REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 57: AARON’S MATE

It was around six by the time everyone finished, Ariana entered with Sophia on her hip.

Everyone was dressed casual, Ariana wanted to show them the lake. She had shown Adrian, but now she wanted to show the rest of her family.

Morgan was sitting on Ivan’s lap.

"Mom, there are plenty of seats. Why must you sit on dad?" Aaron asked his mother.

"You’ll understand the day you get your mate." Morgan replied.

"Shameless!" Aaron muttered under his breath.

Aaron always felt that his parents were too much, they were always being lovey dovey ignoring whoever was in the room. He wondered how they met.

"I think we can go now." Ariana said walking into the room.

"Let’s walk slow today like humans." Samantha suggested, she wanted them to enjoy the view.

They all nodded and went out the door. Dylan came over and took Sophia from Ariana. Ariana sighed but then she turned to Adrian and stretched out his hand.

Ariana and Adrian held hand as they walked. All the couples were holding hands while walking.

"I hate this!" Isabelle groaned out.

"What’s wrong sweetie?" Samantha turned to look at her daughter.

"This, this is what I hate." Isabelle said pointing at all of them.

"What?" Avery asked.

"Look at this, everyone is holding hands. Must you make us feel like thirds wheel?" Isabelle said with frustration.

"Look at those two, there is a huge age gap, but they are making me a third wheel." She groaned out pointing at Dylan and Sophia who was laughing at something Dylan said.

"There is Aaron next to you." Avery said pointing at Aaron.

"Aunt!" Isabelle called.

"What think of it as a brother holding his sister’s hand." Morgan spoke.

"Aaron hold her hand." Morgan instructed looking at her son.

"Mom!" Aaron groaned out.

There was reason why Aaron didn’t want to hold her hand. What if she felt the pull, what would he do. He was waiting for her to reach her maturity, then she would know as well.

"Aaron!" His mother warned and he had no choice but to do it.

"To hell with this. Whatever happens, happens." He said under his breath.

Everyone turned to look at him when they heard the words. What did he mean by that? That was the question that was dancing on their minds.

He took her hand and Isabelle turned to look at him in shock.

"You...you!" She stuttered.

"What is it Issy?" Samantha asked looking at her daughter whose face flushed.

"He...he!" She stuttered again and caused everyone to stop and look at them.

Aaron let her hand go and she felt the loss. She reached out and grabbed his hand again to make sure she was not hallucinating.

"Issy what is it? You are making me worried." Derek said looking at his daughter.

"He...he!" She just could find the words.

"He what?" Ivan asked.

"Aaron what did you do?" Ivan asked looking at his son who was looking everywhere except them.

"We’re mates!" He said out.

"WHAT?" Everyone shouted in shock.

"How? When?" Morgan asked in shock.

"Since when?" Samantha asked in shock.

"Did you see that one coming?" Avery asked turning towards Amelia.

"No, this is news to me as well." Amelia replied looking at the two in shock, she had seen Dylan and Sophia but this two shocked her.

"You’re my mate?" Isabelle asked in shock.

"Yes!" Aaron replied.

"Aaron, when did you find out?" Morgan asked staring at him.

"The day I reached my maturity." He replied.

"Why didn’t you tell anyone?" Derek asked, his daughter had her mate all this time with them.

"I didn’t know how." Aaron replied looking at the ground.

"Do we still go to the lake?" Tyler asked.

"Yes, let’s go there first we can discuss it there." Amelia replied and they walked in silence towards the lake.

Isabelle now knowing Aaron was her mate, she didn’t plan on letting go of his hand. Aaron looked at her and smiled, he was hoping after the war and when she reached her maturity she would know as well.

They arrived at the lake and instead of enjoying the view they all turned to them.

"Why didn’t we notice?" Austin asked looking at the two.

"I think it has to do with the fact that they were both were kids. They are only a year apart, so they can’t recognize each other." Amelia thought and spoke.

