Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1290: The Enemies Are In Shambles
William's masters moved just midway between him and the main army of the enemy. At such a distance, the hostile masters didn't have any doubt, as they could easily return back to their allies if things went south.
In fact, the main reason behind not suspecting anything lied in the constant defeats they suffered so far. William and his masters kept crushing the enemies in almost all confrontations so far. And when the enemies saw a chance to raise their morale, they didn't hesitate to fall into the bait.
"Good lads," William was keeping a close eye over the movements of his masters and the enemies chasing them. The result of this plan was way better than what he expected initially.
He thought he'd be able to lure a few thousands at most. But when his masters stopped at the areas he designed for them, there were thousands fighting every single group of them.
"I think they are way more impatient and desperate than I thought…" William spotted the reason behind such a remarkable result of his plan, "let' the enemy have little hope first, before I'll crush everything…"
He evilly smirked when he got such an idea. He thought his masters would struggle to lure the enemies after them. And yet when he saw how desperate the enemies were, he decided to give them false hope and then crush it all in one go!
"Listen up, let the masters on the periphery do this…" As William decided on this plan, he instantly contacted his friends, relaying his orders to them.
The next half an hour something happened at the entire battlefield. William masters started to show intense movement, as if they were trying to penetrate through their enemies and reach out to help their friends on the inside.
William knew his masters could easily pass through their enemies if they wanted to. But that wouldn't help at all. He made sure to stress on this point when he spoke with his friends.
He asked them to make sure not a single master would pass through the thick circle of enemies around them, not even to get close to do so.
Doing this gave the enemy a false impression that something went wrong and not according to William's masters' plan. Seeing this drove more enemy masters to go and attack William's masters on the inside, adding a few thousands more to every battle.
"Hope is a very dangerous thing," William shook his head when he spotted the growing number of enemies trying to kill his masters, "time to lure them further in…"
Even with all this, he didn't intend to stop there. He could take around an hour to hit all enemies around, but he knew the first moment he'd attack, other enemies would escape.
So he wanted to lure as many as possible before he'd make his move.
During all this, he kept the Chimeras busy while hitting the den from time to time. He also kept an eye over the ongoing big fights.
Killing Lingerie proved to be harder than what he even thought. After all this time, she was still standing, while lots of masters either went down or were burdened with tons of injuries.
The good news was that she was in terrible shape right now. Her body was filled with deep wounds, and she looked like she'd die at any given moment.
Yet that look didn't trick William, Fang, Sloth, and other high-end masters. They all knew she still had too many ways to bring more damage if they tried to go for a kill right away.
As for his friends fighting the remaining high-end enemy masters, they were half done. His friends were strong, and their teamwork developed to a satisfying degree. Yet their enemies weren't a push over. And without the mass murderer, William, his friends had to struggle from time to time.
Yet they still held the upper hand, and they managed to clear half of their enemies. William wasn't worried about the fate of these two battles. And so, he shifted his full attention for the battle waiting for him.
"I think this is enough," after a couple hours, he decided it was time to shift to offence, "tell all masters to start attacking seriously…"
Before he'd move a muscle, he made sure his friends relayed his orders to the masters on his side. Once he spotted the shift in their attack pattern, he started to move as well.
Once his masters started to attack seriously, their enemies got baffled by such sudden change. The enemies were this close from grasping their last hope in achieving their first success in this war. And yet when William's masters moved, things started to look dim in front of their eyes.
All hope was lost, and that made them resist in every possible way to keep the hope alive. But it was all futile!
Amidst all chaos, no one noticed the incoming death reaper until it was too late. William joined the fray, and by the aid of Chimeras, the killing rate skyrocketed, and his enemies started to show fear on their faces.
The Chimeras were lethal, and William's way to fight was simply unstoppable. Even if they were waiting for him, they would have failed in resisting him.
"Time to pull back a little…"
Killing the disarrayed and frightened enemies was going smoothly for him. But he never missed the ticking bomb behind the den.
After half an hour, he pulled back and started to hit the den again. As he pulled back, he expected the enemies to counterattack. And yet that didn't happen!
It seemed the loss of their top masters negatively impacted their chain of command. When the change in battle happened, the enemies lost any logic and couldn't properly arrange themselves.
So, when he pulled back, the killing continued, but at a slower pace. That was fine by him. And when he checked other battles around, he found the disturbance that he caused at one spot travelled across the other places as well.
