News about Edmund Gerwyn’s rampage in his own mansion reached Ethan Askary’s ears.
The blue-haired and red-eyed man coughed while drinking his tea when Robert, one of the Askary family’s knights, told him the news. His red eyes widened. He almost shouted if he didn’t remember his parents were in the next room. Ethan didn’t want to make his parents worry because Penelope was at Gerwyn’s mansion right now. The man immediately stood up from his chair and prepared to go to Gerwyn’s mansion.
"Robert, are you sure about the news you brought to me just now? Edmund Gerwyn went berserk?" asked Ethan to make sure. He walked with fast steps toward the carriage of the Askary family.
"I am sure, Young Master," replied Robert. "Philleo Aaron was also injured trying to calm Duke Edmund down."
Ethan’s hands clenched tightly at his sides. His red eyes were sharp and cold. His heart was beating so fast, making Ethan afraid it would explode.
"Why can Duke Edmund go on a rampage? Then, what about my little sister?" Ethan stopped walking and turned to look at Robert. "Is Penny all right, Sir Robert?"
"I don’t really know, Young Master. The only news I got was news regarding Duke Edmund’s rampage and also the many knights who were injured. There was not a single piece of news regarding Lady Penelope and the reason behind Duke Edmund’s rampage. The Crown Prince is heading to Gerwyn’s mansion to interrogate everyone including Duke Edmund."
Ethan becomes increasingly concerned about his little sister’s condition. Why did Penelope always get into trouble with the cold and cruel Duke? He needed to get to Gerwyn’s mansion soon. If I use the carriage, it will take a long time. Ethan looked at Robert firmly.
"Robert, get my horse ready," Ethan said. "I have to get there soon. You come with me. Call Jonathan and Mario too."

Ethan was forced to stop running when a man stood in front of him with a smile. From his clothes, Ethan guessed that the man was a butler in this mansion.
"Welcome, Prince Ethan," Evan greeted with a bow. "You must want to meet Princess Penelope, right? Please, follow me. Princess Penelope is fine and currently eating in the room."
Ethan nodded and followed Evan. Behind Ethan, Robert, Jonathan, and Mario followed. Ethan immediately entered the room that Evan had just opened and ran toward the bed. There, Penelope was sitting and eating the fruit that was on the plate.
"Brother Ethan?" Penelope called in a surprised tone. "Why is Big Brother here?"
Ethan hurriedly hugged his little sister’s tiny body. He stroked Penelope’s blue hair lovingly, then cupped her face and kissed her forehead. Ethan’s red eyes flashed with worry and relief at the same time.
"Penny! My God, are you all right, Honey?" asked Ethan in a panicked tone. "Do you know how shocked I was when I heard this news? I’m afraid something bad will happen to you. I’m afraid you’re hurt, Penny."
Penelope smiled and stroked Ethan’s arm. She looked at the three knights belonging to the Askary family standing in front of her. The three men smiled at Penelope and nodded.
"Is My Lady all right?" asked Robert in a gentle tone. "I must speak to Sir Philleo for he has failed to protect My Lady."
Penelope blinked and immediately shook her head in panic. Her golden eyes widened. She shook her hands. "No, no. It’s not Sir Philleo’s fault, Sir Robert. Sir Philleo has gone to great lengths to protect me. I’m the one who caused all this mess. I am the reason behind Edmund Gerwyn’s rampage."
Hearing that, Ethan frowned. He and Robert looked at each other, then Ethan’s red eyes focused back on his little sister.
"What do you mean, Penny?"
Penelope scratched her cheek and cleared her throat. She also told him everything that happened. Of course, Penelope did not tell about her meeting with the Goddess Elleia. Penelope simply said she was taken to a strange place filled with flowers and light, and then a voice told her that she had purifying and healing powers.
"You... have both powers, Penny?" asked Ethan in disbelief.
Penelope nodded. She was confused by the expressions from Ethan, Robert, Jonathan, and Mario. "Yes. At least, that voice told me, Brother. And I also managed to purify a bit of the darkness in Ed’s heart—I mean, Duke Edmund—when that man went berserk earlier. I managed to calm him down."
"In that case, the wounds on the corners of your lips and neck are those given to you by Duke Edmund?" asked Ethan in a sharp tone.
Penelope shrugged and smiled reassuringly. "Brother, I’m fine. Duke Edmund did this without realizing it. You can’t blame him, okay? Duke Edmund went berserk and couldn’t control the anger and darkness in his heart because that man panicked and worried after seeing me disappear, Brother." Penelope tilted her head. "By the way, why did Brother Ethan and Sir Robert look so surprised when I said I have healing and purification powers?"
Ethan took a deep breath. "Those two powers are the ultimate power of Goddess Elleia, Penny. So far, even saintesses, no one has both powers at once. If a saintess or priest had healing powers, then those powers were all they had. If other saintess or priests have purification power, then they don’t have healing power." Ethan massaged the bridge of his nose. "You’re the only human in this empire who has both powers at once. That means you are the person directly chosen by the Goddess Elleia. However, it can also put you in danger. You could be kidnapped by people who want to take advantage of those two powers." Ethan looked at Penelope with a stern look. "Have you told anyone about this?"
Penelope shook her head. She was taken aback by Ethan’s words just now.
"Including Duke Edmund?"
Penelope nodded. "I just told him that I was taken to a strange place that I don’t know about. To the Crown Prince and Sir Philleo, I said the same thing. The only ones who know about this are Brother Ethan, as well as them," Penelope pointed at Robert, Jonathan, and Mario.
Ethan immediately looked at the three knights in front of him with a sharp gaze.
"What did you guys hear in this place just now, don’t you dare talk about it to others. If anyone finds out about Penny’s powers, you three are the first ones I’ll find and kill. You understand?"
Robert, Jonathan, and Mario knelt and look down. "Understood, Young Master," the three replied.
Ethan looked back at Penelope with a smile. Then, his red eyes blinked and widened as he saw a red mark on his little sister’s white neck. It wasn’t a red mark from a wound. It looks like... wait! Ethan immediately cupped Penelope’s face, causing her to blink and become confused.
"Brother Ethan?" Penelope frowned. "What’s wrong with you?"

