Reincarnation of The Villainess: She Has The Duke's Baby!-Chapter 42: #-I Won’t Let You Go Anymore!
"Things like this often happen to young pregnant women in the early stages of their pregnancy."
The doctor’s explanation made Sarah and Rosaline Amber breathe a sigh of relief. The two women looked at each other, then smiled at Penelope who was fast asleep. Her face was still red from the fever, but not as red as before. Luckily, Rosaline managed to find a doctor not too far from the Askary family’s summer house, so she didn’t have to keep her Lady waiting too long.
"I will give some medicine and vitamins to Lady Penelope. Please give it to her after meals every day." The doctor took out several medicines for Penelope. The old man smiled at Sarah and Rosaline who still looked panicked and anxious in their respective places. "You don’t have to worry like that. Tonight or tomorrow, your Lady will be well again. Trust me. I’m used to dealing with things like this."
"It’s not like that," Sarah said, waving her hand. "Earlier, you said to give medicine to My Lady after My Lady ate. But, My Lady can never even put food into her stomach. She is always nauseous and vomits food that gets into her body."
The old man nodded. "That is also a common thing that happens to pregnant women. I’ll give her some medicine to cure her nausea. I will also give vitamins that can make her have an appetite. You don’t have to worry. Everything will be fine." The doctor gave the medicines and vitamins to Sarah. "If anything happens, you guys know where to find me."
Rosaline Amber nodded and helped the old man to get up from his chair. "Let me take you back to your home."
After the doctor finished examining Penelope Askary’s condition, Sarah immediately covered the woman’s body up to her chest. Then, Sarah went to the kitchen to prepare warm soup for her Lady. A few minutes after Sarah left Penelope’s room, the woman woke up. She blinked and touched her own forehead.
"I still have a fever," Penelope muttered. She tried to get up from her lying position, even though it was quite difficult. Then, Penelope leaned against the head of the bed and took a deep breath. "But, my body is no longer as weak as before. Have they given me medicine?" The woman looked around. No one was there. "But, I seem to have sensed someone’s presence before I fell asleep. Didn’t someone just come in and rub my head gently until I fell asleep?"
Penelope held her stomach and rubbed it. The woman smiled "Honey, are you hungry? If you are hungry, you must eat. That’s why, don’t throw up the food that Mother was going to eat for the two of us again, okay?"
"My Lady!"
Penelope turned and smiled at Sarah while waving her hand. Sarah ran toward the bed and put the food and drink she brought on the table. Then, Sarah knelt beside the bed and held Penelope’s hand tightly. The woman was crying, making Penelope wide-eyed and panicked.
"Sarah! Why are you crying? What is it? Are there monsters around here?" Penelope asked. "Where is Dame Rosaline? If Dame Rosaline can’t handle the monster, should we call Big Brother Ethan and tell him to come?"
Sarah shook her head and rested her face on the back of Penelope’s hand. This made Penelope frown in confusion. Sarah’s hands were so cold right now. "My Lady, do you know how worried Dame Rosaline and I were? My Lady has a high fever and won’t eat. We called the doctor and the doctor said, things like that are normal for young mothers who are pregnant. But, we are still worried, My Lady. You get thin. You can’t give food to the baby in your womb. What if something bad happens to you and your baby?"
Penelope blinked and she smiled gently. She held out her other hand and stroked Sarah’s head lovingly. This woman really loves her and is very loyal to her. They are both the same age. Maybe that’s what made the original Penelope Askary always let Sarah be by her side in the original novel. Oops, she meant her in her first life. Sometimes, Penelope forgets and still thinks Penelope Askary is a character in the novel, even though Goddess Elleia has told her that she is the real Penelope Askary.
"I’m sorry I made you worry, Sarah," Penelope said in a gentle tone. She told Sarah to raise her head. "I promise I won’t do it again."
Sarah, who was still crying, nodded. "In that case, My Lady should eat now. The doctor gave medicine so My Lady could eat without feeling nauseous again."
