With a wide, lecherous smirk on his face, Ignis took slow steps toward Nymeria.

He grabbed her wrist, pushed her onto the bed, and muttered, "Today, I will tame you and make sure you never rebel again."

There was no resistance in Nymeria’s eyes. She did not react in the slightest as Ignis began removing his clothes. Her gaze remained fixed on the ceiling, and there was no expression on her face. It was as if... she were already dead inside.

"No," Taranis muttered, desperation etched across his face.

"Get up, Nymeria!" he shouted, trying to shake her, but his hands passed straight through her. "Do not let him take advantage of you!"

Ignis placed his knees on the bed and began crawling toward Nymeria.

"Stop it, you bastard!" Taranis shouted, turning toward Ignis. "Stay away from her!"

Taranis knew it was a memory from the past. He knew that no matter how loudly he screamed, his voice would never reach them. Still, he did not care.

His heart pounded like war drums as countless emotions surged through him. Fury, helplessness, desperation,... fear.

Yet what could he do except watch his world crumble before his eyes?

After climbing on top of Nymeria, Ignis grabbed her robe by the shoulder and tore the sleeves apart.

"You have no idea how desperately I have waited for this day," Ignis muttered, his voice heavy with lust. "Do you know the slaughter of the Thunderbanes happened because of you? If you had agreed to become mine instead of that bastard Taranis, they would still be alive. It was all because of you. You are the reason for Taranis’s death."

Nymeria showed no reaction. Her hollow eyes remained fixed on the ceiling.

"Tsk. I will make sure that arrogant mouth of yours will be begging me within a few minutes."

He leaned closer to her, and just as his lips came within a nail’s breadth of Nymeria’s, the ceiling of the brothel suddenly tore open.

"Who is it?" Ignis demanded, jumping off the bed.

Before he could even stand, a foot slammed him down onto the floor. In the blink of an eye, the entire room was encased in ice. Even the sky above was sealed by an icy ceiling, blocking the room from every side.

"How dare you!?" a thunderous voice roared through the room, shaking the very foundations of the building.

The voice belonged to none other than Aurelion.

This was the first time Aurelion had shouted in his entire life. It was also the first time his face displayed clear emotions, the expression of absolute fury.

"How much of the conversation did he hear?" Ignis wondered inwardly. "I will be dead if he heard anything about the Thunderbanes."

A chill ran down his spine, and his entire body trembled under the bone chilling pressure radiating from Aurelion.

Aurelion’s fingers dug into the scar on Ignis’s face as he pushed him deeper into the floor. The blood froze before it could even escape from his skin. Forget screaming. Ignis could not even force a sound out of his throat.

"I-I will die. He is going to kill me," Ignis thought in terror.

Just as Aurelion was about to crush his head into the floor,

"Stop, Father. I was here by my own choice," Nymeria shouted, grabbing Aurelion’s arm.

Aurelion did not stop. The pressure on Ignis’s face continued to increase.

"I want to marry him, Father. Please do not kill him!" Nymeria shouted again and again, but her pleas fell on deaf ears.

Seeing Ignis only inches away from death, Nymeria clenched her fists and declared, "If you kill him, I will not live either. Kill him if you wish to see my corpse."

Aurelion froze.

His gaze shifted from Ignis to Nymeria.

"What did you just say!?" Aurelion demanded, his voice heavy.

Nymeria had never seen her father look at her with such fury. Hell!—Aurelion had never even raised his voice at her before.

"You heard me," Nymeria muttered, staring directly into Aurelion’s eyes. "I wish to marry him. If you kill him, I will also..."

"Nymeria!!!" Aurelion’s booming voice shook the room as he raised his hand high into the air.

But he could not bring it down.

How could he? She was his precious daughter after all. His heart was already breaking at the mere thought that he had nearly raised his hand against her.

Removing his foot from Ignis’s face, he grabbed Nymeria by the wrist and declared, "You will not marry this filth under any circumstances."

The next moment, the two of them vanished from the brothel.

The vision shifted again.

This time, Taranis found himself inside a room with white walls decorated with intricate silver patterns.

Nymeria was sitting on her bed, her sleeves still torn, indicating that it was still the same day. Aurelion sat on a chair in front of her, massaging his forehead with a troubled expression.

Suddenly, the door slid open and Lunaria walked in.

With swift steps and fury evident in every movement, she approached Nymeria and

Slap!

"Lunaria!" Aurelion shouted, pulling her back by the wrist.

"I am ashamed to call you my daughter," Lunaria muttered, tears forming in her eyes.

Nymeria did not react to the slap. Her face showed no emotion.

"Is there something wrong with enjoying my life?" Nymeria said, looking into Lunaria’s eyes as if her tears did not bother her in the slightest.

Lunaria raised her hand again in anger, but Aurelion caught her wrist and shook his head.

"We will talk to her tomorrow," he said calmly.

Lunaria yanked her hand free from Aurelion’s grasp and turned away. After reaching the door, she glanced back at Nymeria one last time, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Taranis’s soul must be crying in the heavens because of you."

Then she left the room.

Once the two of them were gone, Nymeria stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom.

She stood before the mirror in front of sink.

Inside the sink were countless knife marks carved into the surface.

She moved her right hand to her left arm and began peeling the skin.

It was not her skin.

It was a skin mask that she slowly removed from her arm.

"Why is she wearing a skin—" Taranis’s words stopped midway as he saw countless stab wounds covering her entire arm.

She placed her arm on the sink and pulled a sharp dagger from her space ring.

A cold chill surged through Taranis as he realized how those wounds had been inflicted.

"No... Stop it, Nymeria," Taranis whispered, his lips trembling.

In a swift motion, she stabbed the dagger into her arm and murmured,

"Die, Ignis."

Blood poured from the wound, staining the white sink crimson. Yet her face remained completely emotionless, as if the pain meant nothing to her.

Then she pulled the dagger out and stabbed herself again.

"Die, Ignis."

Blood splattered everywhere, across the mirror, the sink, the floor, and even her own face.

She pulled the dagger out once more and stabbed again.

"Die, Ignis."

Again.

"Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die, Ignis... squelch... Die Ignis..."
