REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 55: TRAINING BEGINS
Chapter 55: Chapter 55: TRAINING BEGINS
The next day Ariana and Adrian went downstairs to join their family.
"You guys were really loud last night." Amelia said when they walked in.
"You mean..." Ariana looked at them.
"Yes, the whole pack did." Olivia said shaking her head.
"I’m blushing just thinking about it." Rosemary teased.
"Mommy!" Sophia called out to her mother.
Ariana looked at her daughter and squatted down to her level.
"Yes baby!" She replied.
"Are you okay?" Sophia asked with her big eyes, making Ariana confused as to why Sophia was asking her if she was okay.
"I heard you screaming last night, I thought daddy was hitting you. Bad man!" Sophia said and sent a glare towards Adrian.
Ariana covered her mouth in shock and looked at them, but they all looked away.
"You guys were so loud, she even wanted to come find you." Samantha said trying to hide her laugh.
"No baby, daddy was not hitting mommy." Ariana said feeling embarrassed, she sent Adrian a glare.
"Daddy didn’t hit you?" Sophia asked looking at her father.
"No, mommy and daddy were playing a game." Ariana thought for a long time, this was the best answer she could give.
"Can I join?" Sophia asked and made all of them freeze on the spot.
Ariana scratched her neck; she turned to look at Adrian. The rest of them just sat there enjoying the show.
"No baby, daddy and mommy were playing a grown-up game." She replied looking elsewhere.
"Ariana thanks to you, I had nothing to say to Issy." Samantha replied chuckling.
"I feel ashamed to even go out to training." Ariana said covering her face.
Adrian with his jealousy was not satisfied even after five rounds.
"Aunt, uncle please remember that this house doesn’t have soundproof like ours." Aaron said walking into the room, and it was at this moment that Ariana wished she could find a hole to hide in.
"It won’t happen." Ariana replied feeling her face getting hot.
Adrian just watched her feeling embarrassed and just stood there not saying anything. Ariana stood up and hit his arm lightly.
"Let’s go now!" Logan said looking at the time.
They had ten minutes left before the training begins, they walked into the big training ground. Ariana told Sophia and Isabelle to sit close to each other. They were the only kids in their family, and she didn’t trust this pack to leave them at the packhouse by themselves.
"Isabelle look after your sister okay." Samantha instructed and Isabelle nodded pulling Sophia closer to her.
They decided to pair into two, two to test the strength of each opponent, the training was about to begin but Hunter was still nowhere to be found.
"Ava, where is Hunter?" Bradley asked when he noticed that Hunter was not there.
"I don’t know?" Ava replied, Hunter didn’t even give her face.
Hunter always acted as he wants. Hunter stepped into the training ground; everyone could smell the alcohol on him.
He passed the packhouse and heard Ariana and Adrian, he could not deny that he was hurt. Another man was touching what was once his, he could not take it and went to drink at the bar.
"What an alpha, he shows up drunk." One of the warlocks in mockery and they looked at him.
"I’m fine!" Hunter said and turned to look at Ariana who was laughing at something Adrian said.
Hunter felt a pang in his chest, he looked at his father who shook his head in disappointment.
"Let’s begin." Someone said and they all moved to pair up with someone.
"I’ll pair with you!" Hunter said approaching Ariana.
"I made myself clear yesterday." She replied looking at him coldly.
"I know, but this is training for the war isn’t it." He spoke.
"Fine, this is training anyways." She said shrugging her shoulders, what could happen.
As the training began, Hunter tried to get a hit, but she always managed to dodge it, she would flip him, and he would land on the ground on his back.
Ava was one on one combat with Amelia. Amelia didn’t miss any opportunity to beat her in the name of training. For instance, when Ava attempted to kick her, Amelia was quick to dodge and appeared behind her and kicked her, causing Ava to fall first om her knees.
