Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1292: Unexpected Move
It was essential to separate the two sides from uniting together, which was a task impossible for just a few masters to accomplish.
No matter how strong they were, they couldn't pull it. And when that happened, William made sure to stress over his guild masters to continue collecting loot.
Then he turned around and joined the fray!
Willian knew that dealing with the fresh enemies would take longer time than others expected. The first obstacle lay in the separation between the high-end masters like Fang and Sloth with their allied masters.
Even with the disturbance William introduced to the entire battlefield, there were still lots of enemies the normal masters had to bypass to join Fang and others.
So the top priority for the top masters was to delay the advance of the enemies' fresh masters. It wasn't an easy task, and at many spots these masters failed to stop the enemy.
Even when Fang used the lightning array, it wasn't possible to stop most of the enemies. Yet William wasn't worried about that.
"Spread the word, let our masters near the portal turn around and move to intercept the incoming enemies!"
This was part of the reason he let those masters get closer to him as possible before he attacked. So, when many new masters passed through Fang and others, the masters who were fighting their enemies started to intervene and stop them!
William knew the first ones to fall if these new enemies were let loose would be those masters. They'd end up getting squeezed between the two enemies, ending up losing their lives for nothing.

The only hope for them was to turn their blades and techniques and face the incoming enemies. Even when logic depicted against it, as they'd expose their backs to the enemy, they listened to William and his friend's orders.
Luckily for them they listened. The enemies they were fighting before had a new threat coming from the inside. The movement of the large number of masters from the periphery and heading to the portal posed a higher threat than the thousands of masters who just ran.
Seeing this using spirit sense left everyone dumbfounded by how William could see this far ahead. The answer to this dire situation was right, even if it looked suicidal from the surface.
William didn't even bother to take a second look at that part of the battlefield. He knew such a move would save those masters on his side, while buying precious time for the approaching masters from the periphery.
His main focus now was to protect the area around the den. As he battled around the den, he noticed that these masters weren't bad, but they weren't that strong to be considered a real threat.
He knew their top advantage lay in their higher numbers, an advantage they were doomed to lose pretty soon. William focused solely on the area around the den, leaving the task of stopping and killing those new enemies to others.
Slowly things started to improve for William and his side. The masters finally managed to break through their enemies, and started to fight the fresh masters coming from the portal.
Their interception was timely, and that bought enough time for more masters to flood from the periphery to the centre of this battlefield. Yet with all this, the entire place looked pretty chaotic, and William knew the casualties would skyrocket.
If anyone spotted the entire battlefield from above, he'd see swarms of masters fighting each other. Enemies were mixed together, and it was hard to see a gathering of thousands of masters in any given location.
Just as things looked this dire, William suddenly made an unexpected move; he targeted Lingerie!
Even if she used most of her treasuries, William was positive he'd gain enough to leave a smile on his face for a long time. So when everyone was busy dealing with this complicated situation, William dashed fast, flashing from one point to another, with one spot in his mind!
Fang and Sloth left behind less than a dozen masters to deal with Lingerie. Even if she was halfway through death, she still resisted those masters, even killed a few of them!
She was a beast! A cornered beast! But William was confident she exhausted most of her tricks. Once he saw her showing many signs of weakness, he instantly left the entire battle and dashed as fast as he could towards her.
Seeing him drawing near left everyone fighting Lingerie puzzled. William never showed any interest in fighting Lingerie after he entrusted killing her to the high-end masters on his side.
Only those who saw him fight before like Fang and Sloth could guess the real reason behind such a weird and sudden move.
"That lad… He never stops to amaze me…" Sloth could only sigh, shaking his head in a hopeless way. He was way deep into the enemy ranks to drop the idea of racing William towards such big loot!
"Just let him be," Fang laughed from the side, "he deserves to get such a big harvest after what he did so far in this war!"
"Tsk!" Sloth couldn't find suitable words to refute what Fang said but couldn't. William did brilliantly in this war. In fact, he could be considered the top hero of this challenging fight.
And yet Sloth couldn't ignore the great loot William was going to have after this war would end. He got a taste before of how the outer world materials were valuable just from the underground city. And from the fight against Lingerie, he could tell there was tons of awesome stuff that he could easily get from this war.
Even with what Fang said, Sloth stressed over the masters he brought with him to focus more on gathering the loot as long as they got the chance.
"You decided to come and finish the job?" Lingerie was heavily wounded, and she stopped using her spirit sense a long time ago. She just spotted William when the latter was so close to her, with Chimeras chasing hot on his tail.
