Two days have passed since the Combat Test. Today, Alex was just chilling in his dorm room. He got early access to the normal first year dorm because of two reasons.

He came out in the top. And also defeated the fire Dragon.

So, the staff made a bit of exception and allowed him to live in the first year normal class dorm. He will get his designated dorm only after the Third Round is over and his position as the Top Student of the First Year is solid as a rock.

And why Alex went out of his way to get a dorm instead of sucking up to his sugar mommy?

The social media was full of the entrance exam posts. Not just the International Hero Academy. But all the Academy throughout the world. This was the time of the year where the whole world becomes active.

And this year is especially important.

If the challenger wins, they will get the rank they challenged. If not... well. That’s that.

As Alex was doom scrolling while eating snacks, he couldn’t help but notice how explosive of a growth the world experienced in the general talent department.

Alex suddenly remembered what his trap friend Deborah had said when they first met.

Alex once again felt proud of being a friend Cowaresis.

And Alex was damn sure that didn’t change. The protagonist was still the catalyst. Even then, whenever Alex remembers something about the anime, he couldn’t help but fill like crying in frustration!

"Fuck! Brain! It’s been four months! FOUR FUCKING MONTHS!! WHY can’t you still remember the fucking name of a single anime!?"

Alex threw his phone to the side in frustration. He wouldn’t scroll anymore. He needs to get out of bed and get ready. He has to meet up with Sakamo duo.

Saika said one of her friends wanted to meet him. Alex was honestly surprised when he learned that Saika has actual friends...

Then there was the mandatory requirement to be present when the Third Round takes place. Alex’s schedule was full with stuff to do. Alex hurried to get ready... or at least, that’s what he is supposed to do...

Alex was still laying there, not wanting to get out of the bed. He felt he hadn’t rested enough!

Even though he haven’t gotten out of bed for two days straight. All he did was sleep, eat and doom scroll like no tomorrow.

But a promise was a promise. Alex rolled to the side and fell down from the bed with the blanket wrapped around his naked body. His expression was like he had eaten shit.

Alex sighed and got up. He was fully naked. He can’t sleep with clothes on at all. Alex went into the bathroom and showered. He came out, feeling good and refreshed.

Alex put on new, comfortable clothes, took his phone and went out. His destination was Rome Lake at the east side of the campus.

Its a famous spot among students for its beauty. There are many good restaurants there as well. Alex walked out of the dorm. Under the early summer sun. He walked alone...

Not that he cared. He was on his phone.

The campus was an island that is more than 50,000 km². Basically a mini society of students because it was designed that way. To train students not just to fight monsters but also maneuver through society.

Alex walked through the crowd of people. Girls looking at him with blushs and awe. He felt that it was becoming a bother so quietly dipped and reappeared distance away. Then started walking again while being on his phone.

Normal people are allowed on the island only to conduct business. Only on some special occasions are every walks of people get to enter the campus.

The Third Round is tomorrow. Alex had forgotten and thought it was today. That’s why he was extra frustrated. But now he is in a good mood.

He quickly arrived before the lake. It was a beautiful sight. Crystal clear blue water shinning under the sun. Surrounded by green mountains. Alex sat on a bench. Very few people walking in the jagged stone path.

"Aika did her research, huh."

Alex was impressed by Aika’s capabilities once again. Although Saika said she was the one who found this spot, Alex didn’t belive her even for a moment.

Alex sat there, enjoying the view and the environment. Wind gently blew. Leaves rustled. Faint damp smell of the forest behind him mixed with the lakes watery smell. A weird but pleasant smell permeated through the air. Birds and seagulls sang in the distance.

"Alex~~ we are here!!!"

The atmosphere was gentle and peaceful before an excited voice broke it...
