REJECTED ONCE, FROZEN FOREVER-Chapter 46: BENNET FRIGHTENED

Ariana looked at her two months child who now looked like she was two years old.

In the past two months the attacks happened to all the supernatural beings, the vampire and warlocks had been ready didn’t suffer too much damage, however the werewolf took a lot of damage and lost many of their warriors.

Ariana having a newborn stayed at home, while the rest of the family went to fight.

"Come here princess!" Dylan said opening his arms.

When Sophia saw Dylan, she beamed with joy and ran into his arms. Dylan wrapped his arms around her picking her up.

"I missed you." She said snuggling into his neck.

"Me too!" He replied.

Ariana looked at them and shook her head, despite Sophia being baby, Dylan was always there.

At times Sophia would only want Dylan to hold her. Only Ariana and Dylan could manage to make her fall asleep.

"Was she fed already?" Dylan asked looking at Ariana.

"Yeah, I already fed her. You can take her, she has been asking for you." Ariana replied.

"What do you want to do princess?" Dylan asked looking down at her.

"I want to watch cartoon." She replied.

Dylan smiled and they both went to the cinema room.

Aaron went into the field to practice his powers, upon reaching his maturity, his powers were ice manipulation like his mother.

"Am I doing it right?" He asked turning to his mother.

"Yes, you always do." She said proudly.

"Are you also anxious to find your mate?" Morgan asked and sat on the grass.

"Not really. With the war going on all I want is to be strong enough to keep you safe." He replied sitting down next to her.

"Even I want to protect, even if I die in the war, I will make sure you are safe." Morgan says to her son.

"You’re the best, and when the time is right, and you find your mate she’ll be lucky to have you." Morgan said.

"Let’s head back inside." She said standing up.

Ariana waved goodbye to Sophia and went for her class. In the past two years she decided to university and studied to become a doctor.

She looked at her green eye contacts, she wore contacts whenever she was going to campus. Looking at her contacts she was reminded of her old self before becoming a vampire.

She walked on campus.

"Ariana did you hear that there will be a pop quiz this afternoon." She saw her human friend Carrie say.

"Let me guess, you didn’t study." Ariana said putting her hands on her hip.

"In my defense, I forgot about it." She said in surrender.

Despite the attacks happening Ariana still came to school. She had taken two weeks off when she got pregnant, how was she going to explain each passing day her stomach growing bigger.

She would have gotten the attention of the hunters. Hunters had always proven to be a problem in their world. This time was serious it seems like they were going to have a hard time defeating them.

"Let’s go to class." Ariana said and they both walked into the class together.

"I can copy from you right?" Carrie asked as they sat down.

"Sure, as long as you don’t get caught." Ariana replied nodding.

After the test was done, Ariana and Carrie walked out the classroom. Carrie released an exaggerated sigh.

"What now?" Ariana asked in a teasing tone.

"Who knew that that test would count 20%." Carried spoke.

"You lucky for not getting caught." Ariana said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah I’ll make sure to study next time." Carried replied holding three fingers up in a swear.

"Look, it seems your boyfriend is here." Carrie said pointing at Adrian’s car.

"I’ll get going." Ariana said and they hugged goodbye.

Ariana walked to Adrian’s car and opened the door. The first thing Ariana did was to take the contacts off.

"That bad?" Adrian said looking at her.

"You have no idea." She replied putting them back into their container.

Back in Svalbard, the council gathered in the meeting, all the five leaders and their subordinates sat around in the meeting.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Bennet’s voice in frustration.

"Countless werewolves have lost their lives." Bennet said being reminded of the loss.

"Is it only the werewolf that lost. What about the fairies that lost their lives." Kilian who was the fairy king said.

"Only the vampires and warlocks didn’t lose much." Bennet said bitterly.

"That’s because we took the warning and were prepared. Weren’t you waiting for something to happen." Aurelio replied sarcastically.

"You were not around A hundred- and fifty-years ago, right?" Aurelio asked looking at Bennet.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Bennet asked.

"If you were, you would have known to take that girl serious." Aurelio replied.

"Well, where is she now?" Bennet asked impatiently.

"She’ll come. When she come it would be wise to let go of that attitude." Aurelio warned.

"Why? Is she that important? This is what I always say, and you proved me right." Bennet spoke.

"How so?" Adriel asked.

"You warlocks and vampires always try to show off your powers. You think you’re above everyone else." Bennet said standing up.

"You’ve met her, but you’ve never met her when she is angry." Aurelio replied.

"Why do you think in this entire city the vampires are terrified of her regardless of age." Aurelio spoke up.

"I have given you, my warning. She is not someone that should be made angry." Aurelio said giving up.

When it came down to stubbornness Bennet always stood at the top. He believed what he wanted to believe. Spoke anyhow he wanted, did whatever please him.

"Keep your stubbornness, don’t say I didn’t warn you." Aurelio said dropping the topic.

"Back to the matter at hand, how are we going to defend ourselves now?" He asked.

"We have lost so many, and the ones left are all badly injured." Bennet said sitting down.

"Your majesties miss Amelia is here." A guard reported walking in.

"Mind yourself!" Aurelio turned to Bennet warning.

They all looked at the door seeing Amelia walking in with Logan.

"Why is he here?" Bennet asked rudely.

"Why would he not?" Amelia questioned back.

"Little girl, mind your place." Bennet warned.

"I’m way older than you, you better watch your tone." Amelia warned.

She walked with Logan and they both sat down.

"You can’t sit there." One of the subordinates said in an arrogant tone.

"Who will stop me? You!" She replied lifting her head to him.

"You!" The guy pointed.

"If I were you, I’d put that finger down." Logan warned.

"See my point, you guys walk in as if you’re in charge of everything." Bennet said angrily.

"Aurelio, did you call me here to be insulted?" Amelia questioned turning to Aurelio.

"You know that I lose control whenever I’m back in this city. If you guys want to question me then I’ll leave." She said getting up from the seat.

Logan took her hand to calm her down.

"Bennet, I suggest you keep quiet from now on." Aurelio said with a hint of anger in his tone.

"I..." Bennet wanted to speak but with a glance from Aurelio he kept quiet.

"Bennet if you can keep quiet it would be best for everyone." Kilian said looking at the werewolf king.

"Bennet, don’t forget that this meeting is to help your werewolves that have lost a lot of warriors." Aurelio warned.

"Miss Amelia, please forgive him." Kilian said apologetically.

Even if he didn’t like the vampire, the matter at hand was more important than his pride.

"It’s fine, but like I asked, why am I called here?" She questioned.

"We wanted to know how to defeat them." Kilian said politely.

"The fact that when I was here last time, I clearly warned you. Bennet if you think that vampire take advantage of their powers, why did you shun your own kind from using their powers?" She questioned looking at him.

Bennet was caught off guard opened his mouth but then closed it again. It wasn’t a lie that he had brought that law.

"Do you have any idea how many people suffered because of that law?" She asked remembering the suffering that Ariana went through.

"You said that you’re being threatened, when in fact it is you who wanted to be one of the chosen one who received powers but didn’t. So, you became bitter about it." She said exposing his facade.

"How is it? I can go deeper if you want." She said warning.

Fear crossed his eyes, the past that he tried so much to bury she knew of it. Things that no one else knew seemed like she knew.

"That is the sole reason why in the city they’re scared of her." Aurelio’s assistant went and whispered in his ear.

Bennet looked at the assistant in shock and the assistant nodded. He turned to Amelia and seeing her cold eyes, he felt a shiver.

"I’m sorry!" He apologized.

"Now that everything is sorted let’s start." She said and turned to the rest of them.