Penelope laughed and let Sarah take care of things. The woman turned toward the window. She could see some leaves falling from the tree. Then, Penelope hallucinated again. She saw Edmund Gerwyn standing beside the tree. The man smiled gently at her and gave her a warm look. Edmund also waved his hand at Penelope, making Penelope’s heart beat so hard. What’s wrong with her? Why had she been hallucinating lately of seeing Edmund Gerwyn? Why did she always think of that man and miss him? Was it because of the baby in her womb or... she had started to have feelings for that cruel Duke?
"My Lady?"
Sarah’s call made Penelope flinch. The woman smiled and shook her head. "It’s okay Sarah. I’m just thinking about something. Oh Dear, did you make that soup, Sarah? It smells so good and makes me hungry!"

Edgar and Evan could only stay silent and waited by the door of Edmund Gerwyn’s study.
"Hey, Duke Edmund has been like this for two days. He locked himself in his study, would not sleep, would not eat. What really happened, Edgar?" Evan asked in a whisper. The Gerwyn family’s butler glanced at the Duke with a worried glance. "At this rate, only the goddess Elleia knows when that man will lay sick and helpless in his bed."
Edgar took a deep breath and massaged his temples. He still remembered how Edmund Gerwyn knelt before Ethan Askary and begged the man to tell him where Penelope Askary was. Edmund even admitted to Ethan that he loves Penelope. However, Ethan’s words at that time made Edmund unable to react.
"You love my little sister?! Ha! Do you think I’m going to let you love Penny and take her away from me and this family?! I won’t, Duke Edmund! You have ruined my little sister’s life! You hate her, don’t you? You hate her to the point that you once pointed your sword at her neck and intended to kill her! You make Penny scared every day and cry every day. I don’t know if you already know about this or not, but I’m sure you do considering you’re a Duke who can get any information you want! You made my little sister that I adore so much pregnant before she got married, Duke Edmund! And, just so you know, I’m not letting you have Penny and her child! I’m not going to let you become a part of Penny and her child! I will raise Penny’s child! I won’t let that child have a father like you, who once intended to kill the child’s mother!"
Edgar worked up the courage to approach Edmund Gerwyn. The man looked even more messy than before. All the work is not finished. His body became thin because he never ate regularly. Currently, Edmund was sitting on one of the sofas, lifting his legs on the table. In his hand was a glass filled with alcohol. On the table, there are also several bottles of alcohol.
"Your Grace," Edgar called. It had been two days since they returned to the imperial capital. According to information, the Crown Prince had also returned to the palace because of the Emperor’s order. "There is an order from His Highness the Emperor. His Highness the Emperor asked you to go to the North to exterminate the monsters that suddenly appeared and rampaged there."
Edmund drank the alcohol again and laughed. A mocking laugh. His blue eyes seemed to shine in this dark room. He looked at Edgar who immediately lowered his head in fear of those cold and sharp eyes.
"Not even the imperial knights could beat those monsters, so the Emperor had to order me to go there," Edmund growled. He threw his glass at the wall, causing Edgar and Evan to flinch and swallow hard. "Should I think about this empire when I don’t even know where my little bunny and the child she is carrying are?!" Edmund stood up and threw all the papers that were on his desk. The man could not control the anger inside him. His jaw clenched, his teeth gritted, and his hands clenched tightly. He punched the wall beside him repeatedly until his fist was cut and bleeding again. Edgar and Evan wanted to stop the Duke, but they both realized that no one else could stop him besides Penelope Askary.
Edmund growled again and laughed loudly. He combed his hair back using his fingers. His face was pale, his eyes were bloodshot, and there were dark circles under his eyes. The man already looked like a living corpse. Like a man who has lost his mind.
"Must I destroy this empire so that Penelope can come back to my arms with our child? If she hears the news that I destroyed the De Louis empire, won’t that woman come and try to comfort me?"
The crazy words that came out of Edmund’s mouth gave Edgar and Evan goosebumps. Edgar cleared his throat and tried to speak again. Hoping that this time, he could calm Edmund down a bit.
"Your Grace, can’t you look for Princess Penelope if you go to the North to exterminate those monsters?"
Edmund was silent. The man thought about Edgar’s words for a moment. The man was absolutely right. He could kill the damn monsters and find Penelope.
"Prepare the people who will go with me to the North," said Edmund coldly. "I will kill those monsters who dare to disturb my peace and I will bring them to the imperial palace as a gift to the Emperor."

