Reincarnated Into a Shounen Anime-Chapter 21: Combat Test End

The Dragon and Alex were giving a staring contest when Alex hear sounds of air getting torn by something. Alex turned to his right and was hit by the tail of the Dragon.

Alex got lifted off of the ground before he was thrown back like a cannonball. Breaking the sound barrier.

BooOOmm!

He hit a mountain and it detonated upwards. Alex skidded the ground few times before he planted his feets into the ground. Big chunks of land going upwards like water parting like wave.

Before Alex could regain his balance, a beam of orange shot towards him. Alex dodged to the side. The beam hit the ground and condensed.

BoooOooOooOOoOOmmmMMMMmm!!!

A massive explosion erupted. Mushroom clouds slowly forming in the sky. Shockwave swping away dust like a wave of tsunami.

A single dot tore through the shockwave and moved towards the Dragon.

The Dragon snorted. It lifted its left hand and punched forward, towards the rapidly approaching dot.

Its punch and the dot collided.

WAAAMMM!!

The collision created a massive wave of shockwave that travelled in every direction. The land beneath the Dragon shattered into big pieces, falling into the lava. The lave got swiped away and crashing into the shore like wave.

Alex got launched back. He tore through the air as he was pushed back. The Dragon flapped its massive wings and started flying up. It’s colossal body hovering above the ground that was sinking into the lava. It’s eyes locked into the distance.

Then- the Dragon flapped its wings hard and flew up. Going towards the sky. Alex who regained his balance slowly stood straight and gazed at the Dragon moving towards the sky.

His expression passive. Alex looked at the time,

And there were plenty of time. So he decided to play with this Dragon a bit more. Alex closed the window, crouched forward and jumped.

BOOM!!

The land jumped up. Leaving a trail of dust behind. Alex tore through the air, clenched his fist and pulled his right hand back.

The Dragon looked back, slightly startled then growled angrily. It spun, and deflated Alex’s punch with its wings. Then flapped its wings to shot back and create some distance.

It looked at Alex, its eyes glowing red in fury. Then, the small spikes on its back started to glow red before shooting out.

Swish!Swish!Swish!

Countless spikes swiped through the air, leaving a trail of red behind. All the spikes targeting the falling Alex looked at the spectacle with an amused smile. The spikes tried to hit Alex but he dodged them effortlessly.

The missed spikes rained down to the ground like missiles.

Boom!Boom!Boom!

Small explosions happening in the ground, the black land turning orange from the intense heat.

In the sky, seeing that it’s attack had failed, the Dragon shot towards Alex with it massive mouth wide open. Closing the distance in a second. Alex preparing to punch.

But moment before the Dragon swallowed Alex, it dived down and its massive body spinning before its tail hitting Alex like a wip. Alex’s eyes widened slightly. Impressed by the Dragons intelligence.

WWIPPPP ~~~!!

Alex shot down like a cannonball. Breaking the sound barrier in a straight line. Leaving a trail of white behind. Alex got logged into the ground and the land lifted upwards. Massive chunks of land shoting up.

WAM!!

A beam of red energy hit where Alex was, it destroyed everything that came into contact. The Dragon continued its attack. But a dot coiled around the beam. Twisting it.

Alex quickly reached the Dragon who looked at Alex with wide eyes. Clearly not expecting him to survive. The Dragon hurriedly stopped its breath and prepared to defend but Alex was faster and punched the Dragons face.

BooOooOmmMM~~!!

The punch connected and the Dragons head whipped to the side. Its black scales shattering and scattering in the air. The dark clouds of the area disappearing because of the shockwave.

The Dragons eyes rolled back from the intense shock that rattled its brain.

Carried by the momentum of the punch, the gigantic body of the Dragon shot back before Alex grabbed its tail and started spinning it around with a wide smile.

"HEHEHE~~~"

’Hooooo~~~Yeaaaaaa babyyyy~~ That’s what I’ve been waiting foooor!!!!’

Alex was having the time of his life. He was living his dream of swinging around a massive beast.

The air screamed, twisted and turned. Alex spun the Dragon so fast that its body blurred in motion. Creating a tornado that affected the whole area. All the wind coiling around the center.

Alex started to change the trajectory of spinning slightly until he spun it vertically.

With one final spin, Alex threw the Dragon into the ground.

It tore through the air and hit the ground like a giant meteor.

WAM!!

It logged into the ground and the land detonated upwards like a wave.

Alex started free falling. He pulled out the status window again to look at the remaining time.

"Shit! Fuck!"

Alex’s heart almost jumped out of his mouth. He kicked the air and dove towards the ground.

BOOM!!

Alex pulled his fist back and prepared to punch the Dragon. The Dragon lay on its back at the center of a massive crater.

Unconscious.

Alex slammed in like a meteor.

BooooOoOmmmMMM!!!

The Dragons body caved in, its eyes shooting open, hands and legs lifting up from the kinetic energy before exploding into smattering. The kinetic energy of the punch made the ground jump upwards again. Colossal debris of land flailing on the air.

Alex and a worried expression on his face. He pulled out the window and saw that 35 seconds were remaining. Then he looked at the score board and found it unchanged.

He scratched his head, baffled if he was missing something.

"How long does it take to register? If it takes more then thirty-"

Alex breathed a sigh of relief. He was scared for a second. He really got carried away and didn’t even notice the time pass.

Alex looked at his attire a d nodded with a smile when he found no damage. Another notification rang out.

This time the whole Secret Realm heard it because it was the signal that notified the Examinees that they will be teleported shortly.

Alex waited for the timer to hit 0. And like before, a transparent pillar of light engulfed him and his vision changed. He found himself standing where he was sitting before. He jumped down from the bench and saw the Sakamo duo very tired. They have no visible damage to them.

Just burned out and exhausted. They were sweating all over. Most of the students were huffing and sprawled over. Trying to grasp some extra air to calm down their burning lunges. The air filled with sounds of heavy breathing.

Alex felt a piercing gaze at the back of his skull and found the white haired dwarf he had kicked out of existence glaring at him. His face was calm but his his ruby eyes blazing with silent fury and poorly hidden killing intent.

Alex smirked and flipped a middle finger at him.

"Dwarf."

He then ignored the dwarf completely and sat down beside the girls. Aika noticed the exchange but was too tired to give any reactions.

She was still sitting straight. Catching her breath. Her training not failing her. Saika on the other hand, completely leaned over Aika’s lap and was grasping for air like a dying fish.

Alex just chuckled and started waiting for the final results to be announced. And for not so unknown reason, the last batches ranking were hidden...
