Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer-Chapter 606: Battleship Lux
Feeling confident that most of his preparation was still available, Xu Feng was ready to tackle the trial.
As for the objectives that were listed to him, he would be damned to believe the system.
Since the start of his Origin Trial, the system had been acting quite weirdly, leading him to believe it was no longer the same system provided for the Divine World he knew of.
After all, its behavior and structure-like decisions had been completely different. It wasn’t even an exaggeration to think that this system had the same personality type as Yaren.
Eccentric and unpredictable.
Therefore, Xu Feng won’t rely much on whatever the system fed him with and planned on investigating the scene manually.
Looking at the watch on his wrist, Xu Feng determined the date and time. He then gazed at the windows, only to see numerous stars and planets.
It was a beautiful sight, to say the least. Unfortunately, the premises on such beautiful scenery were always short-lived when it came to such a scene.
Xu Feng’s gaze wandered around before resting on the holographic display, where unfamiliar herbs and plants floated in detailed, glowing projections.
Despite their appearance, their features hinted at properties akin to the herbs he recognized.
A few even caught his attention: Astralvine, Nebula Fern, Etherbloom, and Cryostalk.
’This should be a clue to something that Michael was planning.’ Xu Feng thought, having assumed the identity of Michael.
Michael was a Cleric for the Battleship Lux, but the truth was that he was a lowly-ranked personnel. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have a dorm so small which only had a bed and a small desk for studying.
He took a seat and began inspecting these four herbs by clicking on the holograph that showed their properties.

Having finished reading their properties, Xu Feng began to wonder what was the use of them.
"Their properties are pretty much listed, so it can’t be about some new undiscovered herbs." He murmured, hoping to understand what Michael’s mindset was thinking.
One common thing that revolved around all simulation trials where a player assumed an identity to complete them was that their assumed identity was never doing something useless.
It had its meaning, and it was up to the player themselves whether or not they were capable of finding the cause.
Just when Xu Feng was about to browse through the rest, he heard a knocking sound from outside.
’Seems like my time is up.’ He thought, realizing this was the simulation where the player must begin their work.
He stood up, opened the door, and was greeted by a woman.
The woman standing before him exuded an air of sharp efficiency that immediately set the tone. Her dark, neatly tied hair was pulled into a severe bun, with not a strand out of place, complementing her angular features.
She held piercing gray eyes behind the sleek, minimalistic Augmented Reality (AR) glasses which scanned him with cold precision, almost as if she was analyzing his worth in an instant.
Aside from that, she wore the standard-issue uniform of the Human Resources Department aboard the Battleship Lux, but hers was immaculate and tailored to perfection—crisp lines and a polished badge pinned neatly above her left breast that read Assistant Coordinator: Aera Vance.
Her posture was rigid, and the slight tap of her tablet against her thigh betrayed impatience. The device, glowing faintly with status updates and crew logs, seemed to be her constant companion.
"Eighth division of the lowest rank, Cleric Michael! You have a lot of nerve to force me to come here to pick you up." Aera Vance exclaimed, her tone extremely icy cold.
"Our Battleship Lux might treat their crewmates better than every other battleship, but that doesn’t mean you could just slack off when it’s your working time. This is especially so when you’re just a trainee who barely passed the test to be here!" She continued, clearly infuriated by Xu Feng’s attitude and behavior.
For someone who was barely qualified to be in a working place, they should have been working harder than anyone else. Not to mention, punctuality was extremely important in their first week of working day to demonstrate their determination and willpower.
Yet not even a day had gone by and Xu Feng was already caught slacking!
"This is your first severe warning and if you were to receive two more, then you can jump out of the battleship and be frozen to death from the galaxy environment." Aera Vance warned sternly, turned around, and was about to walk away until she noticed Xu Feng remained motionless.
"Why aren’t you following behind?" She shouted in disbelief.
"Well, I don’t know, but maybe it would have been helpful if you hadn’t tried throwing your weight on me, Miss Aera." Xu Feng responded coolly.