Penelope was feeling much better than three days ago.
The woman stretched her muscles and smiled broadly. The cool air today made Penelope feel happy. She rubbed her belly and looked down. After knowing she was pregnant, Penelope always got used to talking to the baby in her stomach. It was knowledge she had acquired in her old world while still being Sienna.
"Honey, the air is so fresh today. So, let’s go for a walk and find some good food." Penelope smiled and put on the black robe that Rosaline gave her just now. "Thank you, Dame Rosaline. Today, please look after me, my baby, and Sarah again."
Rosaline smiled and nodded. "I am prepared to risk my life to protect you, My Lady."
The three women left for the town square. There, there are so many kinds of foods and drinks. Penelope, who had gotten some medicine to increase her appetite from a doctor, immediately bought whatever food she saw. Even though it’s not very visible, Penelope’s stomach has started to grow. This made Penelope very happy and could not wait until the baby was born into this world. Will the baby look like her? Or... will the baby be more like the baby’s father, Edmund Gerwyn? Ah, the thought of Edmund made Penelope smile sadly and look down. The woman is forced to admit that she misses Edmund and is likely starting to have feelings for the man. Penelope doesn’t know what made her start to have feelings for Edmund. Maybe the baby in her womb is the main cause of this.
"But, he only loves Isabella Lysander and hates me. I will die in his hands. That’s my fate," Penelope muttered.
"What, My Lady? What did you say just now?"
Penelope blinked and laughed. She shook her head at Sarah and cleared her throat.
"I told you, all the food here is really good. I’m confused about which one to buy first."
"Just buy them all, My Lady. If you want to eat it all, if your baby wants to eat it all, there’s nothing to think about." Sarah patted her chest proudly. "I will try all this food before you eat it, My Lady so that nothing bad happens to you."
Penelope and Rosaline looked at each other and chuckled. Suddenly, everyone screamed while running. Penelope, Sarah, and Rosaline looked around in panic. Rosaline immediately pulled out her sword and tried to protect Penelope and Sarah.
"My Lady, don’t move away from me!" Rosaline screamed. However, when she turned around, Penelope Askary was no longer there. This made Rosaline widen her eyes and look frantically for Penelope. "My Lady?! My Lady!"
Sarah, who had also been pushed back by the running people, searched frantically for Penelope.
Meanwhile, Penelope, who was pushed by the people running to avoid the monsters that suddenly appeared, started to panic. She tried to find a place to hide. The woman ran while clutching her stomach, not realizing that one of the monsters was waiting for her in front. When Penelope looked up and stopped running, the woman’s eyes widened. By reflex, she hugged her stomach as she crouched down and closed her eyes.
"Anyone, please help me and my baby," Penelope muttered in a frustrated tone. "Ed! Help us!"
The sound of someone growling made Penelope flinch and open her eyes slowly. In front of her, a black-haired man had just killed the monster. His blade was covered in blood and the monster’s corpse was right in front of him. Slowly, Penelope stood up. She gulped and tried to control her wild pounding heart. She could recognize that black hair, as well as his posture, anywhere.
"Ed...?" Penelope called in disbelief. She had just been pleading in her heart for Edmund to come to save her and their baby, and now that man had actually appeared in front of her? Is this the hallucination again? Did she really fall in love with that man?
Hearing his name being called even though in a low voice, Edmund turned his head. That cold and merciless expression slowly disappeared. His blue eyes trembled. Edmund let go of his sword and walked slowly toward the black-robed woman in front of him. The woman he loved, the one he had been looking for for over a week, the one he had missed. The woman who is pregnant with his child. Then, Edmund ran and immediately hugged Penelope tightly.
Penelope was speechless. She didn’t know how to react. This man always appears in her dreams every night. This man was the person she missed so much and subconsciously cultivated new feelings in her heart.
"Am I dreaming?" whispered Edmund. He closed both eyes. "Is this really you, Penelope? Are you really standing in front of me right now?" Edmund let go of his embrace and pulled down the hood that hid Penelope’s face. Then, the man cupped Penelope’s face and brought his forehead to hers. He closed his eyes again. "I found you. I will never let you go again, Penelope Askary. You and the baby you are carrying, the both of you are mine."