"My neck? Ah." Penelope smiled awkwardly. "I told you, Duke Edmund didn’t hurt me on purpose because he was being influenced by the darkness inside him."

The man hid his face between her shoulder and neck. Penelope’s golden eyes then widened. Her face immediately heated up. Seeing that, Ethan frowned. And, his red eyes widened as he heard the name Penelope mentioned in her trance. "Ed..."
"What?! That bastard Duke is the one who dared to kiss and suck your neck?!" Ethan shouted. He got up from the bed and took out his sword. As Ethan drew his sword, the bedroom door opened. Edmund Gerwyn entered along with Sebastian De Louis and Philleo Aaron. The blue-eyed man had just been interrogated by the Crown Prince. Likewise with Philleo Aaron. When they saw the Crown Prince, Robert, Jonathan, and Mario immediately bowed to say their greetings, while Ethan glared at Edmund who raised one eyebrow.

Hearing Ethan’s words, Edmund immediately understood that the man noticed the red mark he had put on Penelope’s neck. The blue-eyed man crossed his arms and grinned, while Sebastian and Philleo frowned in incomprehension.
"Ah... so you’ve seen the red mark I put on Penelope’s neck, huh? It is a sign from me that will tell everyone that Penelope Askary is mine, little Duke."

"You really are a woman who drives me crazy, Penelope Askary," grumbled Edmund.
Penelope tilted her head. She hugged Edmund’s neck and stared at the handsome face of the man in front of her with her innocent golden eyes. Penelope smiled broadly and kissed Edmund quickly on the lips. This made Edmund freeze.
"Hey, you’re a very handsome man," chuckled Penelope. "This is the first time I’ve met a handsome man like you, Sir."
"Penelope," growled Edmund. The man massaged his temples with one hand and the other wrapped around Penelope’s waist so she wouldn’t fall. "Do you know what you just did to me?"
"I kissed you! I kissed a handsome man on the lips!"
"Then, will you allow me to kiss your lips?" asked Edmund. He felt like he couldn’t control himself, for some reason. "I also want to kiss the lips of a beautiful woman like you."
"Of course, you can!" Penelope nodded happily.
"You have permitted me. So, don’t be mad at me, and don’t regret this, Penelope Askary."
Edmund brought his face closer to Penelope’s. The man looked into Penelope’s golden eyes which looked very beautiful. Then, Edmund’s lips began to touch the lips of the drunk woman in front of him.
