REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 68: IT DIDN’T WORK

Ariana opened her eyes and found herself in an unfamiliar place, although the place was beautiful, she could feel that she didn’t belong there.

"Ariana, you’re awake!" Hunter called her name; he was sitting next to her.

"Who are you?" Ariana asked.

"Ehh!" Hunter was confused, but then his eyes lit up, this was his second chance.

"I am your mate, Hunter!" He said introducing himself to her.

Dylan held Sophia in his arms, when he felt his strength slowly coming back.

"Dylan, bite your hand, let her feed. Your blood is going to heal her faster." Samantha instructed.

Dylan didn’t waste any time and bit his hand and place his hand on her lips, but she made no movement. He turned to Samantha.

"Why isn’t she taking the blood?" He asked feeling sad.

"Try to open her mouth and let the blood drip in." Avery instructed.

Dylan did as she said, and Sophia’s color returned to normal. It was not long greyish but was the normal pale color.

"She is not waking up?" Dylan asked them.

"She is still young, so she needs Ariana’s blood the most now." Samantha replied.

Dylan nodded and they returned to the pack house. Isabelle saw them coming in and ran towards them.

"Sophia?" She asked when she saw her unconscious.

"She is hurt!" Austin replied.

"Casey, thank you for everything but we need to pack now. Once Adrian and Ariana return, we are leaving. For the sake of the alliance, we won’t do anything to the pack, but this cut all connection." Derek said turning to Casey.

Casey nodded in understanding, after all it was this pack that started the mess.

"I understand, I hope to keep communicating with Ariana." She said softly.

"You will, but no one else from the pack will have any contact with her." Derek said politely.

"She is one of us, we have to protect her at all cost." Tyler spoke.

"She is lucky to have you guys." Casey said with a smile and left.

Hunter wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and placed his head on her shoulder. Ariana felt uncomfortable when he touched and her brow frow in confusion.

"How come there is no sparks, or a pull?" She asked and Hunter tighted his grip around her waist in panic.

"That’s because we have not completed the mating procedure. Once we complete you will feel the sparks." He said with a fake smile.

"Why haven’t we completed it?" She asked turning her head to look at him over her shoulder.

"We were about to, then the vampire guy kidnapped you." He replied.

’Why is asking so much question?’ Hunter thought to himself. ’It’s okay, as long as we complete the mating bond, she will be mine.’ He said comforting himself.

"We can complete the mating now." He said and leaned in to kiss her, Ariana didn’t know what happened but before his lips could touch hers, she turned her head away and his lips landed on her cheeks instead.

Adrian looked at his surroundings and didn’t see Ariana and Hunter in sight. He walked around calling her name, but he heard no response. ’Did he succeed?’ He asked himself; his plan was to go and find Ariana before Hunter wiped her memories.

"Ariana!" He called out and saw Hunter standing in front of Ariana and wanted to kiss her, but he then saw Ariana turn her head away and his lips landed on her cheek.

"Ariana, are you okay?" He asked rushing over and pushed Hunter aside.

"Who are you?" Ariana asked, Adrian looked at her with a shocked expression.

"I am your mate!" He replied.

"But he said that he is my mate." Ariana said with a confused look.

"He is lying!" They both said at the same time.

Ariana looked at the two and was even more puzzled.

"Ariana, he was your mate, but he rejected you for your sister and you became my mate." Adrian explained.

"He is lying to you; I am your mate. I told you that he was obsessed with you." Hunter said and Ariana moved away from Dylan and went to Hunter.

"Ariana, you cannot believe any words he says." Adrian said grabbing her hand stopping her from going to Hunter.

Ariana felt the pull when Adrian touched her, she looked at Hunter and asked herself why she didn’t feel anything when Hunter touched her.

She was even more confused as who to believe. When Hunter hugged her, she felt uncomfortable, but when Adrian touched her, she felt like she trusted him. She held her head in pain, and Hunter went into panic and pushed Adrian away.

"Must you ruin everything for me?" He asked angrily.

"She is not your mate!" Adrian spoke.

"She was my mate; she was mine first. You bloodsuckers came and turned her for your own selfishness." Hunter rebuked trying to help Ariana, but she shrugged his hand off.

She held her head in pain and stumbled, but she refused anyone from helping.

"Was, like you said she was your mate, but how did you treat her?" Adrian asked.

"I apologized already, what more does she want?" Hunter said with arrogance.

"Do you really think that everything can be forgiven with an apology?" Adrian asked him.

"Do you think that she’ll forgive you when she knows you kidnapped her into forcing her to come back to you. To top it all you went and held a knife on our daughter, I haven’t delt with you yet." Adrian said and Ariana looked at him in shock.

Memories started flowing in Ariana’s head as Adrian kept speaking of the event.

"She was going to be mine again, she would forgive me. She wouldn’t need to care about that bastard, we would have made our own kids by then." Hunter shouted and a memory of Hunter holding a knife against Sophia rushed in.

"Where is Sophia?" Ariana asked stumbling holding her head.

"Ariana, do you remember Sophia?" Adrian asked coming closer to her.

Ariana nodded weakly and looked up at him.

"Adrian, you’re here!" She said and collapsed into his arms.

Hunter cursed when he saw that the Hypnosis didn’t work. Hunter looked Adrian with so much hate, if only Adrian could die then Ariana would come back to him.

"It’s hopeless now, she has recalled everything." Adrian said making Hunter to lose his mind even more.

Audrey and Travis arrived at the pack house and found all of them sitting there and waiting.

"Mom!" The girls called out to Audrey and rushed over to her.

"They’re not back yet?" Travis asked and they all shook their heads no.

"Where is Amelia?" Rosemary asked looking behind them.

"Amelia decided to stay back, she wants to try and face her fears." Audrey replied.

Audrey looked around and her eyes stopped on Adrian that was holding Sophia for dear life.

"What happened to her?" Audrey asked rushing over.

"That Hunter guy stabbed her." Tyler replied with anger.

"He did this, to a little child?" Travis asked in shock.

"She was greyish, and I gave her my blood to heal, but Samantha said she needs Ariana’s blood." Dylan replied.

"Sophia!" Ariana opened her eyes calling.

She looked and found herself in Adrian’s arms and hugged him tightly.

"Where is Sophia?" She asked looking around and her eyes stopped on Hunter.

"YOU!" She shouted with a murderous look in her eyes.

Ariana stood up and rushed to Hunter and grabbed him by the neck.

"How dare you?" She asked squeezing the neck a little tighter.

"How?" Hunter struggled to ask, the grip was like she had gotten her powers back, but it was impossible since this place, other than werewolves other supernatural being, their powers would not work here.

"I guess the power Scar left to me had been dormant all this time." She said and released him.

"I am going to teach you a hard lesson once and for all." she said and grabbed him by the neck.

Her natural instincts led her out of the place. Once they were outside, Ariana dragged Hunter by the neck across the ground.

Ariana dragged his body around the pack, everyone could see how humiliated their alpha was at the moment.
