Returning From The Magic World-Chapter 103 What Ministry Is It?
The young girl kept looking at his face as she walked over to the bed. She sat down on the side of the bed and said, "Your homeroom teacher asked me what happened to you because you haven't attended school for three days. If you are sick, at least send a doctor's note to the school, he said."
"Tomorrow I'm not busy so I'll go to school" Arthur replied.
"By the way, how is Alex's current condition?" he asked.
"He?" Carla was a little surprised to be asked about the man. She replied, "he's still attending school as usual, apart from his injuries, nothing really is different."
"I see!" Arthur held his chin for a while, thinking that he needed to take care of the man and the organization behind him.
Even though their motives were purely political and they might stop after the problem was solved, but with the current situation, developments could go in another direction.
According to Rose, even though the organization only consists of wealthy families, mostly from America, they are actually closely related to many other organizations because they are the source of funds for many people. In terms of status, they were the highest. In the CIA for example, their control is the greatest.
Even like the Mossad, they can be said to be nephews of the organization. Most of their operational funds come from them. Perhaps what the Mossad knows about him will also be shared with the organization.
"Arthur!" Suddenly Carla moved closer to Arthur.
When the latter looked at her doubtfully, she suddenly grabbed his hand.
It made him unable to help but think, 'a problem when a girl matures.'
Before he could say anything, the woman was already clinging to him.
Even though she wasn't hugging him, the sensation from her body was clear enough.
"What is it?" Arthur asked, feigning ignorance of what she was thinking.
The woman looked at him while sliding a few strands of hair that covered her face. After tightening her lips, she replied, "I thought I wanted you."
'Looks like Bella's courage has transferred to her,' thought Arthur, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
"What exactly do you mean?" He still pretended not to understand.
Right after he asked that, the woman apparently went even further. Her hands slipped to his chest and hugged him.
"Arthur, you know, at our age it's normal to have a certain kind of relationship between cousins," she said.
She had made the point clear already, so there was no way Arthur could continue to pretend. With a sigh, he asked, "You didn't expect to be like those people, did you?"
"What's wrong if I want to be like them," she replied. "You didn't reject me, did you, Arthur?"
"You should think more," Arthur replied, clapping the girl's hand.
"By the way, aunt has come, I want to talk to her," he added.
When she heard about her mother, Carla was like a cat whose tail was stepped on, she immediately backed away and Arthur was freed.
The man smiled before standing up and taking a step, leaving Carla alone in the room.
Her face started to turn red as she realized the insolent thing she had just said. Who knows how her mother would react if she found out about this. She might be an open-minded woman, but still, any woman would feel screwed if her daughter did something strange with the nephew she was raising.
Arthur arrived at the living room as Isabel and Jade walked into the living room. The two of them are chatting.
Seeing Arthur, Isabel was slightly taken aback while Jade knitted her brows. Maybe she found it strange that Arthur had disappeared for one day. After all, when he was talking about going to Sicily Island, Jade wasn't around.
"Finally you're back!" Isabel breathed a sigh of relief.
"Since this morning," Arthur replied.
"Well, since you're waiting for me here, there must be something you want to talk about, right?"
"Yes!" Arthur nodded. He glanced at Jade.
Isabel waved her hand at the woman, motioning for her to leave.
After putting down the suitcase she brought with her, Jade immediately left.
Isabel didn't sit on the sofa right away, she went to get a bottle of cold water in the fridge.
Even though she was already a magus, working all day clearly made her mentally tired.
As soon as she sat down, Arthur started the conversation. "By the way, aunt, do you want to be a minister?"
"Oh?" Isabel was a little surprised to hear the question.
Carla who also came down to the living room was even more surprised so she hastened her steps. She stared at Isabel with an expression of disbelief.
"You want to be a minister?" she asked spontaneously.
Of course, it wouldn't be strange for her to feel disbelief. Just being the daughter of a congresswoman was quite excessive, an existence far rarer than the daughter of a businessman, not to mention ministers. It should be known that the position is only about forty in Europe.
She couldn't imagine how her status had risen. In fact, most of the country's leaders in the world are considered to be much lower than a single ministry in Europe. If she followed her mother on a foreign journey, she would be greeted by a large motorcade.
"Come on, do I look unfit to be a minister?" Isabel chuckled.
She looked at Arthur again and continued, "who did you hear about that from?"
"Amanda," Arthur replied
Isabel rolled her eyes at the name, she replied, "it's really only a matter of time, maybe another month or two. If there's a problem, it's the resistance of the people who don't agree with me taking the position."
"Then, what Ministry is it?"
"Ministry of Home Affairs," Isabel answered.
That of course includes a strategic position because it regulates internal problems and bureaucracy of all branches of government in Europe.
Arthur couldn't help but open a search engine and search for the person who was the minister of that ministry at the moment.
And apparently, it was occupied by an old man, who had been sickly lately. He was often urged to resign because he was deemed to be working less than optimally.
No wonder Isabel said that it was only a matter of time.
One might be selfish and shameless, but the urge to retreat from many people would definitely make that person depressed.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Isabel asked, knowing that it wasn't a topic Arthur wanted to talk about as it was basically her business, not Arthur's.fre𝙚𝓌𝒆𝚋noѵel.c𝚘m
