Dragon Country had a Chinese Medicine Association, and its president was hailed as the number one figure in the field. His name was Huangfu Huisheng, and he went by the nickname "Rival of Bian Que." He had also declared that the one to inherit his title would be his grandson, Huangfu Jiushi.

Though still a twenty-five-year-old top student at the University of Chinese Medicine, Huangfu Jiushi had already earned the nickname "Rival of Hua Tuo." According to the association, any practitioner not recognized by them was considered a fraud.

But Wu Tian cared little for such things.

"Lost medical texts?" Now this piqued Wu Tian's interest.

His own medical knowledge had been imparted to him by an old master. The art of medicine, however, was vast and profound. Wu Tian couldn't say for certain that the techniques of the modern world were inferior to those of the Immortal Emperor Realm. Each had its own strengths and weaknesses. The medical techniques of historical figures like Hua Tuo might not have possessed the same otherworldly magic as those from the Immortal Emperor Realm, but in certain respects, they were by no means inferior.

Wu Tian was eager to examine these lost texts, to see if he could draw upon their strengths to make up for his own shortcomings.

"Is the information reliable?" Wu Tian knew Wu Fa was from Ghost Valley. Could anything someone from Ghost Valley said truly be trusted? Its members were all masters of rhetoric, like the historical figures Su Qin and Zhang Yi. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"It's definitely true," Cui Chong said earnestly. "Wu Fa once recited a line from the Green Satchel Book on the spot, stunning the many medical students present. The story should have caused a massive uproar, but because of the Phoenix incident, all the news reports and papers pushed it to the second page."

He still didn't know that the New Holy Land was connected to Wu Tian, or that the Phoenix was Wu Tian's pet. If he did, he would have been too shocked to speak.

"In what format will the Divine Doctor Conference be held?" This was Wu Tian's main concern. A contest of medical techniques? Even that could be done in several ways. If it were just acupuncture, Western medicine would be at a disadvantage. But if it were a competition of prescribing medicine, traditional Chinese medicine would suffer. Since this is the Divine Doctor Conference, not a Chinese or Western Medicine Conference, what kind of contest would it be?

Cui Chong and Xiao Liang exchanged a glance, both understanding that Wu Tian was planning to go.

Cui Chong didn't dare to be negligent and quickly explained, "Wu Fa's wife is gravely ill. He searched for a Divine Doctor to no avail, but he discovered a prescription in the Green Satchel Book that could cure her. However, this isn't a recipe an ordinary doctor can prepare, as it's a formula for an elixir. Therefore, the competition is to see who can successfully create the medicine first."

"I understand," Wu Tian said with a small smile. "So, traditional Chinese doctors would follow the prescription to create a pill, while Western doctors might create a potion or some other formulation. But regardless of the form, whoever can perfectly replicate the medicine first wins. Is that right?"

Cui Chong nodded.

Xiao Liang added, "Some professors from Xia Qian's herbal medicine company are planning to attend. If you're going, Mr. Wu Tian, we should probably stop them to prevent them from embarrassing themselves."

Wu Tian shook his head, indicating there was no need for that.

Xiao Liang nodded in understanding.

As far as Cui Chong and Xiao Liang were concerned, the Chinese Medicine Association had made its trip for nothing. Huangfu Huisheng, the so-called "Rival of Bian Que," was bound to be humiliated. And to think, the man had already booked out the entire AK47 Restaurant to host a grand feast for all the traditional Chinese doctors in Yang City, both local and visiting. His message was simple: he wanted to remind all these practitioners that he was the president of the Chinese Medicine Association and their role at the Divine Doctor Conference was merely to participate for the experience. The final victor, of course, would be him. Cui Chong and Xiao Liang knew exactly what Huangfu Huisheng was up to without even needing to look. How amusing. After the Divine Doctor Conference, the president of the Chinese Medicine Association is going to be an absolute laughingstock!

After discussing a few more matters with Wu Tian, Cui Chong and Xiao Liang took their leave as evening approached.

When Wu Tian returned home, neither Murong Yezi nor Qin Yuhan asked him about his meeting. A home, after all, should be a place of freedom, not constraint. If Wu Tian wanted to talk about it, he would. If he chose not to, they wouldn't press him. This was the ideal family dynamic.

After dinner, Murong Yezi and Qin Yuhan went to wash the dishes, while Wu Tian held the little one and watched TV. The little girl had stopped watching cartoons, mainly because most of the good ones had been banned. Instead, she was watching an old drama called *The Crescent Blade*. During the first episode, viewers commented that the protagonist, Ding Peng, was unremarkably plain-looking.

Curled up on the sofa, the little girl grew indignant. "A bunch of blind people! How can they call that plain?" Unhappy, she stopped watching altogether.

"Dad, has anything interesting happened lately?" Ever since her father, Wu Tian, had come into her life, the little girl felt things had become much more dramatic and filled with thrilling events. But it wasn't enough! Her favorite hobby was "face-slapping," and she hoped her dad would give her another chance.

"There is." Holding the little one in his arms, he pinched her little nose and said with a smile, "In three days, there will be a Divine Doctor Conference."

At his words, the little girl's eyes lit up instantly, her gaze fixed on her father. The Divine Doctor Conference! That would be a perfect opportunity for some face-slapping!

"I want to go!" The little one shouted, raising her cute little hands.

Wu Tian smiled and tapped her on the forehead. "You've learned some medical techniques from me, but it's not enough. If you go, you won't be the one slapping faces. You'll be the one getting your face slapped."

"What?" she cried out. She loved slapping other people's faces; she did not enjoy having her own face slapped. There was no thrill in that at all. For instance, after five consecutive losses in Honor of Kings, her mood would sour. After ten straight losses, she wouldn't touch the game for days.

What does a person pursue in life? The thrill, of course!

"Dad, teach me more medical techniques over the next three days!" The little girl threw her arms around Wu Tian. "Please, Dad? My good dad, my super good dad, please teach me!"

"Teach you? And what's in it for me?" Wu Tian teased, seeing her eagerness.

The little one pondered for a moment. Food? Toys? No, Dad definitely doesn't care about things like that! An idea suddenly struck her. With a sly smile, she asked, "Dad, do you want to... you know... 'do that' with Mom?"

"'Do that'?" Wu Tian frowned slightly.

"Yeah, play the game! If you want to, you have to help me," the little girl declared firmly.

Wu Tian chuckled. As if I need her help to get together with Qin Yuhan. Ridiculous. He refused.

The little one was on the verge of crying.

"Massages," Wu Tian stated his terms directly.

The little girl might be turning into a little witch, but Wu Tian still wanted her to be his sweet, caring daughter.

The little girl was frustrated, as she disliked doing such gentle things more than anything. But the thought of the Divine Doctor Conference was too tempting. She gritted her teeth and nodded. "Fine, I agree."

"What are you two talking about?" Qin Yuhan asked as she came out of the kitchen, her curiosity piqued by the expression on her daughter's face.

The little girl quickly waved her hands. "N-Nothing!" Me, the magnificent one, giving Dad a massage? It's so embarrassing!

Qin Yuhan sensed the little girl was up to something. She's definitely hiding something. I'll have to check on them tonight and see what that father-daughter pair is plotting.
