Wang Min couldn't stand it any longer. He thought back to how he had just judged Wu Tian, looked down on him, and felt the gap between them was like the difference between a firefly's glimmer and the moon's brilliance. But now? It turned out he was the firefly, and Wu Tian was the moon. How humiliating. Utterly humiliating.

Wang Min lowered his head slightly, feeling the strange gazes of the others on him.

Meanwhile, the other elementary school classmates were looking at Wu Tian incredulously.

"I'd heard of Boundless Corporation before, but I never imagined it would be yours?"

"I also vaguely heard that the CEO of Boundless Corporation was a Wu Tian, but I never thought it would be you!"

"This is incredible."

"So, the Wu Tian who received the SSSSS business rating last time was really you? My company was also assessed, and I only got a C."

They were all in a state of shock. Wu Tian's success was beyond anything they could have possibly imagined. They all came from the same village, and while it wasn't unheard of for a phoenix to fly out of a chicken coop, they found it hard to believe when it happened to someone right in their midst. Their emotions were shaken into an indescribable, complex mess.

Now that everyone knew Wu Tian's identity, he immediately became the center of the reunion. People constantly came up to greet him, especially the women. Some stood by his side, gazing at him with admiration, while others were already using their bodies to brush against him, hoping for a fleeting romance that would surely be a significant gain for them.

But Wu Tian thought little of these people. He still remembered that back in elementary school, these same girls had never been particularly close to him.

Others, mostly men, also came over to try and cozy up to him.

"Wu Tian, do you remember? I once lent you an eraser."

"That's nothing! Wu Tian, I once broke your pencil case. Sorry about that, but you never blamed me. You treated me like a brother, and I'll always consider you one too."

"Wu Tian, do you remember back when..."

He sneered inwardly. Were we ever that close? Back in elementary school, they hadn't been close to him at all.

Wang Min gritted his teeth, managing to hold back until a lavish spread of dishes was brought to the table. It included deluxe items like abalone, sea cucumber, shark fin, and fish maw. There was also the famous Fujian Cuisine dish, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, which cost 70,000 per pot. A plate of steamed bear's paw and bamboo rat was 250,000. The prices of the other dishes were all over 10,000.

Wang Min's eyelids twitched. He couldn't take it anymore and called out to the server, "Wait, this isn't ours! This is definitely not what I ordered. Did you bring this to the wrong table?"

The server simply shook her head. With Wu Tian present, how could she possibly make a mistake? She just smiled and walked away.

"What's wrong, Wang Min?" one of his cronies from elementary school jeered. "Yeah, this all looks delicious. It must cost at least a few thousand, right? Come on, Wang Min, surely you're not sweating a few thousand, are you?" They hadn't dared to approach Wu Tian because they had been at odds with him since they were kids. Now that Wu Tian was so successful, they just felt ashamed. His success only highlighted how poor their judgment had been for not choosing to befriend someone like him back in the day.

"What do you know? What do any of you know?" Wang Min panicked. In a regular restaurant, these dishes might indeed cost a few thousand, but this was Arthur's Restaurant, where the chefs and ingredients were the absolute best of the best. He had suggested eating here precisely to show off his wealth, but he couldn't possibly afford this meal. The income from his restaurant barely covered his expenses. He had inherited a few million from his father and spent it lavishly, but even he wouldn't dare spend over 100,000 on a single meal.

Hearing the words of his cronies and seeing the smiles on the other classmates' faces, he grew even angrier. Pointing at everyone, he roared, "This time, we're going Dutch!"

At his words, many of the classmates became displeased. "Wang Min, you were the one who suggested meeting at Arthur's Restaurant," one said. "Yeah, I said any old place would be fine, but you disagreed," another added. "That's right! We only came because we thought you were paying."

Wang Min ground his teeth. Yes, it was his idea. He had brought this on himself. But he had to insist on splitting the bill. Otherwise, a meal costing 300,000 to 400,000 was something he couldn't afford. Losing that much from his few million was a significant hit.

"Alright, my dad will cover this meal," the little one announced, knowing it was time to show off. She tried to get her dad to speak, but Wu Tian stayed silent, savoring the scene with an amused expression. With no other choice, the little one stepped up herself.

Everyone was stunned. With Wu Tian footing the bill, they were, of course, delighted.

"As expected of the boss of Boundless Corporation!"

"The rich people in the city are the truly wealthy ones."

"That's right, Wu Tian is loaded."

The men and women alike began to suck up to Wu Tian. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Watching this unfold, Wang Min was furious but didn't dare voice his opinion. He could no longer afford to offend Wu Tian. He could only mutter under his breath, "Heh, what's there to be so arrogant about? What's so great about him? It's all thanks to a woman. If I'd met that so-called goddess Qin Yuhan, and she slept with me, this whole corporation would be mine."

Amid the noise in the private room, nobody clearly heard what Wang Min had said.

But Wu Tian did.

He moved in an instant. To the others, it was just a blur. His speed was so shocking it left them dumbfounded.

BANG!

They heard the sound and looked toward Wang Min, only to see him flying through the air like a tattered football before slamming into the wall. Then, his plump body deflated like a punctured ball, shrinking down until he collapsed to the floor. He looked dead, only breathing out, not in.

The others stared in shock, looking from Wang Min's limp form, which now resembled a pile of sludge, to the calmly standing Wu Tian. A chill ran from the soles of their feet to the tops of their heads.

Is... is he even human?

Someone quickly came to their senses. "Call an ambulance!"

"Wu Tian, let's get out of here," Chen Meiling said, completely dumbfounded by the scene. She never expected Wu Tian to be this formidable. She had seen him kick someone once before at Jiuzhou Center Airport, but witnessing it again was just as shocking. Regaining her composure, she tugged at Wu Tian and the little one, trying to lead them out.

"Don't be afraid. It's nothing," Wu Tian said nonchalantly. So what if I killed him? A dragon has a reverse scale; touch it, and you die. Wang Min and his big mouth... how dare he insult Yuhan? Sending him to his death is only right and proper!

"If the authorities come asking later, just say, the murderer is Wu Tian!"

After speaking, Wu Tian picked up the little one and left with Chen Meiling.

The people in the private room looked at each other in bewilderment.

"He... he killed someone. Isn't he afraid?"

"Who knows?"

How could mere mortals comprehend that there are always higher powers at play?
