"Are you sure this is the correct path dude? We’ve been walking for almost an hour now!"

Aquarina complained as she walked over the dry steppes, the wind was strong and the sand flew away, inhibiting their vision a little bit.

These lands were mostly desertic, and there were large areas with not even living beings in them, they were known as wastelands, where not even scavengers could be found.

"I’m sure it was over there…!" Justicio said. "Come on, come on… Wait, there!"

Justicio was growing nervous as Aquarina was scolding him too much… Unlike Sylphy, Aquarina was very direct, and wasn’t as nice either…

"Is it over there?"

Aquarina squinted her eyes, suddenly turning them into dragon-like eyes, and then she saw it, a huge oasis sitting in the middle of this deserted wasteland.

It was surrounded by plenty of palm trees and other tropical plants, and it seemed it had been surrounded by a nice little jungle of its own.

She could even hear the chirping of birds!

"Ooh, it’s true! It’s over there!" she said excitedly. "Alright come here!"

She grabbed Justicio and Silvia, and while carrying them with her arms, she leaped into the skies, way above the small sandstorm they had to go through.

FLAAASH!

Using her Heavenly Step, she reached higher and higher, until they were able to finally see the oasis from all the way above.

"Wooaahhh!" Silvia gasped.

"Aquarina this is too high! Wait a second! Waaaait!" Justicio was a bit afraid of heights.

"Let’s go guys!" Aquarina giggled, as she rushed down faster than she jumped into the skies.

"Uwaaahahah!"

"Uuaaaagggh! I’m going to dieeee!"

Silvia screamed while laughing, while Justicio only screamed in fear.

SPLAAASH!

The trio ended landing in the huge oasis, which was a massive lake of almost a kilometer of length! It seemed to have grown, as Justicio and Silvia didn’t remember this little oasis to be so huge.

Once into the cold oasis water, Aquarina quickly manipulated the water around her and then, the trio emerged out of it within a bubble.

"Aquarina, you went a bit too far…" Justicio gasped for air. "I-I thought I would die… Hahh… Hahh… Oh man…"

"It’s alright," Aquarina giggled.

"Yeah don’t be like that Justicio, you’re super strong," said Silvia. "What’s falling for a bit? Didn’t you do the training where they made you fall off a cliff?"

"I-I used a blindfold…" Justicio muttered.

"Eh?!" Silvia gasped. "You can’t be serious… Hahah!"

"I’m serious!" Justicio blushed a bit in embarrassment. "Anyways, um, the serpent, where is it? Damn this oasis is huge."

"It sure is…" Aquarina nodded. "Pyuku, do you think you could find it?"

"I could!" he nodded. "Leave it to me, I want to help in something. I’ve felt a bit useless lately… I’m always just lazing around."

"Hahah, well, do your best then!" said Aquarina. "And don’t say that! You’re not lazy or useless, you’re my friend and familiar too!"

"Ah, thanks for being so nice…" Pyuku smiled, quickly jumping back into the oasis’ water.

SPLASH!

As they saw him swimming, Aquarina moved the water bubble to the lake’s shores, where everyone jumped into the soft sand.

"Finally… land," Justicio hugged the sand.

"Hey that’s weird, enough of it already…" Silvia crossed her arms.

"Well I guess he was a bit scared at the end…" Aquarian muttered. "Sorry Justicio… You ok?"

"Ah… I’m fine now," Justicio sighed. "Don’t worry, I’m ok."

"Well, alright…" Aquarina nodded, patting his head. "So what do we do while we wait Pyuku? Shall we explore?"

"Sure, let’s go! I’m bored already!" Silvia ran into the jungle without even waiting for the other two.

"Hey Silvia, wait a second!" Justicio chased after her, and Aquarina walked right behind him.

The jungle surrounding the oasis was larger than the two imagined, and much more populated of life as well.

There were birds chirping and singing everywhere, and they could also hear sometimes the screams of some sort of monkeys or other critters.

Just by stepping in, they already met some large creatures, giant black beetles were walking everywhere, eating whatever they found on the floor.

"Ooh, these guys! …They don’t taste nice," Silvia looked at them from afar. "They’re Giant Black Beetles. They’re mostly harmless anyways. Their exoskeleton is really good though! You can make some tough armor with that… but we don’t really need armor most of the time… But it still a tough material for cultivation. Maybe it could be nice for you Justicio."

"I had been thinking about that, yeah," Justicio nodded. "Aquarina, I remember you once said something… About a Beast Aura or something? I was thinking on getting a bug or something. I mean, aren’t they like the toughest nuts to crack all the time? The big ones I mean. They have hard shells so they could be a good ingredient for me to get a Beast Aura and maybe further evolve my Physique…"

"So you want to add an insect trait to your abilities, huh? I think this is the first time I see someone trying to do that," said Aquarina. "Is nobody else doing it in your tribe?"

"Nah there’s several other warriors," said Justicio. "Someone I admire, my uncle, he has a strong Crimson Dunes Centipede Physique and Beast Aura! He can cover his entire body with a crimson armor of centipede shells and his hands can grow giant centipede mandibles, he can also grow a long centipede tail with very sharp claws!"

"Ooh, that sounds pretty interesting, I had never heard of that before," Aquarina nodded, rubbing her chin. "Okay! Let’s hunt one then?"

"I’ll go!" Justicio ran towards the pack of Giant Black Beetles, who were eating with their young something from the floor.

The moment he rushed towards them, the bugs became alarmed, and they suddenly took some sort of defensive formation, circling around their young.

"Oh, a defensive formation…" Justicio said. "Well, I don’t want your kids, just throw me your toughest warrior!"

"KRIIIEEEHH!"

Suddenly, the bugs responded, as the largest of them stepped forward, the leader of the pack, a Giant Rhinoceros Black Beetle, twice as big as the rest, and with huge horn!

"W-Woah… What Tier is this, Aquarina?!"

"Tier… 5!"

"Okay, I can handle him!"

The rhinoceros beetle charged against Justicio, as he enchanted his body’s endurance, receiving the blow head-on!

BAAAM!
