a point.
On the other side, Ancient Spider Matriarch unveiled a formidable art. The black spider legs on one side of its body grew madly. In a blink, they spanned several times its body. The mass of black legs writhed, abruptly boring out a head that looked both like a dragon and a sandworm. The black dragon head bellowed and shot forth.
"Heheheh..."
A low chuckle rang out from beneath the Golem's mask as its two crimson eyes flared bright as day. His body trembled and arms spread. Soon, a terrifying energy poured out.
Clang! Clang!
Demonic Blood Tyrant's Six Blade Slaughter and the Ancient Spider Matriarch's dragon surged forward, only to smash against two indestructible walls. The Golem had simply raised both arms to meet them. His left hand was covered by a terrifying luminous gauntlet, as he hammered at the sharpest point of Demonic Blood Tyrant's blades.
His right seized Ancient Spider Matriarch's dragon head like a constricting python. Thorn Sonic Death Armament claws clashed against the savage dragon's jaw. Though one against two, Cassius still held the upper hand.
Just then, an Ultimate Dark Form that had concealed itself and hadn't struck, appeared eerily behind the Golem. It was a vague, dark ghost shadow with a terrible inward-pressed spiral vortex in its chest. At the centre of the vortex was a silhouette Cassius knew all too well. Black Rain Manor itself was floating within the specter's chest vortex! It seemed to be supplying it with a vast, endless stream of calamity energy.
Vmmm!
A writhing ghastly face screamed forth from the vortex, lunging for Cassius's back. The hidden foe chose the right moment to show itself to form a three-way encirclement.
No, it wasn't merely three! The porcelain giant whose arms Cassius had shattered also moved, roaring as dense cracks spread over its ceramic body. Hot red light lit up from those rune-like cracks.
Crack, crack!
Incandescent energy exploded out from the cracks, as four enormous exaggerated arms sprang out from the giant's back. Each magma-like arm was half the giant's size. Spread wide, they formed a crimson cage in the sky. The four crimson arms slammed down, blotting out the sky.
"I'll crush you to death!!"
In a heartbeat, Cassius was surrounded by fearsome Ultimate Dark Forms unleashing deadly techniques from all four directions. Every scrap of space around him prickled sharply. It was an omen of imminent harm. A normal person would have panicked or at least grown serious. However, not Cassius—he was thrilled as he started laughing madly!
Cassius had just cooperated with Blood Vulture to slay the Totem King Kassares and gained an outrageous boost from his life vibration energy. He lacked only a chance to test himself and gauge his might, but now four Ultimate Dark Forms had obliged! How could he not grant their wish?
At some point, Cassius's temperament had grown ever more vicious. He'd come to relish being besieged by many strong foes, mired in danger at the very eye of the storm. Being able to single-handedly suppress enemies in all directions gave him a powerful satisfaction. It was like the conquest of the mighty!
"Blood Vulture, I'm starting to envy you! Every vicious brawl you fought in the ancient era must have been thrilling and ecstatic! Just like how I feel right now! Hahahaha!"
Amid deafening laughter, the Golem body triggered three explosions at once. A terrifying black Qi mass swelled, a vulture phantom howled forth, and a steel waterbird took flight. Cassius unleashed his strength without restraint, driving his Golem Covert Martial Arts to the peak!
Cassius's aura had always been formidable and fearsome but now, it spiked!
Power power power! Dominate dominate dominate!
His Qi was several times greater than a second before! His steel body swelled like a balloon as unending energy surged outward.
Boom!!!
The Golem swept his arms out at unbelievable speed! Glowing fists filled the air like a raging hurricane. Space itself looked ready to shatter!
Clang!
The ground cracked and detonated as black mud shot up through the fissures. A ball of white brilliance appeared in the battlefield's center like a supernova. Winds swept, clouds shifted, and Starfall Plain vanished entirely. Only a vast abyssal pit remained.
As the glare faded, the combatants were lying at the pit's rim. The porcelain giant had only its upper half left. Its lower body and the four crimson arms on its back were gone. Its chest and head were so riddled with cracks that it was barely holding together.
Elsewhere, Ancient Spider Matriarch was embedded into a mountain. Its dragon was long destroyed, strewn over hundreds of kilometers. They were everywhere but on itself. The Ancient Spider Matriarch itself was reduced to a swollen, legless mass. For it, that meant its combat power was nearly gone.
Beside it, the lank ghost shadow was the least injured. Its body was an energy-like form but it had dulled from a deep black glow to a dim candle. The vortex in its chest had slowed more than tenfold, and the Black Rain Manor within was near shattered. As such, its calamity energy was plummeting.
At the abyssal pit's floor where the center of battle was, Demonic Blood Tyrant had all six scarlet limbs broken. It had been hoisted up by the throat. It dangled and writhed in midair, trying to roar, but was as weak as a dying patient. It could only wheeze like a leaking pipe. Blood dripped from wounds all over its body.
Plip, plip...
As blood spattered onto the silver mask, two red pupils took in the Ultimate Dark Form as if examining a lamb for slaughter.
"Look! You've become hideous too! You once had six limbs. Every spike was enchantingly cute, and every serration elegant... You were practically a work of art!" A deep voice reverberated in the air. "I'd meant to save you for last... But now that you're ugly, the flavor's changed. I feel fear in you. Where is that pure malice you had at first? Heheh, forget it. That's life. At death's last moment, most lives turn ugly like that dumb bull. I thought you were different, but now I see I was being sentimental..."
Crack.
The five steel fingers on its neck tightened slightly with an intent to kill.
Skree! Rip!
"Aaah!"
Suddenly, a massive figure tumbled down from afar. An impossibly fast streak of blood chased it, flashing like lightning across the sky to overtake the flying figure. The next second, that formidable Ultimate Dark Form was dismembered in midair!
Blood Vulture's powerful talons had split it right down the middle. Blood fell like rain and guts scattered as two bloody halves crushed into mountains.
An elder with entirely blood-red hair and beard soared skyward. His blazing eyes were like two crimson orbs. Blood Vulture Dominator Fist raised his head to the heavens, as if squaring off against the overlapping twin blood moons. Xiadu's Will was growing ever more intense; it was on the verge of emerging.
"Cassius, make it quick! Kill as many as you can! I see more Ultimate Dark Forms being summoned from afar and I have a hunch Xiadu will not stand idle. It's about to make a move..."
Within the pit's abyss, the Golem also looked up and roared.
"Then let it strike! Together, you and I, let's test how strong it still is!"