"Is that why you started to avoid her when you reached your maturity." Morgan asked remembering whenever she asked him to go and look after her, he would make sure she didn’t touch him.

"Yes, I wanted to wait until she reached her maturity, but then this war came along." He spoke looking away.

Aaron wanted to tell them, but everyone was busy worrying about the war.

"Is that why you said you were not in a rush to find your mate?" Morgan remembered the conversation they had the day they were training together.

"I don’t care; I have my mate now. You guys can do whatever you want now." Isabelle said hugging his arm.

"Some of us it took years in finding our mates, but these kids find theirs fast." Logan spoke.

Logan spent two hundred years without finding his mate, and he only found Amelia when he came to Svalbard.

"Well, at least now you don’t have to complain about being a third wheel." Samantha teased nudging Isabelle.

"Mom!" Isabelle said shyly trying to hide her face.

"Wow, this place is beautiful." Samanatha said looking around.

The moon shone reflecting on the lake, and surrounding the lake were flowers. There were fireflies around creating a magical appearance. Samantha looked around and forgot about Isabelle and Aaron.

"It’s beautiful isn’t it?" Ariana asked looking at them.

"This was your comfort?" Amelia blurted out the words before she could stop them from coming.

"Hmm!" Ariana nodded.

"I used to come here to get away from the abuse. I would look at the moon and ask the Moon Goddess why she gave me this life. There were times when I felt like suicide would be the best option, but I would chicken out. Sometimes I prayed that my mate would take me away from this place." She said and turned to look at Adrian.

"It seems like my prayer was answered. You took me away from this pack, gave me a new life, a new family. Everything I always hoped for, you made them come true." She spoke and Adrian hugged her.

"Aunt, this pack didn’t appreciate you, but we know how special you are." Isabelle said to her.

"I know, I am happy to have you guys." Ariana said smiling at all of them.

"Ariana you always get sentimental!" Avery complained.

"Sorry!" Ariana apologized smiling.

"Yes, I got my mate today, should we celebrate about it?" Isabelle asked letting go of Aaron.

"Issy, you’re still young but that mouth of yours." Samantha scolded.

"Mom, don’t ruin it for me. I still haven’t dealt with him." She said glaring at Aaron.

"What did he do?" Derek asked.

"He tried to hide from me." She replied and punched his leg.

"Issy!" Aaron called out and she turned to away from him.

"He’s making me weak on my knees." She said going to her mother.

"But you never felt weak in the before when he used to call you?" Samantha asked staring at her daughter.

"Since the day Aaron recognized her as his mate but didn’t touch her the bond remained hidden. Today when they touched hands, it awaked the bond which was why she was shocked at first." Amelia explained.

"Didn’t you always say that your father and I make you a third wheel, well now you have your own mate, so got to him." Samantha said and pushed her towards Aaron.

"Mom!" Isabelle turned to her mother in shock.

Derek watched his witty daughter who always had something to say, was at loss for words today. He laughed when he saw the overconfident daughter turn into a kitten now.

"Today someone is at loss for words." Rosemary teased looking at the now shy Isabelle.

Isabelle played with her fingers; she would glance up at Aaron from time to time.

"Auntie!" Isabelle whined, but she couldn’t say anything more.

"This is perfect, she will be less talkative from now on." Austin teased.

"Uncle!" She whined again.

"Ignore them." Aaron said and pulled her to sit with him.

Samantha looked at the two of them and felt like they were a perfect pair. Aaron was someone who was always quiet while Isabelle was someone that could talk your ear off.

Aaron looked at Isabelle and felt all the strength that he used to hold himself from going to her vanish. There was no need for him to hold himself back anymore, the fact that they lived under one roof was torturous for him.

It was one of the reasons why he was obsessed with training, and he used the excuse of wanting to enhance his powers to get away from the house. There were times when he would sneak into her room but would hold himself from touching her.