The warlocks were not bad in combats as they described, in fact they were better than the werewolves. Maybe it was due to the fact that they were badly wounded in the attack, but given with their healing ability, they should have been healed by now.
"Okay, let’s call it a day." Hunter’s father said.
"Ariana, the pack need you. You can see that despite having been healed, they are not strong enough." Hunter said when Ariana turned to walk away.
"Are you really going to be selfish? This is your pack as well." He said accusing her.
"Selfish? Yes, you can say I am. This pack was never mine." She replied not looking back.
"Alpha Hunter!" Amelia and Rosemary walked towards them.
Hunter looked up to see Amelia walking towards them and his face changed. Who did she think was to come and disrupt their conversation. It was like these vampires were just everywhere whenever he wanted to talk to Ariana. freewёbnoνel.com
"We’re done!" Ariana said ending the conversation.
"There will be evaluation shortly after everyone freshened up. You should go as well." Amelia said looking at him sharply.
"Done?" Rosemary asked Ariana and she nodded.
"That was so bad, even Aaron was better than them when he was still young." Rosemary said when they started walking.
"They say we rely on our powers, but we still beat them in combats." Amelia spoke and the three walked away laughing.
"I never knew the werewolves were that bad." The warlocks gathered together saying.
The warlocks usually their training consisted of them learning how to enhance their magic, hence combat training they didn’t much of it.
Ariana, Rosemary and Amelia walked towards Sophia and Isabelle.
"Are you guys tired." Amelia asked when she saw them drowsy.
"Come, I’ll carry you back." Rosemary squatted down and Isabelle hoped on.
Ariana picked Sophia who wrapped her small hands around her mother’s neck and buried her hand in her neck.
"How was training?" Morgan asked Aaron as they walked together.
"I think I prefer training alone." Aaron replied.
"I thought that they would be stronger than that." Morgan said with disappointment.
"I guess now they don’t have a power bank to." Dylan’s voice came from behind.
"Why are you here?" Aaron asked shrugging off Dylan’s hand from his shoulder.
"Where else would I be?" Dylan asked back.
"With your mate!" Aaron replied, Dylan was always with Sophia.
If you couldn’t fine Sophia, all you need to know was where Dylan was and that’s where you will find Sophia.
"Sophia is with her mom. I thought of spending some time with my nephew." Dylan replied.
Logan went to freshen up, when he was done, he went to the meeting. Fortunately, this meeting didn’t need everyone, but one the leaders.
"According to the evaluation, the werewolves are mostly lacking in the combat." Logan spoke up.
"So, what will happen now?" Hunter asked.
"I think the werewolves starts taking this training serious." Logan replied.
"That’s true, while I was training with one of them, aside from complaining there was nothing else she could do." The warlock leader said.
"We only have two weeks of training in combats, before we move to magic training." The warlock leader said.
Since the werewolves didn’t have any powers, what they were going to do was to use those extra two weeks and train amongst themselves.
The minute finished and Hunter returned to the house that he shares with Ava and their child.
"Where were you yesterday?" She asked as soon as he walked in.
"Ava, please I am tired." He said turning to go to his room.
"Hunter!" He ignored her calling; she decided to follow him into his room.
"Hunter, I heard what you said." She said pushing the door open.
"You want to leave us and go and be with her. She is not even one of us now." Ava said recalling Ariana’s red eyes.
"Ava, I said I was tired." Hunter said without looking at her.
"She will not give you a chance, our daughter has been asking about you, and I don’t know what to say now." Ava replied, Hunter would even spend an entire month without going home.
"Ava, there is a lot of issue happening. This pack need their luna." Hunter spoke.
"And what am I?" She asked him, despite how she always did her luna.
"Ava, the pack needs her back." He tried to reason with her.
"What makes you think that she’ll come back to this pack. " Ava asked him.
"I will convince her, she’s not that selfish that she won’t care about the lives in this pack." Hunter replied.
"That is your mistake." Ava said and slammed the door behind her.
