Return to the City: The Strongest King-Chapter 1874 - 1783: Who Else? (Part 4)
"Sister Zhou, let me take care of her..." A lackey next to Sister Zhou couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to go and hit Zhu Wenhua.
"What are you doing? The police will be here soon. Do you want to end up in jail?" Sister Zhou glared at the lackey, who quickly bowed his head and retreated.
"Hmph, do you think knowing a few people makes you arrogant? Once Officer Wu gets here, none of you will get away!" Zhu Wenhua hysterically pointed at Song Xiaodong, Sister Zhou, and the crowd around them.
"How does someone this reckless still manage to stay alive?" Sister Zhou glanced at Zhu Wenhua as if she were looking at an animal, then turned to ask Song Xiaodong.
"Maybe, his life has been quite turbulent..." Song Xiaodong replied.
Before long, police sirens blared loudly outside Jinhui Film and Television City.
Five police cars arrived, and over twenty police officers got out.
Inside the film city, Song Xiaodong had gathered over a hundred people.
These police officers saw so many people and felt a bit uneasy. The person who had summoned them was Officer Sun, called in by Zhu Wenhua.
"Hey, Officer Sun, thank goodness you're here!" Zhu Wenhua saw Officer Sun and immediately ran over, as if he'd lost a parent, snot and tears streaming, dashing to Officer Sun.
Officer Sun, nearing forty, was bloated and heavy-faced. He walked over in his police uniform, looking stern.
Zhu Wenhua hurriedly grabbed Officer Sun's hands, ready to kneel.
"Officer Sun, thank goodness you're here, you're my savior. If you had come any later, they might have beaten me to death!" Zhu Wenhua cried dramatically, just like a sad maiden in a period drama complaining to a high official.
"Why doesn't she go into acting?" Song Xiaodong muttered to himself.
"Get up, stop crying, explain the situation. All of you, stand against the wall." Officer Sun shouted at the crowd inside the film city.
The crowd didn't move.
"Explain the situation properly." Officer Sun said sternly to Zhu Wenhua.
"Officer Sun, here's what happened: today was supposed to be Director Zhang Gangyi's film premiere, but this person insisted on changing the actors. Director Zhang naturally refused, and then this person started a fight, calling in gangsters to surround and prevent us from leaving, they even engaged in a brawl!"
Zhang Wu and Jin Daya heard this and thought they're finished.
Indeed, when people are angry, their IQ drops to zero. Now, they're involving Zhang Wu and Jin Daya.
Officer Sun examined the scene carefully. The people Song Xiaodong called, and those Zhang Wu and Jin Daya brought, didn't carry weapons. Although there's fighting, it's at most gathering to brawl and disturbing public order. If it were armed brawling, the problem would be severe.
Officer Sun observed Zhang Wu and Jin Daya kneeling on the ground, their people beaten black and blue, while Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou's people were unharmed.
Officer Sun then walked over to Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou.
"Is what she said true?" Officer Sun asked Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou.
Neither spoke, their eyes fixed on Officer Sun.
"I'm asking you two a question!" Seeing their attitude, Officer Sun felt a bit annoyed.
Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou still didn't speak.
"Men, cuff them!" Officer Sun ordered, and the police officers behind him moved in.
Sister Zhou's people also moved in and faced off with the police.
Officer Sun quickly scanned around; the people here definitely outnumber his officers.
The entire police team wouldn't be enough for this crowd.
What exactly did Zhu Wenhua get involved in?
Officer Sun felt a bit of regret internally; he should've inquired first, but now, he's stuck in a tough situation.
"What? You're arresting?" Officer Sun still brazenly shouted at Sister Zhou and Song Xiaodong.
"Officer Sun, what did we do that you're arresting us?" Sister Zhou finally spoke.
"You're gathering to brawl, disturbing public order!" Officer Sun replied.
"Did we brawl?" Sister Zhou turned and asked Zhang Wu and Jin Daya.
"No, no, officer, nothing happened here. We're just filming a movie!" Zhang Wu quickly lifted his beaten, unrecognizable face and forced a smile at Officer Sun.
"Yes, yes, we're just filming. This lady misunderstood." Jin Daya chimed in.
Officer Sun looked down; these two were kneeling, their eyes swollen and bruised, their noses still bleeding, evidently from a recent beating.
"Filming ended up like this?" Officer Sun asked.
"Yes, our Director Zhang Gangyi demands realism in action scenes, so it's a bit rough." Song Xiaodong naturally answered Officer Sun, casting a glance at the disheveled Director Zhang Gangyi.
"Is that so?" Officer Sun turned to ask the distant Director Zhang Gangyi.
Director Zhang Gangyi kept his head down, saying nothing.
"Officer Sun, they're lying!" Zhu Wenhua came over, pointing at Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou.
Officer Sun turned to look at Zhu Wenhua again.
"I can testify, I was just on-site, they started fighting, look at their people; they're covered in blood! I'm a witness!" Zhu Wenhua pointed at the lackeys brought by Zhang Wu and Jin Daya, who were beaten terribly.
"I can testify too!" Qin Huai, seeing the police, finally felt hopeful, and stood up to testify, casting a venomous glance at Song Xiaodong.
"Alright, you two, and you two, come with me to the police station." Officer Sun looked at Qin Huai and Zhu Wenhua, then glanced at Song Xiaodong and Sister Zhou.
"Hold on!" A man's voice came from outside.
