Lin Xi smiled happily. When she smiled, it was as if spring had arrived in full bloom, making the rest of the world pale in comparison.
Xue Yang smiled as he walked over and extended his hand. She naturally placed her own into his palm. With a gentle pull, Xue Yang drew her into his embrace.
"Thank you for the compliment!"
"You’re welcome. It’s well deserved."
Si Wen glanced at herself, then back at Lin Xi. Clearly, she was standing right there, too. She and Lin Xi were even wearing matching Lolita outfits and identical hairstyles.
Yet, in a certain person’s eyes, there was only Lin Xi.
It wasn’t jealousy that Si Wen felt, but this feeling of being the sole focus of someone’s attention... it was something she truly envied. When would she find a knight of her own?!
She spoke up, "How about it? Shall I get a knight’s uniform ready for you? A princess and her knight—a perfect match."
"That’s not necessary. I’m fine like this, thank you."
Si Wen walked over, sizing him up. "You do look quite good," she said earnestly. "But you’re missing something."
"What’s that?"
"Something every man needs, of course."
Xue Yang furrowed his brow, confused.
"Oh, he has one," Lin Xi said. "I already bought it."
She took a small gift box out of her bag. Just from the packaging, it was clear that the item inside was not cheap.
"These are custom-made matching watches, one for each of us. That way, even if we’re apart, whenever we miss each other, we’ll know we’re sharing the same moment."
Lin Xi placed the men’s watch on Xue Yang’s wrist.
Once he put on the watch, Xue Yang’s entire aura seemed to rise a level, if not more.
Some people just seem to be born for luxury. It didn’t matter what an item was worth; on him, it always looked right.
"Thank you, I love it."
"You’re welcome, it’s my pleasure."
Xue Yang picked up the other watch and helped her put it on. The act felt like they were exchanging tokens of love with a witness present.
And that witness, of course, was Si Wen.
With the watches on, Xue Yang and Lin Xi held out their hands, the timepieces resting on their wrists with a sacred, solemn air.

She pulled Lin Xi ahead by the arm, while Xue Yang followed behind like a gentleman.
"Did you tell him the watch you gave him is worth a million?" Si Wen whispered, her arm linked with Lin Xi’s.
Others might not know, but a young lady like Miss Si, who had grown up around custom-made private collections, could tell its value at a glance. The watch Lin Xi gave Xue Yang was Xiang Naier’s new custom model for the year.
It was the only pair in the world, with each watch valued at a million.
Those in the know understood that the price was just one aspect; its collectible value was what truly mattered. An item like this would only become more valuable over time. In less than ten years, its price would surely double.
"No," Lin Xi said nonchalantly.
"Why didn’t you tell him?"
"Because it’s a symbol of my feelings, and you can’t put a price on that."
"You..." Si Wen was suddenly at a loss for words.
Lin Xi’s way of thinking might not have been wrong, but from Si Wen’s point of view, you should always let the other person know the full extent of a gesture. Otherwise, what was the point?
Lin Xi just smiled, not paying it much mind. In her eyes, Xue Yang deserved the best of everything.
When they arrived at the hotel entrance, a bodyguard was already standing by the Rolls-Royce, waiting for them. After getting into the car, Lin Xi once again sat in the middle, with Xue Yang and Si Wen on either side.
As the capital of the Dragon Country, the prosperity of Yancheng went without saying. However, while Kou City couldn’t compare to Yancheng, it did boast the largest amusement park in the Dragon Country and its tallest Ferris wheel. Every winter, countless couples flocked here to ride it. On top of that, today was a Saturday during the New Year’s Day holiday, so one could only imagine how crowded it was.
Si Wen had originally intended to book out the entire venue, in keeping with her usual grand style. However, Lin Xi argued that for this kind of large-scale entertainment, the more people, the merrier. Clearing out the venue would ruin half the fun. Booking out a hotel was one thing, as it was best for one’s lodgings to be quiet, but an amusement park was different.
So, Si Wen dropped the idea.
The combination of a handsome man and two beautiful women was bound to attract attention anywhere, and onlookers soon began to comment.
"That guy is so lucky, huh? Having two gorgeous women with him."
"If I could go to an amusement park with two girls that pretty, I’d die a happy man. Forget two, just one of them would be enough for me."

The line for the Ferris wheel was long. With Lin Xi and Si Wen being so beautiful and cute, Xue Yang naturally took on the role of a knight guarding his two princesses. He had them stand in front while he stood behind, preventing anyone from using the crowd as an excuse to get too close.
Sure enough, it wasn’t long before people in the back started trying to push forward.
Xue Yang braced his hands on the railings on either side. When someone from behind tried to push, a single glare from him was enough to make them back down immediately. The person who had pushed was stunned. He couldn’t believe it; this was just a young man, but his stare was genuinely intimidating.
After waiting for nearly half an hour, it was finally their turn. With help from the staff, the three of them got into a cabin. Once the gate was secured, the Ferris wheel began its slow ascent.
As it rose, the entire landscape of Kou City unfolded beneath them. Looking down on the city from high above, they took in the skyscrapers, the bustling traffic, and the swarms of people below, feeling a sense of awe that was hard to put into words.
Looking at the scenery, Lin Xi said, "This is my first time on a Ferris wheel."
"I hate to admit it, but this is my first time, too," said Si Wen.
"Same here," Xue Yang added. "My first time."
"I heard that if you kiss the one you love when the Ferris wheel reaches the very top, you’ll be together forever," Si Wen chimed in.
Then, it suddenly dawned on her.
